Tooth extracted, went better than I could hope, so far so good. Dr. Yamashita didn't try to add costs.

Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish. The procedure itself was super smooth and way easier than I expected. You can tell they really know what they're doing and care about their patients. What really stood out to me was the care AFTER my appointment. The staff continued to check on me, ensuring that i was awake and stable enough before i could leave and go home. I'm at home recovering currently, and Dr. Coon personally called to check on me, which meant so much. That level of care is rare and shows how much they genuinely care about their patients.10/10 experience!! I will definitely be coming back if I ever need anything else done and maybe even switch over my primary dentist haha. I will be recommending them to everyone I know no doubt! Amazing doctors, amazing team, and overall just a top-tier experience

My husband visited this dental office during an emergency due to a severe toothache. Long story…read moreshort, after undergoing a root canal and spending nearly $6,000, the crown that was placed came off just a couple of months later. He returned to the office, and the crown was recemented. Unfortunately, it fell off again afterward. When he went back for a second time, the office wanted to take additional X-rays, and the office manager, Angie, informed him that there would be a charge to recement the crown if they were able to do so. My husband questioned why he should be charged when the crown had already failed twice within a very short period. It seemed reasonable to expect the office to stand behind their work. Instead, Angie stated that the crown came off because he had not been consistent with his dental checkups. I found that comment both unprofessional and inappropriate. As mentioned, we only sought treatment at this office because it was an emergency and our regular dentist was unavailable after hours. My husband routinely receives his cleanings and dental checkups throughout the year. As a Director in the customer service industry, I would never speak to a client in that manner or make assumptions about their personal habits without knowing the facts. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. The lack of accountability and the way we were treated left a very negative impression. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this office.

It was essentially my mouth's way of protecting the area from the constant irritation, similar to how a callus forms. Unfortunately, because the growth protruded out, I would occasionally bite it while eating, which caused it to get larger. My dentist recommended having it removed before it became worse, and I'm so glad I was referred to Huntington Oral Surgery & Implant Center. Dr. Neimann was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and informative. He took the time to clearly explain the removal procedure, what to expect, and the healing process, while being completely transparent throughout. The entire staff was professional, understanding, and knowledgeable. The removal itself was quick and painless since they properly numbed the area, and my recovery was surprisingly fast. Aftercare was also very thoughtful--they sent me home with a bag of gauze (which I didn't end up needing), an ice pack (a fantastic idea since I didn't have to go get one), and chapstick. They also provided Dr. Niemann's personal mobile number in case any issues or questions arose after hours, which gave me a lot of peace of mind during recovery. I had a great experience from start to finish and would definitely recommend Huntington Oral Surgery & Implant Center for any oral surgery needs, whether it's wisdom teeth removal, implants, or, in my case, removing a fibroma. The assistants were wonderful and helped keep me calm, and the positive atmosphere (including Sabrina Carpenter playing when I sat down!) made a huge difference. What impressed me most was that Dr. Niemann personally called me the evening after my procedure to check on my recovery and made himself available if I needed anything. That level of care is rare. I'm now on Day 3 with virtually no pain and hardly any swelling. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would highly recommend Dr. Niemann and his team.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Chew and his staff. I felt that both Dr. Chew and the…read morefront desk staff member, whom I believe was called Layla (I am not completely sure of the spelling), were rude and unprofessional toward my mother and me. My mother and I are Vietnamese. I speak English, but English is not my first language, and there are medical terms that I do not always understand immediately. During the appointment, there was a moment when Dr. Chew used a medical term that I did not understand. I paused and my facial expression showed that I was confused. Instead of taking a moment to explain the term in simpler language, Dr. Chew responded in a way that I felt was rude and dismissive. Communication was already difficult because Dr. Chew's English was not always clear to us, and his accent made it difficult for us to understand some of what he was saying. I do not have a problem with someone's accent--everyone has one--but when communication involves medical information, the patient and family should be given enough explanation to understand what is being discussed. Dr. Chew then spoke primarily to the staff member, Layla, who translated the information into Vietnamese for my mother. Her translation was not completely accurate, but we were able to understand approximately 60-70% of what was being communicated, and we did not complain about it. I even told her that she could speak directly to my mother in Vietnamese because my mother could understand her. What bothered me was that Dr. Chew continued speaking to Layla rather than communicating directly with me, and then Layla repeatedly asked me whether I understood what the doctor had said. I found this confusing and disrespectful. I was trying to understand medical terminology, not refusing to communicate or pretending that I understood something when I did not. I also witnessed Layla speaking very loudly and harshly to another elderly patient while I was taking my mother to the X-ray room. I was shocked by the way she spoke to that patient and hoped that our experience would be different. Unfortunately, when we interacted with her, I felt that she was also very loud and disrespectful toward us. Patients should not feel embarrassed for asking questions or needing medical terminology explained, especially when there is a language barrier. Medical professionals and staff should be patient, respectful, and willing to make sure patients and their families understand important medical information. I am sharing this experience because I hope the office will take communication, cultural sensitivity, and respectful treatment of patients--especially elderly patients and patients who speak English as a second language--more seriously. My mother and I decided to visit different offices, and everything went smoothly. Based on our experience with Dr. Chew, I hope you will carefully consider whether he is the right choice to serve as a primary dentist. We did not feel that he showed enough sympathy, patience, or respect toward patients.
