Had a great workout all this week at LA FITNESS, Wellington gym. My homey DJ Jones a personal trainer there. Gave me a couple of pointers. Also, one of the managers Dillon always say hi and we kick it a little, just talking about life. Make me feel like family. Dylan, I apologize for spelling your name wrong. I had to come back. I was reading some of the reviews. And there are some customers who states in there reviews that the gym is filthy, equipment is broken and rusty. They also states that the staff is unprofessional and doesn't k[[HIGHLIGHT]]now what they are doing. Please tell me where that LA Fitness is in Wellington, Florida? I know the LA Fitness I go to in Wellington is always clean. That maintenance staff is always cleaning. They never stop moving , keep the gym clean and fresh. Also, as in any gym, equipment will break. What 1 or 2 machines might break and be out of service. But, overall the equipment is in good shape. The gym ( LA Fitness) at the Wellington, Florida spot is over 25 years old. So there will be some minor problems. Now, I can speak on the daycare. But, I observed the people coming out with there children. And the children seem to be happy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, I am what you call a "gym rat ". That's an old school term that relates to the 1980's, 1990's when we lived and died by the gym rat. Some of us our jobs required that we be in the gym. A lot of hardcore lifting. And we were required to respect the gym. We made sure we cleaned after ourselves. The weight had to be put back in place, the equipment had to be cleaned after you use it. We were not leaving the gym out of order. If you did you got ridiculed. It was the law of the land. I've been injured and been out the gym about 10 years or more. I started back last year in July 2025. So maybe some of those things happened before July 2025. I wish I had a cleaning crew to clean my house like the LA Fitness cleaning crew do. I know I be in there about 3+ hours. The only problem I see is some of the new age gym rats will walk of and leave 5 or 6 hundred pounds on the bars. The women and elders have to move that stuff. Which is a workout within itself. With all that said, I have a positive experience here. Because, of my injuries some of the members come move weights for me. I mean men and women will say to me sometimes " old school, I got you ". I guess they see me struggling and come to my rescue. Now, I am very independent and I know I tend to push myself to hard thinking I can still bench press 380lbs or more. Old School Gym Rats, which is not a derogatory statement. Steer clear of the Perosnal training director Matt June - completely dishonest and unethical. Will try to coerce you into putting your card on file so they can charge you without your knowledge. The Perosnal trainers get 5% commission on their sales so they will do anything to get your money. Matt's behavior is disgraceful to LA fitness and shows what type of leaders they employ at the Wellington location. This guy should be terminated immediately for the poor customer service he provides and for the simple fact that he is a lier and a fraud. Asked multiple times to speak to the vice president of training to no avail. Once again Matt June trying to conceal his shady behavior. JR, the location's sales manager, was slick, getting me to sign for a price you didn't agree on. Everything is electronic. If you sign up, make sure you see what you are signing. He hires people, and they quit within a week. They did NOT pay my trainer for all of the sessions I paid. The equipment is old and rusted. It is not sanitized. Cardio is upstairs without any ceiling fans to cool. I had a doctor's note to stop my membership as my doc felt PT would be more beneficial. They REFUSED to approve my doctor's note and still billed me. Apparently, the District Manager, Taylor McArthur (Taylor.macarthur@lafitness.com.) is the only one who who can approve it. He doesn't give a crap. He is only concerned with sales number. The bathrooms are disgusting and are rarely cleaned. I showed the operation manager the horrific bathrooms, and she said she would have her staff clean the specific areas. They never did it. In the pool and hot tub, the filth from people is in the water and bubbles. A disgusting slime then ends on the pool or hot tub again the walls. People have things fall off of their skin, like band-aids. Staff does not clean pavement around the pool. The water aerobic teacher barks orders at you. Some people may be physically unable to completely lift their leg or arms up high. She makes you feel inadequate. You will also find dead flies on the tiles where one showers before going into the pool or hot tub. Windows and doors are not cleaned. The juice bar people do not wear gloves nor wash their hands between customers. read more

By far the dirtiest LA Fit in PBC. No wonder half the people left for a cleaner gym. The maintenance kid uses the paper towels from the dispenser to clean the mirror and windows and doesn't replace the dispenser. The men's bathroom soap is not soap it's hand sanitizer half the time. By far the worst gym I have been to. Jean M the manager is rude and tells people it's his gym. The place is always dirty the sauna and equipment keep breaking. It's never clean, the equipment is old it has not been renewed for years. If it wasn't for gym being across the street from my house I would never go there in first place. La fitness has no loyalty to its customers I have been a member now for 12 plus years and they wanted to rip me off for bringing a guest after all these years. This location is the worst! Sauna is always breaking! Equipment is always out of service, always full, can't get to use what equipment is available! The did an update of the gym a few years back! I was excited to see a nicer shower area etc! NOTHING WAS UPDATED!!!!! Literally just painted! I would be willing to pay a lot more for a nicer gym! read more

