Absolutely the worst. "nice" gym I have ever been to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The employees are rude, dismissive, and lazy. Management isn't much better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The weights are spread all over the floor between dumbbells and plates and multiple areas. My wife almost tripped on one of the plates while we were waiting to complain to the GM.. their cable machines have very little accessories to use the machine machines because they're either broken or missing... Crunch fitness in North Tampa, a less populated area had a larger gym and three times the amount of freeways ... and all of them were religiously put back either by members or staff were here. They put white signs up on white paper on white poles nowhere near the weights for anyone to see them to be re-racked... [[HIGHLIGHT]]the staff and the management don't care and flat out said LA Fitness would not do anything about these problems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid $300 to start this gym on a family membership for first last and an annual fee which is an absolute joke. ... they're charging you an annual fee before you're even there for the first year..... so I paid $300 to not be able to use free weights and to trip overweight while trying to find weights to use. And because of how busy the gym is at all times of the day, you will never get a real good workout in unless your plan is just do cardio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I did complain to the GM, he made me wait while he was on a conference call with his boss who I heard him hang up with after he told me that boss was out of town, but he was just on a conference call with him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]... I am the chief operating officer of a multimillion dollar international company. If it disgruntled customer called me while I'm on a board call I'm gonna tell the CEO and the rest of the board that I need to deal with a disgruntled customer and hang up immediately. And [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did watch some of the employees so I try to have a conversation with the front desk looking at me and my wife as we tried to work out waiting for the manager and they were laughing.... After all three of them turned and looked at me and my wife.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a real gym, this is not the place to go. It's overpriced, poorly staffed, poor equipment, and poor spacing for anyone to have a quality out. I have had an LA Fitness membership for a while now but usually go to the location close to my home. I found out that they have a Saturday cycle class at this location so decided to try it out. First when you walk in, you can tell this place is brand new- I love how close my LA fitness but you can definitely tell it's been around a long time- not the case here. They had tons of tread mills, rowers, ellipticals etc. the cycle room is the biggest I have seen in the west kendall area gyms. They had battle ropes and all kinds of hiit type equipment. The gym is incredibly spacious and the machines are at a good distance apart. I like how close it is between my house and dropping my son off at school. They are currently under construction but it is not inconvenient to work out. read more

Never in my life have I been screamed at and scolded by someone in customer service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came with a 3-day trial guest pass along with my cousin, who is a member. They made me wait almost 45 minutes just to redeem my pass, which took them less than a minute to do. I understand the authorized employees were busy, but when I asked if they could just hold my license or give me two minutes of their time, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received a nasty attitude from Adolfo Villanueva at the front desk. He was extremely rude and not understanding at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went in at 9:20 am and didn't get helped till around 10:10 am, I work and I was on a time crunch, like most people in the gym during the morning hours. I am perplexed at how an individual with zero etiquette, who is substantially insolent, impolite, disrespectful, incompetent, and condescending as is Adolfo Villanueva was hired to work with the public - let alone hold a managerial position at this gym. This individual is evidently unsuitable for the position. Elena Moreno, one of the sales reps at this location is equally as incompetent, disrespectful, and discourteous as the aforementioned.
