I'm an elementary school teacher. Over a year ago, I admired a fellow teacher's nails and asked where she had them done. She told me Dolce. I started going there and haven't gone anywhere else since! In fact, there are almost a dozen teachers from my school who go there now because of the quality of their work and the amazing looking nails we've seen on each other. Dolce is conveniently located across from the Shadow Lake shopping development in Papillion. There is a Starbucks next door so you can grab a drink before your appointment. Appointments are not required; I've done both walk-in and appointment to get my nails. I do prefer appointment so I can plan, but it's nice to know if I need to get them done spur of the moment, I can. The chairs at Dolce are comfortable. The nail techs are all fantastic. Thuy (pronounced Twee) is the absolute best! You can bring in a pic of your inspiration and they can make it happen. They play music in the salon, but also typically have HGTV on the televisions. I get caught up watching the home renovations sometimes! :) My favorite part is that you can get acrylics if you want, but they also offer a vitamin gel nail manicure that has allowed me to grow out my own nails! All the photos are my own natural nails with the vitamin gel manicure. This place is not clean enough for me. They do not have enough polish colors either nor rhinestones shapes. The nail tech named Ben kept cutting my cuticles too far back making them bleed and then when I would point this out to him he got an attitude with me every time. He never once apologized. I told him he could give me a fungus infection cutting me until I bleed like that so I stopped doing business here. He also was not good at doing designs, terrible at gel-x tips application and just ok at acrylic. He also was not good at almond nail shaping. read more

I went to this nail spa because I was in the area and I'm sorry but I have to give ONE STAR, worst service I have experienced. They had me there for 2.5 hrs, and charged me $70. First they said it would be $70 because of the coffin shape and the design, so I changed my mind because at that point I was there for 1 hr and all they had accomplished was removing my nails at that point. So I told him I'll just do French tips and short (because at this point I just wanted to leave), normally I'm in and out in a hour at the nail salon I normally go to called MARTINI NAILS. Then when I was done he still charged me $70 and then claimed it was for my nail removal, does not sound right to me at all. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS NAIL SPA AGAIN, I normally get dip and I never get charged to remove my set to start a new set. So honestly I DO NOT recommend this place at all! read more

Ben is the way to go here. He did both my gel pedi and pink and white gel mani with tips. Making an appt was easy. He was timely and thorough. He never got rushed. Candace does not only amazing nails but lash extensions. They have a deal where it's only $65 with a pedicure for a full set which are usually $150+. These stay on well for 3 weeks or so but I get mine filled every two weeks. The amazing price allows me to! Made an appointment for two people to get a manicure. We arrived 5min before our scheduled time, the place was packed with people getting manicures and no where for us to go. We had to sit and wait like we were walk ins and my friend got seen 15min before me. Um hello? Maybe if it's just me but if I walk in with my friend the last thing I want in my experience is to not be able to talk to her the whole time we are there. Nails and girl talk go together like wine and cheese, it just does. Facility still nice, hated that the tech kept pressing me to get Shellac.....I said no like 3 times. So pushy on the services, not keeping appointments (I got seen 20min past our appt time), and separating a group of two girls that booked/walked in together. Great place. Been going here for over 10 years. I go to Twee and she its amazing! I get solar nails and I like them really short and she always makes them look amazing. Great pedicures and great place for waxing. They never over wax. Other places want to leave me with a strip of eyebrows, not here, they always look fantastic. I usually make an apt, and usually don't have to wait. If i do, I don't mind because I know they are just making sure to do a good job. Worst nail experience ever! First and last time i will come here. They do not have their prices or services posted ANYWHERE... on a website or in the salon. I came in for acrylic with regular polish color. I normally get asked at any other salon if i want gel but after i say it once they leave it be. Not this place. She kept going on and on about how gel is more natural looking, only $10 more, why you no want gel? over and over she asked. I personally like acrylic because they don't break on me like gel. After I told her 'no' literally the 10th time, she started talking in their language to another tech. It was completely obvious it was about me not wanting gel because of her mannerisms. I may not know your language but I'm not an idiot. So she didn't talk to me during the rest of the process until it was time to wash my hands before the polish got put on and pay. Again she tried to get me to do gel polish and then shellac and that she'd give me a discount. I know what i like and i like acrylic.. even if the rest of the world likes gel!!! I told her no... for the millionth time. She was sloppy with the polish on the sides of a couple nails. And once it was all finished 2 of my nails were filed so crooked. It was easier to see once i got my purple color polish on my coffin shaped nails. And then one it was all done she asked if i wanted a pedicure!!!! Not the best place. I felt rushed. She was rushing so much that she was jerking my hands around and pulling them in the direction she needed to the point that I was uncomfortable. I tried to point out that my nail was completely crooked and she tried to convince me my finger was crooked instead. I've never had a crooked nail before. There was no small talk. for my birthday I went in to get a full set and I gave them a reference picture. by the end of my appointment they were closing and cleaning around me so I didn't feel comfortable speaking up and asking them to redo them. the nails weren't even the same color as the reference picture, were chunky and upshaped. Everyone I showed were absolutely appalled. Front counter lady was very rude and demanding.. we sat down on the massage chairs and they didn't even have the plastic wraps on The foot tub.. they are very nosy.. and VERY RUDE!!... they treated my sister like SHIT. Her nails were crooked.. and they didn't even remove all the nail polish.. when my sister asked to remove all the nail polish.. they said you won't see it. The worst nails salon I've ever been to. We wanted somewhere close by shadow lake after shopping. So mom and I decided to try this salon. When we first came in, they asked us to come back in 30 mins. We came back 30 minutes later only to wait in the chairs for another 30 minutes. After waiting so long, they tried coming up with excuses for the wait. They could have at least told us it was going to be awhile so we could go somewhere else. After the tech was applying the nail polish I noticed the color was all over my skin. I kept showing him and he would clean up some but most was left behind. Then, he proceeded to tell me that my nails are shorts and he's used to painting long nails. I had been going here regularly but becoming less satisfied with how poorly shellac was applied. She didn't go close to edges or to cuticle. They looked grown out in a few days. Filed nails too short and crooked. Also she always offers a Deal and tries to pressure you into either doing both mani and pedi or using shellac when you ask for regular. My experience at this salon was fine except that the technician that gave me a pedicure was very pressuring and persistent on choosing a pricier shellac option rather than letting me get a basic pedi. After the pedicure, she asked if I wanted a manicure then mentioned it would only be 10$, with this deal she mentioned I went ahead and changed my mind to get a manicure. After receiving the manicure, when we were settling up I came to realize I was being charged for a 85$ manicure rather than the previously agreed upon price of 10$. As someone on a budget, this was a very disappointing and awkward moment as I didn't want to leave without paying what they asked for however she would not take anything less. Worst pedicure ever! Cold water for my feet and I had to get her to change the water the first time because it was dirty! No foot massage, heel scrub, or anything extra.
