Fast and delicious! Stopped by on our way to North Myrtle Beach. We looked up lunch options along route and this place was right on 74E. My husband got the steak burrito and was impressed with the amount of food for the price (rice and vegetables on the side). I got the grilled chicken quesadilla with vegetables and it was very tender. It was only $4 and it was a good size. We got a taco/enchilada combo for the kids as well for $4. The total was almost $21 with tax. It also came with chips and spicy salsa. The food was fresh and made fast, within 15 minutes of us getting there (we ordered around 2pm). Thank you Yelp! Passing through on our way to the beach from Charlotte, husband wanted to get Bojangles next door and I overruled and told him pregnantly that we're getting Mexican. Went in, warm chips, good salsa + salsa bar (we used to live in Texas and are missing that kind of thing), ridiculously cheap meal. $20 for four of us and we got each kid a kid's meal for $3 (chicken tenders and cheese quesadilla with fries). Husband loved his chicken fundido, so cheesy and sour creamy and perfect with rice. He didn't even add salsa to it. Great flavor and the veggies were good too. I really dug the rice and refried beans with my beef fajitas, and I especially liked the tomatoes cooked with them (+ peppers and onions). Wrap the whole thing in that warm flour tortilla with a little salsa, mmmm. The fajitas themselves were normal fajitas, but (to sound very snobby) we don't exactly live in a bastion of Mexican food, so they were great! Definitely a great stop between Charlotte and the beach. If you're looking for greasy Mexican food, this is your place. It's not upscale at all. The lunch deals are pretty good, 2 people can eat for $10. It's your basic Mexican place. The food is pre-made and heated up to order. If you're looking for gourmet, keep looking. If you're wanting chips, salsa, and a good, greasy plate of food, I recommend it. Service can be a little slow, so just sit back, chat, or watch TV. Sometimes they give you a free desert or cheese dip, so that's always a plus. For a Mexican restaurant, their "Mexican" flavors are more than a little lacking. The chips were good, the salsa quite a bit weak, but tolerable. I ordered a chili relleno, and what I got was nothing but some sloppy looking gravy stuff with a few pieces of chili thrown in. Truly, I have no idea what it was, but it definitely was NOT chili relleno. Someone did not know how to make it at all!!!! Their flavors are Americanized - definitely not Mexican-y at all. Serving a few things drowning in cheese and chili sauce does not make it Mexican. Thoroughly disappointed and I will not return. read more