For a non-signature club, it's pretty good. There's always a racquetball court available, the weights are usually where they are supposed to be, and the machines are rarely out-of-service. Only drawback is that the bathrooms are kind of dingy and grody. If the club spruced up the entire locker room, I think this would be a 5-star. read more

As far as La Fitness gyms so I think this location is pretty decent. In true La fashion, it has its typical issues, but overall I like it here. This location has a lot of equipment- both cardio and weights. Of course, it's busy, like any La Fitness. Finding the right time to come here can be tricky. Like most La Fitness locations people don't know how to take care of a gym: dumbbells not put away, machines never being wiped down- again, the typical things we should be used to by now if you have a membership here. They've got a nice pool and play room for kids. To me the biggest sell is that this place is clean. By far the cleanest location I've been to. Yes, people may not take care of the place, but some of the staff must because it's not beaten up and smelly like most other locations. The smell alone can drive you out some times. read more

I traveled back to Florida and while there thought I would get in a workout in a gym I've been to many times in the past. I was shocked to see the condition it was in. The machines are rusting, broken and dirty. It was almost impossible to find a weight for nothing was where it belonged. It's sad to see an LA fitness in such disrepair. read more

LA has went downhill and they don't want to fix any of the outdated equipment. The hot tub, and sauna are always broken for weeks on end. The benches have duct tape on them, and they have more racquet ball rooms then back, shoulder, and chest equipment. Lantana gym is 110% better. This place is disgusting. I've been working out here for a while and it's been going down hill. The gym is always dirty and the equipment is old and broken. Today I went into the bathroom and the cleaning staff was cleaning the toilets with a hose. I get it. It's a big place, but the floors were all wet with toilet water and whatever else was spraying out of the toilets. This was not at night. It was at 8:30 in the morning. Prior to joining LA Fitness, I was an athlete and I was not a member of any gym; since I was regularly getting hefty workouts at practice. Once I ended my career, I decided to join LA Fitness to stay in shape. I chose LA Fitness due to its "popularity" across the nation and word of mouth around town. Initially, I joined LA Fitness in Austin, TX due to my living situation. The Austin location was fabulous. It met all of the standards a large gym should in all categories. But; shortly after joining the Austin gym, I moved to West Palm Beach, and joined the Wellington location. I have now been a member of the Wellington location for approximately 2 years and I am not sad to say I have canceled my membership with LA Fitness and moved onto Planet Fitness. I will be sure to detail why the decision was clear. Here are the two MAIN reasons why... 1) Cleanliness: LA Fitness Wellington completely dropped the ball on this. Firstly, the locker rooms and extending bathrooms, sauna, showers, etc are absolutely disgusting. It is a not a place where someone would want to clean up or quite frankly, do anything else. It REEKS of a moldy, sewage like smell. There is toilet paper everywhere, gross floors, toilets, and even sinks/countertops. The one time I had to take a shower here, I thought I was going to puke. There was stuff all in the shower and bandaids all over the walls. I can't imagine they're legitimately cleaning this at all. Secondly, the actual gym itself is filthy on a daily basis. I used to think to myself, "oh maybe this is just an off day", but I was sadly very wrong. Similar to the bathroom, there are paper towels everywhere, from the carelessness if it's members along with its staff members. The floors, again, are also dirty and so is much of the equipment. I'm surprised I haven't gotten some weird sickness or something along those lines from being in this environment for so long. 2) Staff Originally (of course) the Austin staff was fabulous. But, I cannot say the same for the Wellington. I never had much interaction with them, until my most recent incident with a "trainer", but most of the workers seem lazy and do not care about their job whatsoever. They are JUST there to pump out membership sales and to con someone into their B.S. personal training. This is my second issue with why I left. One day, I was in the middle of my workout at the preacher curl machine, and low and behold one of the "trainers" walks up to me and tries to have me to a "challenge" which I successfully completed. Once I was done, I attempted to tell him (I wish I could remember his name, but OH, he didn't tell me) I was OK and wanted to continue my workout. Since he was insistent on getting me to do a workout with him the next day, I decided I might play this guys game although I knew fair and well I was perfectly happy with what I was doing and it was most likely a scam...(I have had paid, private training with athletic professionals, I wanted to see what they were really all about). I came in the next day to complete my workout and once I was finished I sat down with the trainer to discuss my current eating schedule as well as my fitness background. He proceeded to bash not only the foods I eat, but my "health state" as well, for my age. But, fun fact, he didn't pay attention to anything I said, which is something I found interesting. By no means am I a fitness GOD, but I am in great shape and I try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We completed the "workout" and I was sweating...which is completely normal for me. I sweat all the time and especially during workouts. He informed me that because I was sweating so much, I was completely out of shape and had done nothing right up to this point. I felt humiliated, belittled, and no encouragement whatsoever. Even after this, I came the next day for what would be my last workout. During my workout, I saw the same trainer doing the EXACT same workout with someone who was built totally different than I was.(Why would we be doing the same workout if everyone needs something a little different?Per the man himself.) Right after that, I went home, signed my cancellation form, and never looked back! My membership at Planet Fitness is cheaper than LA Fitness and I have use of the massage chairs, massage beds, tanning beds, total body enhancement, and even discounts with their products- including drinks from the fridge. All in all, I can say that before joining LA Fitness, you should definitely take the time to tour several gyms and find the best place for you. There are many options out there to choose from that suit your health and fitness needs. But, hopefully this review will allow you to have a little more clarity to what your decision may be. read more

