They checked in on how I was feeling throughout the entire thing, explained every step, and made me feel at home. I forgot to eat the first time I came and almost passed out afterwards and they fed me snacks, gave me water, and fanned me down until I felt better. What!? I have never felt so safe! I've been to other piercers for my ears and they always rushed the process and were never personable. But here at Pinky's? Oh, no baby. I love the way he incorporates these "nerdy" pop culture icons into his designs (Star Wars, X-Men, Ghostface, etc.). You can tell how seriously he takes his craft and it shows in his work. I didn't hesitate to go for a decent sized Darth Vader on my shoulder/arm, and it came out even better than expected. Less than 6 months later and I went back for my second tattoo from Cory - a traditional looking dragonfly for my moms 60th bday (she's always had a dragonfly tattoo). Again, perfection. The shop itself is awesome - very clean and open, with flash splattered on the walls and plenty of books showcasing art/tattoos from well known artists for inspiration/reference. Fridge full of complementary waters/drinks. And other artists either hard at work, or just shooting the shit (which is entertaining enough to get you through a full session, thanks Phil). I searched youtube for answers and they just said wiggle back and forth until they are free. After cutting the post off one ear, I could reconstruct it and see where the problem was in removing the back, like a regular earring.
