This is a very good Mexican ice cream shop. We've been here a few times and like it quite a bit. They have a large selections of ice creams, pop-sickles and aqua frescas (drinks), all of which they make. They will let you sample the drinks and ice creams, and the staff is always patient and friendly. They have an incredible vanilla ice cream (I know that's not an exciting flavor, but I don't care, theirs is awesome)! All their flavors are good and you'll find some original flavors (like jalapeño & watermelon). They also have great horchata, which is what my wife usually gets. We usually get some pop-sickles to go and bring them home for another day. There Mexican pastry pop-sickle is fantastic and I can't recommend it enough. They have a variety of ice cream dishes and fruit dishes to, many of which are topped with chili syrup or chili lime powder. My wife loves it, but the mix of chili and fruit or ice cream just isn't for me. One last thing, they do have a few non desert items, like elote (Mexican street corn), but we never have tried them as we usually have already ate at the restaurant next door. We've have a family tradition for over 6 years to stop here every time we come home from the lake for ice cream. Every time we come in it's a minimum of $50 per order, many times over $75. We love the ice cream here and hoping to keep going back. But today the the service was shocking. My son ordered 2 scoops in a waffle cone but was served in a waffle bowl. We let the man know who served it that he ordered it in a cone not a bowl. The man snapped back rudely at my son saying "you ordered the bowl, I asked you 2 times ". I couldn't believe rude he was and called him out on how he spoke to my son. He continued arguing with my wife and I. We asked who the owner was, and he replied smugly, "I am". If this is how the owner treats his customers who are spending $80.04 on ice cream, he will not be in business for long. He either needs to humble himself or remove himself from direct contact with customers. I am shocked how rude an owner was. If the service is like this next time too, it will find another ice cream spot. I will say the young woman that worked with him today was super friendly and helpful. The owner should let her interact with the customers and he can work in the back doing book keeping or something. 5 star ice cream, 5 star service from the young woman, -5 stars the owner. Back again, this time to try their savory items (and more ice cream of course!) We were intrigued by the Tlayuda, a Oaxacan speciallity that looked like a pizza-Baked tortilla, black beans, cheese, onion lettuce, tomato, and avocado topped with a piece of carne asada, and chorizo. We also wanted to try one of their Hot Dogs. They had a Chicago style one, one called the Titanic, and another one called Chupale Pichon which means(according to the urban dictionary) "Suck my d**k"...Now why would you name it that when kids come in here too? Kinda awkward if a kid asks his parent for that!?!? Oh well... Of the two items we got, the Titanic Hot Dog was the better one with bacon, onions, avocado, and sour cream. It's a Hispanic Sweet Shoppe. Honestly, if this place wasn't so far out, I'd visit more often. I always get the Chamango and it's always on point. Huge mango chunks, ice cream, chile and a hungry fiend like myself, make a good mix. This place has a lot of seating space so you can enjoy your treats and jam to Hispanic music at the same time. Only problem is the last 4 times I've gotten fresas con crema they have given me nasty old strawberries that are turning brown/yellow and taste like chemicals so I end up only eating the crema and ice cream. Last night we went to get some corn from this place and when I got home I saw how brown and old the corn was, I tried calling the number on Their website but it was not in order. I did find a number that matched the location but for some reason gave me a different store name (weird). My wife and I both called and they had asked if we could take the food back but I had other things going on so said if we can just go back tomorrow (today) and get our money back. The man said yes and took my name and number down because I had paid cash and they did not give me a receipt. Today my wife went to get our refund the they denied her the refund and said they will give her new corn instead, we did not want corn anymore let alone from that place, and why would they tell us one day yes then the next day no? The guy then told my wife if you want I can give you store credit but you can only get it when I am here. My kids could have gotten sick if they ate that and this guy expects us to only go when he's is there? We are not on