Urban Matcha is always one of my go-to spots and honestly has some of the best matcha in Vegas. My favorite is the Matcha float--I order it pretty much every time because it's just that good. The recent visit was a little chaotic because my two-year-old nephew accidentally spilled my entire drink all over me . It made a huge mess on the table and floor, and I felt so bad. One of the girls came over right away to help clean everything up and was so nice about it. They even offered to make me a new drink, which I definitely wasn't expecting and really appreciated. Thank you again to her!! Stuff like that is why I keep coming back. The matcha is always amazing, and everyone who works here is so friendly. Stopped by here last week since it's about 15 minutes away from Vegas. They have huge parking with lots of restaurants nearby. Place is nice and easy to find. Fast service too, however I cannot justify their matcha quality, flavored with shaved ice or the soft serve itself. I've also tried their ube but barely taste the ube flavor. Also, they only have 2 sandwich options: eggs and tuna which is a no. It wasn't a bad stop because it was triple digits during our visit but I probably will not comeback. read more

The staff was adequately polite, the environment looks aesthetically pleasing despite being overly crowded with minimal seating options. The matcha parfait was good with a nice creamy texture and flavoring. However, I have one complaint. When coming with two others where we are lactose sensitive and with one having an allergy to oats, they wanted to try the matcha latte's and we asked if they can make with almond milk . The female worker said they don't have almond milk and only do oat or whole milk which was odd, and I asked again to confirm and was told no. They ended up having to do whole milk despite being lactose intolerant and was bothered. I look through here from comments by the owner saying that they CAN substitute with almond milk, which is confusing and a little annoying that we were told they don't substitute almond milk and was never told a reason why. That's one complaint for those who might be allergic to oat milk or are lactose sensitive: There is barely any option to accommodate and for that I give three stars. I was in town and had to stop at Urban Matcha. Right off the bat, I thought that the interior was lovely, there was plenty of seating and it was very spacious as well. There was a good selection for soft serve items and drinks. I decided to go with a matcha latte and the soft serve. I did ask for an adjustment for my latte which the staff was nice about. I wished that the matcha flavor was more present in my drink because it was on the more subtle end. For the soft serve, I do wish it was creamier because it had more of an icee or slushie-like texture. I still enjoyed the soft serve nonetheless. This place was crowded! Apparently BTS had stopped by here. The line went at an okay pace and we were lucky to grab seating. We luckily got a spot at the long bar table but with the large windows it does get warm. I got the matcha strawberry soft serve and egg sando. My friend got a drink but they waited until the queue was through to serve everything at the same time. You pick up at the front which was hard to hear. Egg sando honestly tasted kinda old. We waited about 25 minutes in line to order and 10 minutes for our drinks during the afternoon and killed time by walking down to Molly Tea which had a similar line. We ordered the Matcha Yuzu Sparkler and Matcha Kuromitsu Kinako Cream. The cream is whipped and along with the brown sugar jelly makes it a much heavier and decadent drink than I was expecting, but was still good. Drinks are a whole variety from floats, lattes, frappes, shaved ice even Matcha refreshers and more! Ambiance is simple, nicely decorated , music background. There are tables and a bar with bar stools to hang out. The only downfall for me is that they do not offer anything with a dairy substitute option. Nowadays with all the options that can be used for non dairy foams, creams, etc this place does not offer that for people that cannot have dairy. My group of 5 were the first to start the morning line here around 11:30am on a Wednesday before their opening time of 12pm. Before that time and throughout our visit here, the line got longer and longer, and eventually all the seating inside was filled up. It was already a bright day yet the inside is lit about as bright to match the daylight hues. That and also the heat outside made me and my friends come here to grab another matcha as we already had a nearby place just 10 minutes ago! For this part of our matcha run, I got their large matcha latte float with a matcha and strawberry ice cream mix, while my foodie friend got the same float as well only with ube soft serve and a medium-size instead. Matcha is strong and ceremonial with grassy tones that were slightly dulled by the sweetness of the drink; the matcha ice cream had that same ceremonial hit as the latte but the strawberry ice cream didn't pair with those earthy tones very well since it was a different kind of sweet. I also found my friend's ube ice cream the better addition to the matcha latte than my matcha-strawberry mix. I still enjoyed what I had, and the float by itself still hit well. Both drinks we got were on the sweeter side, and were a lot creamier than we liked. I think I prefer my matcha lattes a bit more on the refreshing side--crisp and bolder in flavor and more well balanced, not just full on creamy and sweet. The ones we got here felt more like a dessert, which is perfectly fine if you prefer your matcha lattes that way. The place was clean and had some tables and chairs for you to chill at while drinking or eating your chosen matcha treat, and service was pretty quick. I love this place, and I'm sharing this review in hopes that management can address an issue I've been experiencing with the matcha frappe. Lately, the drinks have been inconsistent--either too icy or lacking the rich matcha flavor I normally expect. Whenever Sean or Kyle make it, it's always excellent, so I know the drink can be made really well. I'm not sure if newer employees may not have been fully trained on the recipe, but unfortunately the matcha frappe hasn't been tasting right on most of my recent visits. My friend and I are regular customers and come to this location almost every day, so it's disappointing when we spend money on a drink that doesn't meet the usual quality. I've been coming to Urban Matcha for years (since it was originally Matcha Bar back in the day.) It is my go-to Matcha place, absolutely perfect Matcha flavor every time! Anytime I have friends or family visiting from out of town that are huge Matcha lovers I bring them here! They have plenty of seating, pretty nice size tables ranging from smaller squares, to larger circle tables to pretty good size community tables. Very clean, minimalistic, open space. It's a great place to hangout, it can get pretty busy sometimes. And that parking lot in general... sometimes I've gone there and had a hard time finding parking (I've actually left out of frustration before) it really just depends when you go. You do have a lot of really well-known local places in that shopping center that get incredibly busy especially late afternoon/early evenings on weekends from my experience. Haven't really had a problem when I've gone on a weekday. They have a really awesome menu! If you're not a Matcha person... but you're going with a matcha person.. they do have some coffee drinks as well! They have egg salad sandwiches and tuna sandwiches, and a few different desserts including layered crêpe cakes. My favorite thing to get there is their Matcha float latte, it's kind of the best of both worlds where you get your Matcha latte and a Matcha soft serve all in one! There are so many different combinations that you can get there of different types of green teas, either in tea form, latte, floats, parfait, and so many different flavors and toppings like they have their banana Matcha latte, which is really good!! They have quite a few flavors of soft serve (and don't worry for the ones that don't like Matcha, but are going with a Matcha person they have ones like black sesame, Ube, vanilla, etc. I miss their lychee flavor... I believe it was a limited time flavor, and I absolutely loved that soft serve... please bring it back!) and they're absolutely perfect, the texture and consistency of their soft serve is great. Tonight I got their Matcha and vanilla swirl soft serve on a waffle cone with chocolate syrup. (I had a birthday reward, They have a really awesome rewards program!) and it brought me joy in a way that I can't even put words and it was the perfect after dinner dessert and a great way to end the evening! The drinks were great, and the matcha soft serve itself tasted good, but the portion was disappointing. For nearly $20 for two soft serves, you would expect them to actually fill the cups. Instead, they put a narrow swirl straight down the middle, leaving a lot of empty space around it. It just felt very skimpy for the price. I also bought pints of the matcha and black sesame. Unfortunately, the matcha pint was horrible--it tasted freezer-burned, had almost no flavor, and looked like it may have been frozen, partially thawed, and refrozen. I would come back for the drinks, but the soft serve portions need to be much more generous for the price. And I definitely would not recommend buying the pints. read more
