I literally love elote in a cup and this was one of the best I ever had! I dont speak a lick of Spanish but the lady who helped me was very patient with me and got my order 100% correct despite the language barrier. I also got the coconut agua fresca which was super rich and delicious as well. Definitely would eat here again!
This place is super authentic and has amazing seating areas! The ambiance is great for a fun hang out with friends and family. I love the nostalgic atmosphere with their El Chavo decor and Spanish Pop from the early 2000s! Arizbeth was friendly and accommodating. Come here for high quality food!!!! I will be coming back for sure
My girlfriend was craving some Mangonada and even though there is probably thirty places on Charleston to get it, La Flor de Michoacan was the place of the day for us! This location is pretty darn massive and not only features all the ice cream and Mexican sweet treats you could possibly be craving, but it also features a cash only area where you can grab some actual food! I'm a simple man and since I'm not a huge fan of Mangonada (don't judge me, I did try it!) I was glued to the ice cream area where they offer a ton of different flavours to choose from. After figuring out I wanted to go with chocolate chip and mint chocolate chip (again, stop judging me) I settled on a cone with chocolate and sprinkles because who wouldn't pair the ice cream with a cool cone? The ice cream itself wasn't anything special, basically just some basic but good ice cream. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at La Flor de Michoacan and will absolutely be coming back in the future. I work pretty close to this place so I look forward to coming back and grabbing some snacks and especially the pre-made pops close to the entrance. With solid ice cream and solid pricing, this place is pretty dang solid if you ask me.

My friends and I came in after we had lunch. We wanted ice cream and after looking through Yelp for what was around the area we stumbled upon this place. It's located in a relatively small plaza, but we had no trouble finding parking. I was surprised at how big this ice cream shop was because on the outside it looked small. They are currently going through renovations, so they'll be expanding it even bigger! [Service] Upon entering we saw all the staff wearing masks and gloves. All covid protocols were being followed. I was surprised to see that they had so much more to offer than just ice cream. They had crepes, elote, tortas, chamango, and so much more! The staff were friendly and helpful. They were patient with us while we sampled the flavors of ice cream we wanted. There was an extensive selection of ice cream that it was hard to choose what flavor to get. I ultimately went with the pistachio flavor. [Desert] I don't really have much to say here because it's ice cream and you can never go wrong with ice cream lol. The flavor I had was delicious. My friends all got different flavors and they were all great as well! If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stop by this place. I want to try some of the pastries and all the other goodies they have to offer. Amazing selection of ice cream, friendly staff, and clean tables. 4 stars!
Came to the Charleston location ... got there at 8:55 and doors were already locked. If you're going to close early how about put it on Google "closing at 8:55pm" so people don't try to make it in time for something QUICK ... smh
Came here twice in one week that's how obsessed I am. I have a pregnant best friend and she had some pregnancy crazies for Chamango. This place is actually pretty close to my home and I've had it bookmarked forever but never been. It's in a rough side of town too if you aren't looking for it you will miss it. When we came it was pretty dead, I was nervous it was going to be busy due to the reviews. Once we came in we got helped right away and we were able to taste/sample anything we wanted. They had so many different ice cream flavors, juices, ice cream bars, and even food. We both got Chamango and this comes with 1 scoop of ice cream. We got the Piña which was perfect! It was a big size cup with loads of mangos. I love how we were able to sample as much as we want. Their juices were awesome they had some random flavors that you would think were very odd but were incredibly refreshing. I must come back and try the food
On our latest visit, we dropped by after the Grassroots event with President Obama and Latin Rock group MANA. Aside from my usual ice cream fix, I proceeded to get my usual Alfalfa agua fresca, and one of the young ladies behind the counter suggested her favorite by mixing half alfalfa with half pineapple agua fresca, and man, was I HOOKED! Now I always get a large one every time we drop in. At $2.50, its a very refreshing deal! For those of you who love sweet and savory combinations with a nice heat, The Paleton is not to be missed. Wifey tried it out of curiosity, and that too got us hooked as well! Two foot long paletas(popsicles) your choice of mango or pineapple, on a bed of sliced cucumber and diced mangoes drizzled with Valentina and Chamoy sauces, and Chilito seasoning...SO GOOD! This has also become one of our favorite items. Take it from the Duke...I am Nelson Q., and I approve of this message...;) ALOHA!!!

