CONSUMER BEWARE! I booked a room in May for Novemeber 2025. Given the reviews about the noise and inability to sleep, I changed my plans and decided to cancel my room at SLO Brew Lofts in June. I emailed twice and left two voicemails as per the instructions on their site for cancellation. I was to receive 100% refund with at least 30-days notice. I have received NO RESPONSE regarding my cancellation and no refund. I have now contacted my credit card company to investigate. I would hate for anyone to forfeit their money. Teri, NYC read more

I had a great experience until the day of my checkout where the person messaging me about my room stoped replying. I asked about how checkout should go (where I leave the keys). No reply. Later that same day, I texted the phone number and stated that I left a leather jacket there. No reply. So sad since I just bought it the day before at an expensive secondhand shop and it was the first one I've ever owned. :( I gave them a call on their public phone number and left a message as well. The rooms are beautiful! I went here for a photo shoot and wanted to stay for the weekend. Each bedroom and room has such a great touch of modern pieces and I loved each room. They have an easy process on entering the building with a code that they email you ahead of time. The only downside is you don't really know where you are going once you enter the door as there is no one there to greet you. We walked around for a minute or so and then an employee came to greet us. She was so nice and helpful once we found her and she respected our time on the property. ALMOST everything about the Bread Lofts was excellent. My only complaint was the bed and bedding. The bed was too high and the four-poster frame was too big for the room. And the down comforter was way too warm for late May. I asked for something lighter and was told there wasn't anything. So the only option was to try to turn the air conditioner down to about 60. It only made it to 65 - still too hot for a down comforter. Other than not sleeping fully for a couple of nights, we had a great time. read more

Reservation made for 1 night, 2 adults on a Tuesday night. Dog friendly room.The lofts are located on the second floor, above SLO Brew( A Bar) off of Higuera St. Parking structure is off site about 2 blocks away. Our room did not have a view and that was okay with us. The lofts are in a great location. Within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, bars, and parks. It is very important for you to know prior to booking... NOISE is consistently till 0200. Then starts up again about 0800. Do not stay here if you will complain about noise because you are told about it prior to booking. Yes, good ear plugs will do the trick. The loft we stayed in was well designed and furnished. With exposed bricks and a record player with many records to choose from. (More located in the hallway) Full kitchen stocked with all amenities. A large dining table for 6. 1 queen bed and a sofa with a working fireplace. 2 TV screens for our viewing pleasure. Large bathroom with just a standing shower stall. Extra bedding included. We checked in about 1500 and checked out by 0900. The bed is pretty high for someone short like me but was very comfortable. I did sleep well after 0200. Just one complaint is that everytime we walked into our room, there was a strong odor coming from the shower drain. We will be visiting again. read more

Even has a 'private back door' entrance so you get easy access to special events that SLO Brew has perfect location, amazing interior decorator (we've taken a lot of their ideas and implemented it into our living room/kitchen) and very spacious for any family/group outing!! read more

Love this place!! The location is perfect and the lifts are so unique! I would definitely recommend using earplugs seeing as downtown is a little noisy, but other than that it is incredible! They definitely hired the right interior designer! So darn cute in there read more

I stayed at the lofts a couple of weeks ago for my wedding and my entire wedding party and family LOVED the lofts! The suites are gorgeous and we rented the entire facility out so everyone could roam from suite to suite so it felt very open and fun. Their staff was also extremely accommodating while we were staying there and answered all of our questions and were super responsive. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is one week after we had checked out, we noticed the charge on our credit card was significantly higher than we expected. We never received an itemized bill prior to arriving or even we checked out (which in hindsight we should have asked for this also), we didn't notice until we looked at our credit card bill. I recommend to anyone booking far out in advance to ask for a copy of an itemized receipt in writing so you can see exactly what you will be charged for before you arrive. One suggestion for The Lofts is to automatically do this for every guest reservation and make it standard like hotels or airbnbs do. It's helpful for guests who have 20+ people staying there and collecting payment from everyone to charge the correct amount upfront, in the end we ended up eating the cost for what we didn't charge people from the beginning. read more

WOW!!! SLO Brew Lofts for the WIN! We stayed in the Castaway suite and it was absolutely gorgeous. Exposed brick, totally renovated, industrial and just cool. Right in the heart of SLO, we could walk to restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Honestly the perfect location for a trip to SLO. The staff was accommodating and friendly. One of my favorite touches was the record player + the wide selection of vinyl to play! Highly recommend for a fun weekend getaway! read more

We had a birthday party planned here. We got kicked out of our room at 2am without even one warning. We never had management talk to us or anything. Not one warning or anything at 2am? What kind of hotel is this. Avoid if you are younger than 30 and only stay here if you plan on watching the tv on mute. read more

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER STAY HERE! $2,034.00 for 3 miserable days/nights. Arrived Thursday afternoon, for the street fair that evening. What a joke. Deep fried crap and corn of the cob, or Ribs the size of Texas holding with their bare hands, while siting on the dirty curb. No tables to sit and eat your street food; if that's what you want to call it. More like carnival food. We booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bath loft. Beautiful! But the owner must be a complete moron, because he put these beautiful Lofts above, and across the street from the loudest clubs on the block. No one that goes to these clubs can afford these lofts, and the people that can afford these Lofts, don't want to listen to crappy bar bands until 2 am and then the trash trucks that pick up the previous nights filth at 6 am. You're lucky to get 4 hours sleep. And, don't think you're napping the next afternoon, because a "Wanna Be" Doors band has their base so low, the whole room shakes for hours; between 12- 4. Then another band, and another band. There's a beautiful fireplace. Not romantic while listening to kids yelling and HORRIBLE bar bands blasting SO LOUD!!!!! The owner should sell all the cool furniture and just call it a day and know his clientele, is 21-28 years old. Let them tear the crap out of the place; but at least he would have the right people for these lofts. Puke and beer would be the theme! We were the only one's here. Now I know why. read more

