This was a little gem we found through friends. I love finding places through word of mouth because…read morethen you know these are the places that are definitely worth checking out. And I wasn't wrong with this one. Row Fourteen offers farm to table or locally produced items on the menu. So menu can change depending on what is available. Restaurant has a rustic vibe to it but not your typical old, rustic theme but rather modern updated rustic atmosphere. Open kitchen and indoor as well as outdoor dining is available. Service was prompt and we were seated right away. I ordered their cider flight and that was a great choice. I got to taste 4 of their ciders and value wise, I think it was a good deal. And their ciders were quite tasty and I ended up getting 2 bottles of them to go. We started with order of sourdough bread and pickles. Sourdough with the butter (I really wish I had taken a picture of the menu) was a bit hit. We ended up ordering 2 more sourdough. I had wanted to order the steak but unfortunately for us, they only had 2 steaks left so I graciously gave up my steak and ordered their aged cheddar burger ok brioche bun. And the burger knocked it out of the park. Normally, I feel grossed out after eating a burger but this wasn't greasy at all. On a nice brioche bun, aged cheddar complimented the juice beef patty. Others who ordered the steak raved about the mustard sauce it came with. We ended the meal with pavlova and zucchini cake. I have never had pavlova like this. It was light and crispy and not overly sweet. It was a fabulous dining experience and definitely a memorable meal for me. Also, I tasted the cabbage and man, that was sooo good. Even my son who doesn't like cabbage raved about it.

We came with a group of over 10 people for the tasting menu ($80/person). The evening started off strong. The smoked beets were a highlight, and the chilled green beans with sesame seeds had a really unique flavor profile. The zucchini, bread, and pickles were solid, though the green salad and the pasta in a wet tomato sauce felt underwhelming. For the main protein, we were served chicken. Overall, the menu felt very vegetable-heavy for the price point, though as someone new to tasting menus, I didn't have much to compare it to. We also sampled four of their ciders (Plum Basil, Blue Pear, Lavender Nectarine, and Rosemary Cherry). As someone who prefers sweeter ciders, the Blue Pear was my personal favorite, while the others were just okay. The absolute star of the night was a pavlova that was delightfully crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the service speed. It seemed like the kitchen was short-staffed, with only one person cooking toward the end. Our meal stretched almost 3 hours long. The sun had set and the rest of the restaurant had emptied out. Most of our group was ready to wrap up by the 2-hour mark. While the initial dishes were intriguing and the dessert was fantastic, the dragged-out pacing and mixed food execution made it hard to justify the $80 price tag.

Today we took two cars so the whole family could join in, including grand children, and take photos at the best pumpkin display in Keremeos - not just my opinion either; I saw in the Keremeos paper last year it was named the #1 display and it was on page 1. So it is more than my favourite. It's in the sunshine and today my Dad, 85 years old posed behind the tractor. Lots of pics today of everyone. There were a lot of others today with the same goal of photos with the pumpkin display while getting some vegetable shopping done. The genuine authentic smiles from the owners each and every time we visit are always appreciated as are the fair prices. When my wife makes relish they fresh pick the morning she is coming so it's perfect for her canning later. My wife's relish is the best ! Today I bought apples, tomatoes, pears and onions and of course, samosas. If I could give this fruit stand and these nice ladies six stars then I sincerely would.

It waa quite pleasing and the spot everyone would want to take photos. I bought walnuts, peaches, pears and Nicola apples they were so delicious. Samosas smelled super yummy and we couldn't leave the store without them. Samosas were freshly made and it came with a dipping sauce. Highly recommend Peach King Orchards for veggies and produce. Samosas were mouthwatering, YUM!

On our way to Tappen with empty stomachs we stopped at their Vernon location for a sandwich. Both craving BLT's the lovely K, thanks to Yelp saw that they had that offering. We pulled in, parked, and entered the store. It's always a treat to go in as the store is well stocked, well lit and always clean. The young man that helped us at the counter was courteous and informed us of the soups that were available that day. Borscht I think might be a staple here, and the other offering was Mulligatawny, which we have made at home. Our soup and sandwiches ordered with the choice of back, or side bacon, we went to the bistro area to await our lunch. Prior to stepping away however our bacon was cut fresh from the side. Who does that? Needless to say our sandwiches and soup were delicious, and from the looks of it we weren't the only ones that have discovered this gem. Another redo while in Kelowna or Vernon? You betcha, and we can't wait!

After lunch we spent about $75 in the deli and had some of the best meats, sausage rolls and pepperoni sticks we've ever had! My only complaint is that they're so far away from where we live!
