Urban Matcha is always one of my go-to spots and honestly has some of the best matcha in Vegas. My favorite is the Matcha float--I order it pretty much every time because it's just that good. The recent visit was a little chaotic because my two-year-old nephew accidentally spilled my entire drink all over me . It made a huge mess on the table and floor, and I felt so bad. One of the girls came over right away to help clean everything up and was so nice about it. They even offered to make me a new drink, which I definitely wasn't expecting and really appreciated. There are tables and a bar with bar stools to hang out. The only downfall for me is that they do not offer anything with a dairy substitute option. Nowadays with all the options that can be used for non dairy foams, creams, etc this place does not offer that for people that cannot have dairy. My group of 5 were the first to start the morning line here around 11:30am on a Wednesday before their opening time of 12pm. Before that time and throughout our visit here, the line got longer and longer, and eventually all the seating inside was filled up. It was already a bright day yet the inside is lit about as bright to match the daylight hues. That and also the heat outside made me and my friends come here to grab another matcha as we already had a nearby place just 10 minutes ago! For this part of our matcha run, I got their large matcha latte float with a matcha and strawberry ice cream mix, while my foodie friend got the same float as well only with ube soft serve and a medium-size instead. Matcha is strong and ceremonial with grassy tones that were slightly dulled by the sweetness of the drink; the matcha ice cream had that same ceremonial hit as the latte but the strawberry ice cream didn't pair with those earthy tones very well since it was a different kind of sweet. I also found my friend's ube ice cream the better addition to the matcha latte than my matcha-strawberry mix. I still enjoyed what I had, and the float by itself still hit well. Premium matcha, great service, and very flavorful products. I love matcha and as it gets warmer in Las Vegas I'm always looking for some delicious soft serve to get my hands on. Here they offer a lot of different drinks, soft serve, parfaits, shaved ice, and a few other treats and sandwiches. I haven't had their food yet but I'm going to try their egg salad very soon. Ordered the matcha latte with double matcha, hoping for something bold, instead got an overwhelmingly vegetal, almost swampy flavor without any of the nuance that makes good matcha worth it. The matcha itself isn't shining through so much as it's just... grassy and flat. The cream top is fine, but it can't save what's underneath. Small portion for the price makes it harder to justify. I love this place, and I'm sharing this review in hopes that management can address an issue I've been experiencing with the matcha frappe. Lately, the drinks have been inconsistent--either too icy or lacking the rich matcha flavor I normally expect. Whenever Sean or Kyle make it, it's always excellent, so I know the drink can be made really well. I'm not sure if newer employees may not have been fully trained on the recipe, but unfortunately the matcha frappe hasn't been tasting right on most of my recent visits. My friend and I are regular customers and come to this location almost every day, so it's disappointing when we spend money on a drink that doesn't meet the usual quality. I'm leaving this review because I genuinely enjoy this business and hope the team can work on making the matcha frappe more consistent. I've been coming to Urban Matcha for years (since it was originally Matcha Bar back in the day.) It is my go-to Matcha place, absolutely perfect Matcha flavor every time! Anytime I have friends or family visiting from out of town that are huge Matcha lovers I bring them here! They have plenty of seating, pretty nice size tables ranging from smaller squares, to larger circle tables to pretty good size community tables. Very clean, minimalistic, open space. It's a great place to hangout, it can get pretty busy sometimes. And that parking lot in general... sometimes I've gone there and had a hard time finding parking (I've actually left out of frustration before) it really just depends when you go. You do have a lot of really well-known local places in that shopping center that get incredibly busy especially late afternoon/early evenings on weekends from my experience. Haven't really had a problem when I've gone on a weekday. They have a really awesome menu! If you're not a Matcha person... but you're going with a matcha person.. they do have some coffee drinks as well! They have egg salad sandwiches and tuna sandwiches, and a few different desserts including layered crêpe cakes. My favorite thing to get there is their Matcha float latte, it's kind of the best of both worlds where you get your Matcha latte and a Matcha soft serve all in one! There are so many different combinations that you can get there of different types of green teas, either in tea form, latte, floats, parfait, and so many different flavors and toppings like they have their banana Matcha latte, which is really good!!
