Service was fast and friendly! I had 3 tacos that were amazing!!!! 2 Barbacoa and 1 asada! The barbacoa was so tender and juicy, not fatty with perfect flavor. The asada was also tender, not chewy with excellent flavor. Everything tasted fresh! Their salsas paired nicely with everything! Recently visited here after a couple of years. The outside has been remodeled but the same slow service inside. When I arrived there was absolutely no one there. I placed an order after the food attendant noticed me. He was busy on his phone. A woman came out and seemed to want to rush the order But as soon as several other customers arrived and placed orders, it seemed mine was forgotten. Everyone else received theirs and were even sitting eating before I received mine. It was an easy order of tacos, beans & rice. Placing the order is also odd as you have to order & pay at the register, and then the cashier yells the order out across the room. Kid you not...the only plus side was the price which was $6.50. The food was good, rice was very soft and so were the beans, super tasty. Tacos were ok. The chips given on the side were a plus. They were freshly made. Food is good but the prices are not so good. Been going here for years and their portions have shrunk lately but the price stays the same. I used to go once a week but now I go once maybe every three months if that. They just are not worth the price any more. I know they have cost and have to pay some how but is it really worth it to loose regular customers. When I pay $24 for two burritos I expect to be able to have some leftovers to snack on later in the day. Not any more. read more

Recently visited this place and to be honest I don't think I'll be back ever, we purchased 3 asada fries and drinks and in total it was almost $70, I understand if it would've been a restaurant but a meat market place yeah not making that same mistake, Fries weren't exactly worth $18+ , what sucks is their menu has NO prices listed and you don't know how much you're paying for hot food until you are paying at the register I think that's how they get you to pay. honestly that's so wrong for the customer I think they adjust their prices daily or something, but for me I'll never be back I'll take my chances at a Mexican Restaurant or AMPM read more

Drove through this small town and came across this hidden gem!! I must say this is the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had the pleasure of eating!! I had the #1 chicken taco combo!! The beans were cooked to perfection and the rice paired well with it!! The tacos were DELICIOUS, the chicken was marinated well and the salsa complimented the meat well!! They have a salsa bar with pickled carrots and jalapeños as well!! I will def be coming out of my way to come to Kerman again for these tacos!! read more

We came back here again and unfortunately we were not as impressed. The asada fries have a ton of toppings and they're good but I don't recommend taking them to go as it becomes kind of a soggy mess. I got the chicken quessidilla this time and it was definitely lacking flavor. I also found a bone in several pieces of the chicken. Bravo to bring obviously homemade and slow cooked but take a little more time cleaning the food to prevent this sort of thing. Once you bite into a bone I feel you kind of lose your appetite. My husband had the carne asada burrito and it was fine. I would suggest sticking with the asada here. The outside renovation looks great. I may come back here again because it was really good the first time and every place has odd days. I will definitely stick to the asada options if I return though. read more

Passed by it, didn't realize it was callled "Star" market. Ordered breakfast burrito (chorizo) I think it was longaniza but very yummy . Paid $5.99 which surprised me, the burrito wasn't very big for the price BUT very tasty. The burrito had, refried beans, potatoes, eggs, chorizo and fresh Mexican cheese!! Also since I was there I picked up a pound if alpastor meat to cook at home (meat market/carniceria) inside this grocery store. The store has been completely remodeled on the outside and lloks great, but the inside still could use a facelift. The four stars is more for the food at the taqueria inside then anything else. La Estrella is setup in Kerman's old Buckboard Saloon. I was really pissed when I seen what they were doing to the old place with the remodel, but all good things must come to an end. The good news is that they serve some damn good Mexican food. Carne Asada tacos are really good here but for you menudo lovers this is the place to come. The menudo is fresh and amazing for vicious hangovers!!! Order that with the fixings on a Sunday morning coming down, along with an ice cold bottled Coke and you'd be good to go to confession or whatever your heart desires!
