Now, we didn't get that one because it wasn't a vegetarian slice, but if they ranked so highly, surely the basic cheese slice would be at least acceptable. Spoiler alert: it was. My wife and shared a single margarita slice, split in half for the two of us. We were between lunch and dinner, so the main goal here was to try this pizza, not necessarily to fill ourselves up before resuming our Scottish-appropriate adventure. It was good. Super thin as a good NYC slice should be. If it were the local slice option for us back home, I would be happy with it. We thought the dough was a little bit undercooked, so not quite as chewy or crisp as we would have liked. It had a good mix of cheese and sauce, and the flavor was great. So perhaps not the best slice we've had, but miles above the chain pizza spots. The staff was really nice. We were there at about 3:30 in the afternoon, so it wasn't really very crowded. They have salads, and also Detroit-style pizza (Though I think only in full-pie form and only Pepperoni on the menu, so not sure if a vegetarian option is available if you're ordering a whole pie. It's a small but welcoming environment with rainbows everywhere. If we had a Civerino's near us in California, it would definitely be high up in the weekly pizza rotation.