My friends and I were so shocked at how cool this place was and we had an awesome stay! The beds are extra comfy as well! SLO Brew Lofts is such a special place. It is so well done. I loved not having to check-in in the traditional key kinda way - being given a code in time for arrival as well as a unique code for our entry into our loft. The loft we stayed in was extremely well planned and decorated. It was great to have a full kitchen-didn't think we would use or need it but sure enough we did-couldn't resist. I wanted each and every one of their SMEG appliances! The location is perfect to experience all SLO has to offer. We wanted to be in the thick of it. The Thursday farmer's market is a not to be missed attraction and SLO Brew Lofts is front and center. So fun to hear all the excitement and to be able to walk right into the action. Hannah, the hotel manager was/is a dream! She handled all the details of our reservation and future bookings. I might add-helped me correct an almost fatal mistake (wrong date for my daughters move-in time) She is proactive and communicative-exactly the traits you want in a manager of this type of venue. Loud. Loud. Loud. And did I mention loud? It's such a shame because these lofts are beautiful. The decor is perfect. And during the morning for a few short hours it's peaceful. Then the restaurant noise and music can be heard while you are laying in bed as they get ready to open. And at night....the water on my nightstand shook with the bass of the DJ until 2am. When the music finally stopped I was relieved to get some sleep...but our loft was over their outdoor patio and so until 3am we listened to them washing it down and taking down umbrellas and yelling to each other. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE WITH CHILDREN!! they have limited their demographic to people who want to be up all night and party. Which we did the first night, but the next 2 nights when you want to rest and can't....not worth the $$$! read more

We are in the process of moving to SLO & have been coming here for 10+ years. I think we have stayed at pretty much every kitchy hotel the city has to offer. SLO has been sadly lacking upscale, trendy, well-designed accommodations over the years, until recently! And SLO Brew Lofts are one of the best enhancements the city has to offer! Pros: the place met my 3 basic standards for me to even review a hotel - comfy beds with great pilows, great towels/Bath Sheets & robes. In addition, the decor was superb, there fridge was well stocked & included free waters, Nespresso, and even some beers from the pub below. Wi-Fi was included & we loved the Bose speaker you could connect with to play our own music. The So-So's (won't call them 'cons', just things worth noting that I personally didn't LOVE) - the units are smack downtown, over the busiest section of Higuera. This could be a Pro, depending on what your plans are. But despite the windows being good quality, you will need earplugs to sleep if you go to bed before 2am, at least for the Gypsy & Vagabond rooms, which face directly onto the street. Next, the bathrooms were fantastically designed, including a rain shower head - but think of it as more of a 'light Spring shower' , versus a 'hefty downpour' - as the flow is not very strong. But that's just me. LOL. And last, and probably the biggest thing to consider for staying here is that there is not parking on site. This is especially critical on Thursdays after 5pm, when the street is blocked off for the market. You will get a parking pass for the garage that is 3-4 blocks away. But you will need to drive up, drop your bags & check in, then go park & walk back, unless you pack light & an carry it all with you. ** Note to SLO Brew Lofts - this could be easily remedied by advocating for the start of an app service in SLO called Luxe Valet. The same parking issue you are facing, is huge in San Francisco. Luxe Valet is the solution. Check it out. Overall, great place, a bit spendy but if you catch it on a weeknight in low-season, like we did, you can score some decent prices. Keep in mind too, that most rooms are 2 bedroom, so prices split between 2 couples is actually pretty reasonable. read more

We had a great time! We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites and it was awesome! The noise didn't bother us one bit. It's so fun to be able to walk or stumble to any place you need to go. I'd say the only draw back for me was we didn't get our deposit back because my son threw up on the sheets. There was no mess other than on the sheets because the bed was stripped. So that was a bummer. Even with that being said we'd stay there again. This time without my son the second night. Lol read more

Stayed two nights and never again. They were neat and clean and great location but the noise was horrible. Didn't sleep for two nights. The band played downstairs and it felt like they were in the room with us. That wasn't the worst part. By 6am both mornings someone was in slo Brewery moving tables or cleaning up and it was so loud. Basically we slept for three hours both nights. It would be a great place for college kids that want to party all night but too expensive for them to afford. I just checked the rental agreement that we signed through VRBO and number 9 stated no loud noise past 10 pm. read more

We Spent Thanksgiving at the SLO Brew Lofts and it was amazing. Lots of room and an amazing well stocked kitchen. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner there and listened to some of our favorite records that were available to play on the recored player in our room. Located in the middle of town so you can walk everywhere, and only had to walk downstairs to listen to some great live music, play pool and have some fresh brewed beer. Would highly recommend staying at the lofts on your next visit to San Luis Obispo!! read more

Loved this place! The apartment was delux. Great to spend time in a place that has spent money on architectural and interior design. There were so many little thoughtful details that made our stay really comfortable. They didn't sacrifice quality on anything and it shows. We stayed with our 2 teenage daughters who also loved it, it felt so hip and cool. There are a lot of negative reviews with the noise...but with a good set of earplugs it didn't seem to be a problem for us, I slept just fine. But come prepared. They are very clear with you up front that it will be loud so I didn't feel like there were any surprises. We even got a call after we booked to make sure we were ok with the noise disclaimer. Totally worth it to be right downtown with so much to do. And Thursday night farmers market is the best farmers market I've ever been to!! We definitely will stay here again (and we are a family and far outgrown from the party scene). I would not stay here with young children but my teenagers where totally good with it. read more
