    Banana and walnut bread.

I like Blue Nest Coffee. We've been a few times already, and it's a cozy little spot to catch up with friends or get some work done. On our most recent Sunday visit, the line was out the door! They had some delicious-looking gluten-free options, including a tea cake and almond bread, but unfortunately, they were sitting out with the other bakery items, so not safe for anyone who truly needs to avoid gluten (I hope they address this!). We ended up ordering some of the pre-wrapped gluten-free breads instead, including a banana walnut bread. Friendly baristas, fast service once ordered, and all our drinks were pretty good.

So cute! Tucked away in a discreet plaza, came on a Sunday around noon, plenty of available tables but still good number of people enjoying their morning. I tried the seasonal drink (the last one on the list, can't remember the name) the way it comes and it was yummy. They were out of most of the bagels, and they said they couldn't put the sausage egg sandwich on a bagel anyway (i think it comes premade), so i just tried the sandwich which was like a little English muffin, it was decent, gooey enough. Wish they had more food/pastry options! Nice way to spend one of the last warmer weekends

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon before a therapy appointment and wish I could have stayed longer! Really nice vibe - cozy elements, unique quirky art, and plenty of spots where one can get work done. Decent amount of seating outdoors, too. Since I came in the afternoon they didn't have a ton of pastries left, but all looked yummy and came from a local bakery. I went for a jalapeno cheddar bagel with cream cheese; the texture on both were spot on, but the flavor was more akin to a plain bagel, which was a bummer. For my caffeinated bevvie, I went with a seasonal special, "Cheyenne Mocha" because I'm a sucker for huckleberry. It came out quickly in a cute cup with some dried flowers and plenty of ice -- winner for sure. Staff was friendly as well. Overall, a solid spot in an unassuming location - will definitely make a point of coming back! Especially in the evening hours or to take advantage of their happy hour.

I tried blue nest coffee this morning for a coffee treat and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a latte with housemade brown sugar syrup and it was freaking delicious! They offer non-dairy milk for $1 extra. They have a seasonal coffee menu, but the winter drinks were all holiday drinks and since it's February I'm not in the mood for peppermint anymore. They were also out of some syrups. Their instagram updates regularly with the seasonal selections and I am definitely waaaay more into some of the other seasonal offerings. If I am out this way again, I'd definitely stop by another time for a treat. The interior is small and was very crowded and loud when I arrived at 10 on a Monday, FYI. This place is kid friendly and there were a few families here. If it were warmer, I would've stayed and enjoyed my drink on the patio. In addition to coffee, they have tea and hot coca. They also serve bonfire burritos and a few sandwiches and pastries. They had vegetarian sandwiches in the case.

Cute spot, cute patio! Great menu and some food. Had a little line when I got there so they're doing something right!

Stopped by here on the way home after doing some shopping in Lakewood. The parking lot was very crowded but I managed to find a spot. Upon arrival I was greeted by the chaser who was very welcoming and kind when I told him it what my first time in. It has a cute ambiance and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I chose to go with the MacIntyre or Macintosh Nightcap drink off what I assume is their seasonal menu. It was a great blend of whole milk, espresso, and their house made brown butter syrup. It was served piping hot and it was absolutely delicious. I also opted for a Bonfire breakfast burrito which they sell there. Being so close to Golden the burritos was super fresh and full of flavor. I hope to be back next time I am in the area.

Such a cozy cafe, perfect to read a good book. We had a latte and tea and was very pleased to learn the tea is loose leaf! Service is prompt and very friendly. Looking forward to returning!

We started with the tuna and guacamole--both were fresh and delicious. Then we shared a flatbread and the special watermelon arugula salad, which paired perfectly. The portions were great too--we even had leftovers! Our waiter was excellent, kept our drinks full, and recommended the flatbread, which we're so glad we went with. Since it was still early, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, with just a few couples enjoying date nights nearby. Definitely recommend if you're in Golden--we'll absolutely be back!

