Two years later and I'm still going strong with this dental office! I drive about an hour just to come here, and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. My hygienist, Johana, is the sweetest and has such a gentle touch. She always makes sure I'm comfortable and, most importantly, makes every visit as painless as possible. I also started my Invisalign journey here, and everything has gone smoothly so far. Even though I don't see Dr. D as often now, he's always been very intentional about making sure I leave happy and that my results are exactly where they should be. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and the outcome. I don't see him as much now which is actually a great sign because it means we've been able to maintain a healthy smile! This review is looooong overdue. I've been a patient of Dr Delakyan for many, many years - since he opened his first practice in Montebello! Back when it was ON Greenwood! Anyway, he's the best dentist you guys. Extremely friendly, kind, and professional. Also honest, humble, and has a great sense of humor too. I'm never in pain either - he's gentle and lets me know if I feel uncomfortable at any moment to let him know. His office itself is very welcoming. The ladies working the front desk are always so nice; like genuinely nice. The other dentists are great too! He's got a fantastic team of employees under him and you can just tell they are all hardworking. 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone! read more

I've been going to Greenwood Dental for a few years now. From my experience, I recommend going weekends although it is a little bit harder to make appointments for Saturday. But I am glad this recent visit was great. It took me 3 4 months to find an appointment, but it was worth it. Joana was my hygienist, she provided the most gentle cleaning I've ever encountered. She took her time, and I appreciate her caring and not rushing this appointment.I normally walk out with swelling ontop of bleeding gums all of my visits but not this time! It's hard to find gentle hygienist nowadays. Marilyn was my Dentist this recent visit & she listened to my concern in regards to my recurring cancer sores & I was able to receive cream for it. Let me preface this by saying that I've had the worst luck with dentists, since I was a child. My treatments always ended up botched and I lost faith that I'd ever find a good dentist. After years of being away from the dentist I knew it was time for an appointment. The receptionists are beyond nice and accommodating! They explain everything - cost, protocol, treatment, payment options - with extensive detail! Dr. Marylin is AMAZING!!!! She is a perfectionist and an absolute God-send! She communicates every step of the way - consultation, x-rays, treatment - and makes sure you're comfortable the whole time you're in her chair. I cannot stop recommending her! She makes you feel at home, she's friendly, makes great conversation and her #1 goal is to make sure you receive the best dental service! And I have! Dr. M has worked on my crowns (full and partial), giving me a painless experience. My son (11 y-o) also had appointments with Dr. M for fillings and teeth extractions. My son loves her as well. Look no more. This is the dentist office you want to go to. I spent a while looking for a honest and good dentist office that didn't try upselling me or doing fishy things with the insurance. I've had some bad experiences in the past. The staff is friendly and professional as soon as you walk in the door. The front desk receptionist I believe her name is Kristine always greets with me a smile and is always so polite. The first time I went they didn't give me a hard time about not having my insurance information they looked me and found everything right away. They are clear and very detailed about what you need in a way that I can understand. The dentist is gentle and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They have Netflix in every room. Dr. Tran has been my dentist and she is fantastic. Extremely professional and makes sure I understand what's going on with my teeth. The tips she gave me are great as well. I'm a classic fearful traumatized dental patient since childhood days...therefore thanks to flossing and dumb luck, I've successfully dodged dental visits for years and years and years....and years. But now no more. Out of the blue, a loose molar...so loose, I thought about tying a string around it and slamming shut an open door...no pain but impending, for sure, this problem called for a pro...I'm now on the hunt for a good dentist who takes my new insurance who also isn't all about old school and medieval...I started canvassing friends, doing my due diligence...but thanks to YELP, with weighing all the recent reviews, I took a chance on Greenwood. Appointment 11 am on a Wednesday. PROS: Standard of care , this place sets the bar. 5/5. Everyone from the owner, the technicians, the dentists, the office staff ...everyone I met was friendly, professional, caring, respectful....I felt like a valued patient...Impressive!!! I didn't have to wait more than five minutes upon arrival before I was escorted to an exam room for my initial consultation and x-rays. And in fact, had to finish the new patient intake paperwork while sitting in the gorgeous dental chair. Wut wut? This chair was like soft lux leather/pleather...and it was a lovely friendly neutral beige, like at a spa. Even the waiting room...spa-like. Dr. Spartak Delakyan, owner of the practice (and fellow Trojan), gave me permission to shortcut his name and call him Dr. D...but I loved his given name and instantly thought he was movie-star guapo, which does't suck. But more importantly, he reviewed my x-rays with me, we talked about what he was seeing, what I was seeing, it was like a lesson in how to evaluate my own teeth, and I loved being involved in assessing the situation. I could tell easily that he sets the tone for this office and he's hired people who reflect his values... honesty, friendliness, respect, compassion. He answered my many questions with patience. No scare tactics here, just kindness. Happily, it was a same day extraction. Well, it's what I needed and this dentist recognized that need, lest I'd be swallowing the tooth. Yes let's do it. We scheduled the procedure for later that day. They advised me to eat lunch, as I wouldn't be able to eat for two hours after the procedure. Great advice. The extraction. 