your time, we are paying customers and the service that we got was horrible. For them to see their corn like that and still have the nerve to give it to paying customers is not okay. Woah man, fresh ice cream! Crazy flavors! Normal ones too! This place is the real deal. All their ice cream flavors are rich, complex, and utterly realistic. Most of the ice cream names are in Spanish. They let you try before you buy. My favorite flavors are Chongos (idk what kind of tasty magic they put in it, but I'm under its spell), and the orange one. Don't remember what it's called but it's the orange one that doesn't taste fruity. I'm sure if you ask for that description they'll know what you mean. They also have rose flavored ice cream, with little bits of petals in it. Tastes just like they smell...rosey. Definitely an experience and a delicious one at that. Chamango heaven! I had my first chamango in San Diego, where all Mexican food is truly authentic since it's steps away from the border. I never thought I would find anything like it here in Vegas, but La Flor de Michoacan proved me wrong. I tried it once before at the Boulevard Mall location, but I didn't like it there. Too much chamoy and the flavors were off. But I gave it another shot and tried this location, and I was surely impressed. It was muy deliciouso! They ask you what flavor ice cream you want, I opted for mango to be on the safe side. Then they top that with plenty of mango slices and drizzle chamoy and finish it off with some tajin. I'll be back next time to try their ice cream. They have flavors I've never seen in my life. Soursop?! I asked for a sample of it, I wasn't sure what it was, but it was pretty darn good. I saw pickled cabbage and salsa on a table and thought to myself, "they serve pupusas?!" Then I looked at the menu and saw that they not only serve pupusas, but more Salvadorian food. I'm a pretty worldly eater, but there were colorful treats I had never heard of - and I can't wait to go back and try them all. My friends had the Tostilocos and loved it, but I'm not a fan of pickled pork. I tried another friend's Cemita sandwich filled with carne asada, avocado, and melty cheese in a toasted sesame bun. Wowza. This is a great Mexican neveria/restaurant that is so far from everything. Which is kind of ok with me, otherwise I would be in here every day. My friend and I made the trek out here the other day and we were BLOWN AWAY with all the options of food and treats they offer. Besides like 20 rotating flavors of ice cream, they also offer about 8 different aguas frescas, paletas, and a ton of salty, spicy snacks. It literally took us half an hour to decide. I went for a scoop of mango and another of chamoy (chamoy is a sauce made from pickeld fruits, with salt and chile. Mexicans use it with everything, mango, cucumber, shaved ice, etc.) Do yourself a favor and try the chamoy, it is unbelievable! Usually when confronted with so many choices, my brain shuts down and I always end up getting the same thing. I was excited to find a Mexican shop that sold chamangos, Mexican chips, and candy being from San Diego and close to the border I miss those kinds of things out here. Their chamangos weren't what I was expecting. I'm used to it being blended with pieces of fresh mango with chaca chaca candy pieces and chamoy. HIS: The chamango and elote en vaso are what we come here for. (Thats Mango with chamoy sorbet & corn in a cup for us white people haha). If you want something fresh and more "healthy" I'd get the chamango which is freshly cut chunks of sweet mango with a chamoy sorbet and drizzled with more chamoy. For those of you who may not know what chamoy is, it's a sweet and spicy red sauce that elevates the taste of fruit to a whole other level. Your life will transform when you try this, it's not over powering spicy. It's just the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The corn in the cup is corn that has been cooked with some peppers and water then is put inside a cup and topped with mayo, cheese, and spicy powdered chile. All of the topping are optional but the way they make it is amazing. You can also ask them to put a little of each if its something you're not too sure you'd like. But I promise you won't me disappointed. I have not tried their food options, honestly, because it is a dessert place I don't know how comfortable I feel about having their food. Ice cream is good... Don't order food here... Way over priced for what you get and some of my food was "raw" or at least to me and my party that tasted it. I told them about it and they said it's not raw. OK. So I left the food on the plate and the cook seemed a little pissed because of my complaint.