I got two scoops in a cup, piñon (pine nut which is one of my favorites there) and a scoop of elote, ice cream made from corn. She asked me what toppings I wanted, and I got a few spoons of coconut. Then it was outside time to sit on one of their benches and enjoy. For a warm evening I was surprised I was the only customer for awhile. This place is good. Why can;t you be on the other side of town. At least it's not too far from the freeway!
A longtime member of the "if ever in the area" list it was after late Lunch that a stop was made at La Flor de Michoacan Paleteria & Ice Cream on East Charleston, a sneaky suspicion that the area is probably not so safe at night set aside prior to 5pm though the staff was hit and miss in terms of making guests feel welcome. In reality one of several similarly named locations in Las Vegas, whether the stores are all related uncertain as offerings differ from one to the next, it is immediately on entry that diners will notice a functional Bakery stocked with a limited number of Pastries and Cakes, one man wearing a hairnet perfectly pleasant in procuring three items from the case despite limited English. Moving next to the attached Ice Cream shop, a youthful server stepping up to offer samples while an older heavy-set female barked in Spanish at two men waiting by the Restroom before questioning food photography as "weird" for the first time since perhaps 2012, it was from large spoonfuls of Ice Cream and Sorbet that the decision was made for two scoops, a total bill of $10.29 no doubt cheap considering both weight and variety. Assuming Ice Cream to be outsourced, the young man stating "we just got that one this morning" in reference to Yellow Plum Sorbet that tasted precisely like a fresh Nectarine, it was atop a scoop of smooth Guava-Cheese that the ball was packed and topped lightly by Nuts and dried Fruit, bites of Corn and Mango also compelling while Chamoy, Pistachio and a flavor that tasted like Strawberries and Rice Krispies Treats which no one could translate all came across overly sweet. Moving next to Baked Goods, the Aguas Frescas, Popsicles and packaged Fruits all passed over but popular amongst a largely Hispanic clientele, it was after just two bites that overly thick Rice Pudding was discarded, the Choco-Flan faring far better in its Cake Layer than the rubbery Custard while Tres Leches fortunately featured a good Sponge and plenty of Milk that was not overwhelmingly sweet save for the area directly beneath a thickly glazed Strawberry. TWO AND A HALF STARS: Well priced and offering good variety it seems La Flor de Michoacan would be better served by a closer focus on quality and guest experience, though there are definitely some good items and workers amidst the rest.
I love this place. It reminds me of LA. They make their own ice creams, they have fruit cups, and different desserts. The staff is nice, their ice cream is AMAZING, and it's really affordable. The nice girls give a pretty big serving for the single scoop. The shop is pretty small and when I went the AC wasn't working too well and I was breaking a sweat. I recommend the mango ice cream or sorbet. It was so good. SOO SOO good. You can see the mango fibers in the ice cream you can tell they use REAL mangos that are perfectly ripe. I would definitely recommend this place to others. It's an awesome place to cool down in the Vegas heat. I think they had a taco truck outside last time I went also. Pretty cool.
Amazing. Can't get enough. I got passionfruit ice cream once and a frutas+chiles popsicle during my second visit. Both were great. My coworkers got mango shaved ice, which they loved.
A great place to come on theses hot las vegas days !Lots of parking space and they have a lot of sitting areas inside so you can enjoy your snacks there if you'd like. Definitely a family friendly environment! They have ice cream, smoothies, crepes, fresh fruit waters and much more. Staff was all very friendly and helpful with suggestions or questions we had. Prices are reasonable for the portions you get it's definitely worth it. Will be back to try some new flavors !

This is a cute place with lots of options for dessert, food, and snacks. I was a big overwhelmed with all the choices but was able to pick something yummy. I got a dipped paleta with cocoa pebble pieces. Def will come back to try other desserts and some elote. read more