5/5 Dr. Tae Ha (another fellow Trojan) wins The Best "Chairside" Manner Award. He talked me through what he was doing. He gave the best encouragement, reassurances, and check ins on my emotional and physical experience in the chair...he reminded me to breath multiple times....Not gunna lie...no matter how advanced the equipment, the multiple injections of numbing meds hurt ...however, it was so great Dr. Ha's skill was so good, the actual extraction was muy rapido like all of two minutes...and the rest of the time, it was cleaning out the gunk and packing in the cadaver bone...best not to think hard on it.....Overall thanks to Dr. Ha's skill (also movie-star good looks), and importantly his compassion...a positive outcome. Thank you, Dr. Ha!!! About After Care 5/5. I was given great aftercare instructions, verbally and also written. Also instruction on how to reapply the gauze once I got home, and I received a supply of gauze just enough. I was told it might take 12 to 14 hours before the bleeding stopped, and yup, just when you start to worry it won't stop, in hour 13 it did completely. I also received a prescription for antibiotics and pain med (ibuprophen). Next day, to my surprise, I didn't need the pain meds anymore. But glad I had more than enough, just in case. Thank you team for walking me through the post-procedure procedures. I About 21st Century dentistry. 5/5 OMG... this office is state of the art!!!...the aforementioned comfortable clean dental chair...not a scary contraption at all...it even had elbow rests!!...,there's even a discreet flat,-screen tv on a wall facing the chair....where's the classic spit basin?...gone??!! Now a vacuum sucks up saliva...and the action of the vacuum is initiated by the patient. The dentistry of my youth resembled implements of medieval torture....even the process of x-rays hurt. But welcome to the 21st century. The x-ray machine looked like a smallish handheld speed detector. Dr. Ha used a small stick cameras to document the work. ...it was like taking a tooth selfie!! The use of bio mimetics, the use of natural substances to repair patch damaged teeth...also impressive. Cleanliness 5/5. This place would pass a white glove test, so visually clean... CONS: My HMO insurance. It doesn't think an extraction is a medical procedure. So I paid out of pocket. Ouch, I wasn't prepared for it to be slightly over $500. But then again, helloooo 2023 and inflation. So I learned my insurance is more like a discount plan. OVERALL: I've recommended this practice to five people already. And the Greenwood office called me next day just to see how I was doing. Wow! Big thumbs up! read more

I went to Greenwood Dental on 4-29-25 for a second opinion consultation. Dr. Delakyan was GREAT. I felt very comfortable with him and his dental plan for me. I even told the front desk I was going to switch my insurance over to Greenwood. So 4-29-25 I called my insurance and switched. My insurance even said I could charge that visit to them, and insurance would reimburse me the cash payment. Great. I discussed a few dental codes with my insurance so that I understood the "fine print". 4-30-25 I was off work and decided to drive to Greenwood Dental to "hopefully get a few pre authorizations sent in and look at possible dates for dental work. I walked in and was asked to wait a few, no big deal. 10 minutes later they call me to talk to Jennifer the "treatment plan coordinator" and I tried to explain why I was there. Jennifer looked in the system and said 'May 1 2025" is what shows as your effective date. I AGAIN tried to explain what I discussed with my insurance on the phone. I was cut off numerous times, I logged into my insurance portal and pulled up the 4-1-25 date and Greenwood Dental listed. Jennifer just stared at me WITHOUT even attempting to look at the phone screen. I then pulled my air pods out and said "ok I'll call my insurance" and she said "We're actually busy today and can't discuss codes or this issue. She repeated "the computer shows effective date 5-1-25" I said "So I drove 6 miles on my day off to try to get pre authorizations going and look at dates to begin work, but for NOTHING. Jennifer printed a form which I understand showed 5-1-25, and placed it on the counter. I grabbed the form and left, super unprofessional on her end. This is the HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY. I work hard for my insurance coverage and did my due diligence to understand my insurance coverage. I went to my car and called my insurance and they CONFIRMED my coverage date(4-1-25) and said "they don't understand why Greenwood shows a different effective date". So my insurance offered to fax the conformation over and I agreed. Today I had driven to Greenwood Dental with my insurance dental codes because this is important to me, and so I wouldn't be lost in a "call you back" system. I believe in being proactive. Btw. There was one other patient in the waiting room while I was trying to discuss this issue with Jennifer. It seems like if you don't have an appointment, good luck with any help. I was NOT treated like I was important, and the time was NOT taken (TWO MINUTES) to even hear me out. This was only my SECOND day as a 'prospective/new patient' and I can't imagine having to be treated like that for any upcoming visits. I will look for a different dental care facility who is compassionate, and can listen and maybe think outside of the box. read more