Very rarely do I ever give a company or corporation a one or two star rating as I always like to give each organization the benefit of the doubt. So I have been a member of LA Fitness gyms for over 10 years and this location has consistently disappointed me. Let's start with a few good things. This location is big and they do offer quite a bit of space for a number of gym equipment. The class instructors tend to be pretty good. They also offer child care which is good for those on the go. The staff, is OK....(more to come). That's about all I can say as far as positive goes. Let's get to the "why." This location has never had all machines and equipment at 100%. Now I understand that there are a large number of customers and it can be hard to maintain, however, when I went today, there were 3 cardio machines, 6 functional fitness machines, and even a few free weights, that were out of commission. When things break, you can count on them to be broken for quite some time, even up to two months. The staff seems as though they are working on fumes, they don't go out of their way, unless you are a new customer or are offering more $$. Most of the customers will sit and "chat" whilst taking up a machine or price of equipment. I would Not recommend this location unless you have no choice. Perhaps try the LA Fitness on Military. I am willing to update this review when management decides to make some changes. Till then, this location will forever remain two stars and below. read more

Great staff. Haven't been here in about 10 years and looks like the same machinery since 10 years ago. The paint is peeling off every single machine i think they make way too much money to have such old machinery. Yesterday one of the three stair master machines were broken. Two machines are taped off due to social distancing and they could swap the broken one for one of the ones that work that are taped off. Two of the treadmills were broken too and not all are available due to covid and it's just annoying how run down and old it's feeling. Also i felt it was weird that there are no yoga Matt's.. there is a small closet with about 10 Matt's and 3 people in that small closet is already pushing it... a little weird. GREAT STAFF THOUGH. Hi guys!! I have been a member of L.A Fitness couple of years now, but this location is really in bad shape. The ladies bathroom stink like sewer(strong bad odor) which it is unhealthy like for 4 months even though a lot of members call customer service couple of times. It never gets really fixed, they just put something for the bad odor now. Bathroom is always clean because Sonia the cleaning lady (works evening) is the best in what she does. Poor woman she must have to clean really hard then.lol. Also, the machines are getting really old, some of them have the vinyl cover cracked. In conclusion, this gym is getting really in bad shape because the customer service sucks and nobody since to care about it. It is really bad because I used to love it there before!!! read more

I've Been a faithful member for 10 years. Today I made my decision to cancel my membership. I have never EVER seen this gym so dirty and disgusting. I couldn't take it anymore! The machines have become broken and haven't been repaired in months. The mirrors in the fitness room are VERY dirty. The floors are covered in black dirt and sand. I actually dodged a piece on old gum on the floor in the entryway yesterday. I've complained to management To No avail. It's a shame..I liked this gym so much I travel 25 mins 2-3 times a week for years. Bypassing 2 LA's that are closer. I need to mention there's a noticeable problem when the trainers appear to need trainers. This gym is the biggest piece of crap, DO NOT JOIN. They will lie and say anything to get you to join which they did to my sister in law and me​. We joined just a couple of weeks ago while we were temporarily​ in Wellington​. We were told we could move the membership to any location in Florida, that was our motivation to join. Well,​ today we moved to Palm Beach Gardens and immediately went to transfer to the Palm Beach Gardens LA Fitness and much to our surprise we were told that we CAN NOT TRANSFER. We were told LA Fitness did away with that over a ​year ago and that we would have to cancel and re-sign back up and spend another 150 bucks. We were shocked that the LA Fitness salesman​ lied to us just to get a deal through. ​When we called up to talk to the Wellington LA Fitness, we were met with a rude manager who gave us some crap and wouldn't refund. On top of all of that, this gym is so gross. Weights all over the place​, used papers towels thrown all over the floor like it's a ​dump, the equipment is old and broken. Great gym with a lot of equipment, racquetball courts, and basketball court. There is also a pool. Peak hours are extremely crowded. I try to go either early in the morning or midday. People are terrible at re racking weights when they are done. The changing room needs help. It reeks like body odor and foot fungus. read more

I've been a member of LA fitness for two years off and on. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are two levels, the first level Includes locker rooms, pool, racquetball courts, weights, and specific weight machines. There is also a large classroom with stationary bikes. This room is used for classes such as Zumba, yoga, kickboxing, abs body plus, boot camp conditioning. I've attended most of the classes and they're a great way to work out! Generally, the teachers make the classes interactive and fun! I love doing yoga with Richard and Zumba with Zenelia. The second level Included the ellipticals and treadmills which are clean and easy to use! Overall, the facility is kept very clean. My son goes to KidsKlub and the hours are very manageable to work with. I can attend all but a few classes. read more
