If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. The whole team is amazing, professional and very caring. I walked in a month ago with dental trauma baggage , a disaster of a mouth from past bad experiences and fear the size of King Kong. I was never shamed, never chastised or embarrassed by what needed to be done. Dr. Tiffany Wu, listened, and eased my fears. She worked with me on a plan to correct what needs to be done and provided options and a timeline. Her staff is great especially Diane, she embodies professionalism, care and is super personable, she has a way of quieting your fears. Surgeon Richard Kim is the man for your implants, the procedure was not what I built it up to be and now that I've gone through it I will definitely return for a couple more, like I said earlier I have a mouth that needs care and can't wait to laugh out loud, smile and not be embarrassed of my teeth. My journey for better dental care has started thanks to LA DentalTown. I've been coming here for like 3-4 years. Initially it was a nice change from my old dentist. This place was cool, they gave you a little menu before your check up started with options for juice, tea, and other amenities, which was pretty random but cool. But things got weird financially - just for everyone's information my dental insurance DD PPO is great and I've never had issues with out of pocket payments or being told up front what my costs will be: 1) Had an X-ray done and evaluation before my wisdom teeth extraction. My appointment was basically done but they said they needed to do a 3D scan(it was mandatory for their procedure). Then I was told I needed to pay for the 3D scan? Weird. 2) I checked in for an appointment and was told I had a $20 copay. I paid. Then I thought about it the whole session and realized that's not normal. I get 2 free cleanings a year and it's been that way for the majority of my entire life. I asked and spoke with the finance person and she said thats just what it is. I called my insurance right after walking out, the insurance rep was pissed and told me to go back in and demand a refund. After going back and forth with the finance person, and the finance person speaking to the dentist, I got my $20 dollars back because... "we're family" (idk why but the two ladies that worked the finance position were just - idk, like stern robots) 3) Recommended my friend with DD HMO to check this place out. They got serviced, their insurance was billed. Around the same time I was told HMO wasn't accepted (I was thinking of switching to HMO). So that's kinda weird right? 4) Asked about Invisalign after a visit and was given a bunch of info. I was shown a printout with a quote for the costs. The finance person wouldn't let me take the printout when I said I wasn't going to get it done through their office. 5) [The visit that solidified my opinion] Went for my normal checkup and cleaning. Was told I had a bunch of cavities, I've never had cavities in my adult life but I understand that things can change. Had two fillings done. Seemed pretty rushed since the office was super busy. Had a bunch of aches and sensitivity and wasn't able to floss between two teeth because the filling was too crowded. They readjusted it on a different day; I was able to floss. Then the pain/aches continued for a few weeks. Finally went to a different dentist that was recommended to me by a coworker that had experienced a similar issue. ***After evaluating my teeth and redoing the filling the new dentist questioned and doubted whether I even needed fillings in the first place. He found that there was some decay in the tooth that was previously worked on. Got one of the two fillings replaced and now everything is good so far, still need the other redone. So that was my experience with this place. I would recommend getting a cleaning here if you have decent insurance. Go somewhere else for everything else. read more

I'm getting braces soon, so I came in for a cleaning and filling, and I couldn't be more grateful for how gentle and professional they were. Let's be honest--numbing is usually the part that makes me the most nervous, but Dr. Tiffany made it feel so normal and completely comfortable. I didn't feel rushed or anxious at all. I'm saddened as I write this updated review. I had been coming to this dental practice for about 2 years. A second opinion by a trusted dentist informed me that the dental work I received over the course of those 2 years was done incorrectly, causing me to deal with a more complex procedure. This truly was a gem for me until it wasn't. Hoping this isn't the case across the board but for now I am not returning. I was hopeful that things would change as my experience with this dental office was never bad. Had to get a root canal and two crowns re-done with my new dentist, something that ended up being expensive and time consuming. My experience here was always 10/10 but unfortunately due to the circumstances this is no longer the dentist for me. I also noticed that toward the end of my relationship with this dental office the amount of root canals and crowns I "needed" were starting to get excessive. Everytime I made an appointment I need something else done, which made zero sense to me being that I take my dental health very seriously. I now see a dentist in a different area that has confirmed that I in fact do not need any additional work done besides the work that needed to be re-done. Overall the practice was amazing when I first started going, hopefully others will have a better experience in the long run. read more

From the moment I walked in, I knew I'd entered a whole new world. Minimal wait time--none of that DMV-style wait. Brianna and the front office team welcomed me instantly, had me do the paperwork digitally (fancy!), and made sure I was at ease. I felt like a VIP. Then came the treatment room--scratch that, let's call it the spa sanctuary. The assistant, Karla, was like a walking ray of sunshine, making the entire experience feel more like a spa day than a dental appointment. They gave me a back pillow, a neck pillow, and even an eye mask. At one point, I forgot I was even there for my teeth--I was half-expecting a hot towel and a mini-massage! And the hygienist, Angelica? A dental Michelangelo. When she was done, my teeth looked practically new and way too sparkly for a weekday. They even made my new crown right there (no need to wait over a week). I was in and out within two hours with a brand new crown. I came in today for two white fillings after being told last week that they were old, cracked and had holes in it (I didn't even know lol). Dr. Wu has such gentle hands and a caring spirit-normally, I get nervous because of the noises and previously bad experiences, but they made me feel so comfortable and offered me a warm lavender neck pillow! Won't be going back. I was treated so poorly, and hurt tremendously. I warned the dentist that I had a high tolerance for the numbing injection. She said she understood and could relate via her mother, but proceeded to rush the job and hurt me to the point of tears and shaken from the trauma. After finishing the procedure, I was sent off on my way without being given time to even compose myself. As if trying to shoo away a bad memory. Everything was done in less then 20 mins.
