They checked in on how I was feeling throughout the entire thing, explained every step, and made me feel at home. Warning for anyone considering Eclipse Tattoos for piercings…read more I took my son to Eclipse Tattoos to have his ears pierced, and unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. The piercer did not mark his ears before piercing -- she simply eyeballed the placement without letting him check or approve where they would go. As a result, the piercings were noticeably crooked, and one even hit cartilage. Both ears bled excessively, soaking through his shirt and pants, which I've never experienced with a simple lobe piercing before. More concerning, after more than a week, his ears would still bleed if he accidentally bumped them. She also used butterfly-back earrings, which are typically used at mall kiosks like Claire's -- not at professional piercing studios where sterile jewelry and proper techniques are standard. Later, when I visited another reputable studio for my daughter's and my own piercings, I learned that several Florida health and safety requirements were not followed at Eclipse Tattoos. The piercer did not wear a mask or goggles, and I did not see sterile gloves or single-use tools being properly handled. My son eventually had to remove the earrings after two weeks due to continued bleeding and lack of healing. I would never recommend this place for any type of piercing. Please be careful and do your research -- make sure the piercer marks placements, uses sterile tools and jewelry, and follows all safety and sanitation laws. This experience could have been much worse, and I wouldn't want another family to go through the same thing.

We recently went to eclipse tattoos for a couple tattoos and my daughter got a piercing. The…read morepiercer seemed very flustered and nervous which should have been the first clue, was trying to give her the benefit of doubt thinking because they opened at 10 and her appointment was around 11 she just was trying to get stuff set up. She marked her ear 3 times for a forward helix than said she was ready. She pierced her ear with the needle, left the needle sitting in her ear grabbed a bar put that through her ear. Pulled that back out grabbed another metal bar put that through to which my daughter than started crying. The piercer than said ," I know i know I'm sorry , mom looks like she wants to punch me. " I held my daughter scared as well not sure what the heck was going on. She than finally put the earring in with blood running down her face onto her leg. My daughter has numerous ear piercings, including a conch, a rook, her belly button, her nose, she isn't new to piercings. We have never experienced anything like this to where my daughter said afterwards I think I'm good on piercings from now on. Just giving a heads up not sure if the piercer is new she seems very in experienced and I don't want someone else to go through what we went through. On a side note our tattoo artist was wonderful she did a great job with my son's tattoo and myself, would highly recommend for a tattoo.
