Open mic night
Andrea B.

I have passed by this little cafe a few times and always wanted to try it. Well, tonight was the night we finally walked in and gave their coffee a try. They also had a lot of assortments of cakes (coffee) and breads and other pastries. I ordered a classic vanilla latte and one of each coffee cake to go along with it. The lady behind the counter was more than friendly to tell me the story behind her mother's recipe for one and her addition to the other. As I was waiting, I realized there was music playing and the place was packed . We came on an open mic night, and nothings better than discoveing new talent and being the first in to hear them in some cases. We stayed to hear three people, and all were really great and all country music. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience, and the coffee and cake were fantastic. I can't wait to return for some more goodies and good sounds.

This place is a family owned coffee spot in old town Arvada. It's got a cozy vibe for a weekend morning coffee. We stop by here to grab iced or latte and bagel with cream cheese before watching a movie at the theater nearby. There is a little sauce and spice station, where I spread some cinnamon on top of my latte. There's nothing special to note about this place. Just a convenient neighborhood spot to grab coffee and a quick bite.

Great service, nice people & amazing coffee!! This place is a welcome homey vibe. 10/10 would go again. Loved the special they had, maple bourbon oak latte with oat milk !!

Inside dining room. They also have a patio that wraps around the shop and a second dining room to the right

I was on the hunt for an open coffee shop that had space for me to wrap my cookies in old town Arvada and came across this hidden gem. It was everything I had been looking for and more. It's nestled in old town Arvada and gives a small town, homey, mom 'n pop vibe. I'm not sure on the history of the shop but it seems family owned as they had this cute little girl helping with transactions. It's definitely not a in-a-rush type of place. They have conversations with their customers, seem to really have that neighborly, polite to everyone attitude that was refreshing and much appreciated. As for the menu, they have quite a selection of coffees, teas, and non-coffee drinks and are very much customizable. They also offer food and their pecan sticky buns are fantastic. They offer the option of warming their pastries up AND adding a dollop of butter on the top which I could not say no to. For the price of the sticky bun, the tea, and the overall experience I would definitely come back. They had the perfect amount of space for me to comfortably do my cookies, they have reliable WiFi and the overall atmosphere was one I would experience again. Oh! I also had ended up needing my items to go as I couldn't finish them and not only did the little girl help me box my cookies but the dad offered to reheat my drink/top it off for me! The only coffee shop I've ever went to that went above and beyond like that.

Wow did this place ever exceed expectations! I sort of stumbled upon it after a visit to the Arvada Library yesterday and am so glad that I did. The shop it so is so warm, comfortable, and inviting to sit and enjoy for awhile. It has a charming homey feel- they literally gave the same chairs at one of their tables that my grandma used to have in her kitchen. They even have an alcove with toys- a huge hit with my son! He and I shared a cup of tea and a slice of their almond coffee cake. I honestly expected it to be dry but it ended up being delicious- moist and buttery- jam packed with almond slices and brown sugar. I've pretty much been thinking about how good it was since swallowing my last bite! Without a doubt I will be making La Dolce Vita a regular part of our routine- my son did not want to leave- at 21 months he has a pretty limited vocabulary but kept referring to it as "fun", "good", and "back". So there you go: La Dolce Vita: Fun, Good, Back. Give it a try. He's not wrong.

The smoothies here are great! :)

Decent espresso although it tastes a little thin with a whispy crema. Rancilio machine. Unknown beans.

For all the time I've spent in this general area, I don't know how or why I have never been to…read moreBardo before now. It is such a gem! My sister used to go regularly when she was in school and let me know that the hours were super awesome for that routine - open at 6am, closed at midnight. Perfect for an early morning study session or late night cram. Or if you're just in the mood for all-hours coffee! Parking is admittedly a bit cramped in the front and pretty awkward to get out of if it's busy, but there is a lot behind the building with more space. There are a surprising number of tables and comfy chairs inside, and the vibe is kinda retro which my sister and I both really love. Their menu is pretty big and they also had a ton of holiday drinks to choose from. My sister has raved about the coffee they use (kaladi), so I got a drip coffee and since I wanted a little festive treat, I also got "the grinch" lol, which was a matcha latte with oat milk and pistachio. Take a wild guess which cup was mine in the photo. My sister got a hazelnut latte, which also came out really pretty. The coffees were ready very quickly, and we were able to find a little table near the back of the shop. Our three drinks (all 12oz) came out to about $16 which I think is pretty on par with specialty coffee drinks, so I felt it was worth the price. The one girl we interacted with at the counter was super friendly, too! It seems to be a very popular spot, which doesn't surprise me even a little bit, and I cannot wait to come back again to try other drinks!

OBSESSED is an understatement!…read more The 60's flare and vintage signage! (Think groovy designs!) The cozy interior and vibes from yester year! (bright colors, plush pillows and white brick!) The friendly, welcoming staff who were eager to assist! (The 2 baristas were so helpful and nice!) The OG menu offering a wide variety of staples and seasonal offerings - all of which are carefully crafted and delicious!! (We opted to try the Cordial Cherry latte, Peach Lychee Italian Soda and The Blackmoor - all smooth, refreshing and caffeinated!) YUM! The variety of food items - made both in house and locally! Very cool to support local, especially when it's so delicious! Mom and I made our way to yet another coffee shop and liked this one a lot - so much that we'll be back tomorrow, and the next day! ;)
