I CAN'T RECOMMEND LA GATES ENOUGH! I have been dealing with a 30 year-old motor for over a year. It finally died on a Saturday and I was able to convince our cheap HOA to get a new one. I called Eli and he picked up right away (Saturday) and gave me a quote over the phone. He recommended the All-0-Matic SL100 because they are a local company and a solid motor. He gave me a quote, which included a 5 year warranty on the motor and 3 months on the installation. I got several other quotes, some TWICE as high and some lower, but with no warranty and cheaper motors. Eli was honest, installed it in one day, welded on a new piece of track, new chain, and adjusted everything perfectly. Offered to come back for any problems or changes (timing of automatic gate close, etc.). Eli was prompt, showed up when he said he would, and finished within 4 hours. The motor looks like the inside of an airplane engine, that's how heavy duty it is. It's a relief to have that door fixed, as we have a transient problem in SM and they are always testing the doors. Finally, this industry attracts a lot of scammers who's quotes are all over the map or will try to put in a cheap motor. Save yourself a headache, call Eli. read more