I opted for the Chateau Ste. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc from the Horse Heaven Vineyard, and it was lovely. It was very refreshing with light citrus notes that weren't overpowering and a really nice body overall. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff for the presentation; the glassware was crystal clear and spotless, which always makes the drink taste a little better. The atmosphere is perfectly casual, with TVs playing the NFL playoffs (and presumably other sports), making it a relaxed spot to hang out without being too "stuffy." We dove into their large food menu and started with the fried pickles and the spinach artichoke dip served with veggies, both of which were delicious. The service was friendly and jovial throughout the visit, which made us feel right at home. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that we had a small lapse in service where we had to ask a second time for lemons for a glass of water, but the staff was so pleasant that it was a minor blip in an otherwise excellent visit. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of that wine list!

Cocktails are great, wine selection is wonderful, service is attentive, and a vibrant environment. Give it a shot! One thing to be aware of, and one recommendation - They do not take reservations. After entering the building, the hostess approached with a tepid "what's up." Our server acted like taking our order was a favor, and she was so eager to walk away I had to get her attention TWICE to finish ordering what I wanted (hey, can we also get an order of pepperoni rolls, HEY, can I also get an IPA). Zero attention paid to water and drinks that needed replenishing. The manager needs to pay more attention to the level of service and professionalism of the staff, a lot more. This may be why they tack on a mandatory 20% surcharge with a little lecture on the receipt about how it provides a living wage, because I doubt they'd ever get tips at that level with this style of service. Or maybe the service is that way because they don't feel any need to work for a gratuity. Under the circumstances, calling this a "hospitality" charge was just plain tacky. I didn't feel like there was any hospitality, certainly not enough to warrant a 20% fee.

The vibe is classic cozy steakhouse--dim lighting, comfortable booths, good for a casual night out. We kicked off with the shrimp cocktail, which was good: decent-sized chilled shrimp with a tangy cocktail sauce. Asked for extra raw horseradish to really make it pop! The new bread offering was much better. Super-soft sweet rolls were an upgrade over the previous offering. For mains, we tried the ribsteak (bone-in) and the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle from the Winter Grill menu. Both were cooked to our requested temps (medium-rare), juicy enough, and the grilling was competent with a nice char. The ribsteak came with sautéed mushrooms that added some nice flavor. The sirloin featured cremini and shiitake mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce, which was rich and indulgent--the sauce was probably the best part of the plate. That said, the quality of the meat itself felt a bit questionable; it was tender but lacked the deep, beefy flavor or marbling you'd hope for at this price point. More disappointingly, there wasn't much discernible difference between the ribsteak and the sirloin in terms of taste or texture--both felt pretty similar, which made the higher-priced ribsteak seem less worth it. We finished with the Billy Miner Pie, a classic here: mocha ice cream on chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and caramel. It's rich and satisfying--definitely a highlight of the meal. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints there, and the place wasn't overly busy. Overall, it's a reliable chain steakhouse option if you're in the area--good enough for what it is, but the main reason we come here is proximity. Solid, but room for improvement on the star of the show: the steaks.

It was 5pm on a Friday and I did not have a reservation (I know, lesson learned). We had about 15 folks that ultimately decided to meet up. They were super accommodating. They got us in a space that could do 12 and as folks came we squeezed in. When an adjacent table opened up, they added that to our group. They did separate checks for us and did a group gratuity that was most definitely deserved by their staff. We ordered two of their large Combination Boards for the group. These were beautifully put together. Others in our group tried some of the other appetizers. I was told the cheese balls with crackers and the meatballs were tasty. Another friend got a couple flat breads and enjoyed those. For wine, we chose to order a bottle of their Broadbent Vinho Verde Dry Rosé from Minho, Portugal. We ended up getting a second bottle, it was lovely. The birthday girl had a blast and we all enjoyed each other's company. Yes, next time I will make a solid reservation. This was hard to do because I did not have a solid count on who could come, but I will guestimate next time.
