My fire card was set to expire the end of this year and I missed my hospitals free class. Fortunately, I found LA FIRE CARD. The class that Shelly taught was so much better than the ones I've been to in the past. Primarily because she teaches it from a nurses perspective rather from a fireman. Not to take anything away from them. Being a nurse, She understands the real struggles and tough decisions health care providers will face in case of a fire. The information was spoken clearly and subject material provided was up to date. The videos actually taught me something and didn't put me to sleep. In case of a fire, Always remember to close the door(answer to quiz). I rated this class 5 stars! 1 star because the location was easy to find along with parking right across the street. My 2nd star for the class being only 3hrs long and not a dreaded 6hours. 3rd star for the very organized criteria that was presented on the screen and her presentation was perfect! The 4th star was for supplying bottled water, some candy, paper to take notes, a pen, a bathroom, and even a little cute paper with our name on it. Finally, the 5th star is for providing us with very important information on what to do in case of a fire, especially with children! Great experiences taking classes at LA Fire Card! I came back to take my third class this week. I've taken fire safety, BLS and ACLS. All of the classes are fast paced, I always learn so much more and I feel prepared to save lives. The classes are fun, snacks and refreshments are provided, there are great views of downtown LA and they have class raffles and prizes. They're having a sale on all their classes so be sure to sign up. There's also a referral program where u can get a $20 visa gift card when you refer a friend. I really love the folks at LA Fire Card! This is actually my second time coming back to the fire safety class. Can't believe it's been four years already. Time sure does fly by! But I really LOVE their class, I always learned so much on how to save lives, and how to avoid fires. As well as how to rescue people, the list can go on and on! Because it's such a comprehensive class. The customer service is always stellar! And I take advantage of their coupons and purchase other classes such as MAB and CPI as well. I took the LA Fire safety class to receive my blue fire card for my upcoming OBGYN rotation and it was a breeze. They offer a zoom class that doesn't require your camera to be on, and you just have to make sure your audio works and you are able to answer questions in the chat box. The only reason why I'm not leaving 5 stars is that I signed up for a Sunday class when their offices are closed. I tried texting about some technical difficulties I was having before the class started, and only received automated messages. Beware Sunday classes as you won't be able to get ahold of their office to reschedule! read more

I wanted to take the time out to give a quick shout out to the staff and instructors at LA Fire Card! They are so nice and sweet. Everybody that's employed has a healthcare background. The instructor is an RN. The healthcare provider experience definitely shows, while they explain things to us in layman's terms and also in professional terms. It was a mix of students both for initial and renewal CPR, but I didn't matter because the class moves at such a nice pace that we were all able to keep up and even refreshed our skills and, jog our memory if we had forgotten. Not only did that have several classes per week, they were also at affordable prices. You can pick and choose the dates and times to fit your needs. The customer service is superb. They allow you to text them to answer questions and registration is easy online. They also offer a lot of other affordable classes. I had my first experience with LA fire card when I had to come to California as a travel nurse. Their website was very straightforward and easy to register and their pricing was reasonable. I ended up taking the fire safety class first and got my card right away. They also mail it to you free of charge. I want to come back for an MAB class very soon. They are open every day except for Sunday to answer questions and they text back really fast. I'm definitely going to let my other nurse friends know that they offer a lot of different classes as well. I'm very happy with my experience. read more