Thanks to the awesome review from my yelp buddy Nelson Q, I decided to bookmark this place and make it a point to stop here the next time the boyfriend and I are in town. After figuring out where it was from where we were staying we put it off until the next day we would be in the general area. This place is not close to the Strip its a little past DTLV, but in my opinion, it's totally worth the drive to get some cheap yummy Mexican treats. The place is located in a small kind of run down business/shopping center. Do not let it scare you, it is safe as for what you find inside will totally be worth it! Walking in the first thing, I see is a couple of bags left of my precious snack that I have been longing for, Duroa de Harina with lime and chili salt (or in English wheat pinwheels ). They also have helado (Mexican ice cream) that is made fresh in house; some of the flavors that I saw there were: Fresa-Strawberry Guayaba-Guava Mango Pina-Pineapple Lime Bubble Gum and a bunch more that I could not see because not only is this place super small, but after 5:00pm on a weekday, this is the place to be after a hard day at work or school! If you do order ice cream they offer a free topping as well, which is great! They have a nice selection of agua frescas (Horchata, Tamarind and Melon). If you are not wanting desert right away then they also have tacos and burritos too, which the boyfriend and I decided that we will have to try the next time we are in town! They also have Smoothies, Tostilocos (one of my favorites) an assortment of Mexican candy as well! Prices are amazing for a single scoop of ice cream and my bag of Duroa de Harina it came to under $8.00. Note: If you are not certain on how a flavor will taste you can try a sample of it. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful. The parking lot can be a bit of a zoo; we parked toward the end where there were a couple of extra spaces. read more
After our Yelp taco crawl we head to our fourth and final destination for dessert. I have been trying to come here ever since I found out about it when I went on a rampage to find quality homemade ice creams. Firstly, the staff here is very nice and don't be afraid to ask to try something! The names are mostly in Spanish so don't feel shy about wanting descriptions as well. I know that's a fear for many when it comes to out of the way, authentic places that you'll be a deer caught in headlights with no help navigating the exotic. Fear not here! The BF and I squared in on the aguas frescas area first since there were less people over there first. He grabbed a rompope, which is this creamy pink drink that taste like watermelon and apples. I grabbed a non creamy drink, half alfalfa and half pina. I'm big on juicing and just that touch of a green vegetal taste with pineapple was a big hit for me. I feel like I've had this before somewhere, but cannot place when in my life have I had alfalfa drink. I guess what's important is I know where to get it now. I was not about to leave without ice cream so I grabbed three scoops. The ice cream here is lovely, light yet very creamy and served almost soft serve consistency. is caramelized milk which is a bit more subtle than usual caramel ice cream, just the right amount of that burnt brown sugary taste. Chongos means "curds" and this was a creamy ice cream with bits of cheese in it. Filipinos also make cheese ice cream so I loved it since it reminds me of my childhood. Rosas is rose ice cream which was phenomenal. The BF wanted to take all mine and wished he just ordered scoops of that. I'm a huge fan of Persian style ice cream with their flower flavors and this bombs on all of them. I love the addition of slices of actual flower in it. LOVE. The BF got a cherry ice cream as he has been all about cherries everything lately. I wish I could have justified a paleta as well or I saw some people getting these strawberry parfaits that look amazing! Alas, I only had one stomach that was already full of tacos. I wanted to explore and try more things but since we packed the store I just kinda picked things quickly to get the line moving. Will be back absolutely to try more things! "Eek! Methinks not!" may be the exact exclamation of the next health inspector to walk in the front door. The first sight I've seen on my many trips here is cardboard boxes of liquid ice cream base stacked directly on the floor. Dairy and egg based liquids in the temperature danger zone is far from a proper thawing/food storage procedure. Today, pools of ice cream base had leaked on to the floor, so who knows how many hours those boxes sit out at room temperature. They started selling cakes, and the chocoflan tasted good. I saw about 6 different varieties, but they weren't labeled. My husband works in a fabrication shop very close to here, and he really enjoys the unique alfalfa agua fresca. I just can't rationalize coming back to this dirty diner unless he really wants his drink. Good news, Art of Flavors is open and selling fantastic gelato and sorbet a short 5 minute drive away from La Flor de Michoacan! It's worth it for the quality and sanitary conditions. read more

My go-to Mexican ice cream shop on this side of town. I live pretty far from this location but whenever I'm on this side of town i try to stop by before heading back to the north-west area. I have been in recently & saw that they did some renovations to their store & expanded. It looks great! One side is the bakery then to the left is a newly remolded ice cream & agua frescas shop. Id have to say the hardest thing in this small complex is the parking but my last visit, I had waay too much mayo in my elote. Hope they can stay consistent! read more

It doesn't get any better than La Flor This has got to be my favorite Ice Cream place in town. I dare you to find another place as tasty and as diverse. I remember my first time was a one hot day in in the summer two years ago, and ever since then this place castes a spell on me. The flavors are what keep me attracted, you can always choose a different flavor and you cannot find something that is not good enough. My favorite ice cream flavors are Guayaba and Pistachio.And you know what? No place in town meets me standards for the deliciousness in both flavored. CRAZY? right. If you are tired the usual, and want to try something that will keep you juiced try la flor, trust me; you cannot be wrong. read more
