The best tapa was bruschetta with iberico ham and tomatoes - the best bruschetta I had in my life. Soft but slightly toasted bread with big chunks of tomato and iberico ham. Divine! SOLID: sweet potato cakes with coriander, golfo and smoked cheese. Soft and sweet. Crunchy ok the outside. Definitely worth trying it. Padron pepper was also great, not too soggy full of flavor. It boasts the most modern facility we toured on the island. Louise was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. This was a wonderful spot to see solera winemaking methods in real time, which they use to make their sweet wine. The outdoor terrace was a lovely spot to taste the delicious wines. Their restaurant was closed on the day of our visit; we would love to return to try it as we are certain the quality would be exquisite given our experience on the wine tour. Their wine shop also offered an extensive selection of local cheeses and artisan products - perfect if you want a higher-end gift or souvenir from Lanzarote.

Why would you not have excellent food and good wine in nice surroundings? We had the stew and the fried octopus and both were excellent and relatively cheap as well. The terrace had a gorgeous view over the vineyard and the service was impeccable. The desserts were good as were the starters. Many seemed to just taste the wines and have tapas to go with them. Being a winery, they had several wines to choose from. We liked the dry white and the sweet dessert wine.

The Bodega is quick large and I really enjoyed the informative displays all around walking us through the process of wine making. Once we viewed the nice museum inside the Bodega we walked out to go visit the actual vineyard. It was very impressive, its a place I have never seen before with a very unique style of hole pits for each grape tree. It was very impressive! After we walked around the allowed areas we went inside to their nice tasting room and tasted a few of their unique grape wines. I really enjoyed all of them and we were happy to take some home with us as our souvenir. I would highly recommend visiting one of Spain's oldest vineyard's. It is such a unique experience and such a beautiful one of a kind landscape!

We appreciated learning more about the challenges of grape growing on the island and the unique landscape. Highly recommend booking one of the guided tours - we learned a lot about the terroir and saw some incredible old vines that were untouched by phylloxera. The winery is working on interesting new projects including winter harvest. We enjoyed several of the wines and stayed for some delicious local cheese and ham.
