To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. Their restaurant was closed on the day of our visit; we would love to return to try it as we are certain the quality would be exquisite given our experience on the wine tour. Their wine shop also offered an extensive selection of local cheeses and artisan products - perfect if you want a higher-end gift or souvenir from Lanzarote.
