Headline: NOT HONEST - PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION I am updating my review for the second time because I feel it is important to warn others. The first time I left a negative review was after an initial experience where I called them because they advertised free estimates. After simply looking at the garage opener and doing no actual work, I was still charged a $30 service fee. On top of that, I was quoted over $3,000 just to replace the opener alone, not the garage door itself, which I found completely unreasonable. After that review, Ben, the owner, personally reached out to me. He was very nice, explained that the employee involved had been let go, and asked for the opportunity to make things right. Because of how he handled it, I decided to give the company a second chance. Unfortunately, after hiring them again several times for garage and gate keypad work across multiple properties that I manage, I later discovered that they have been very dishonest. On multiple occasions, I was told that the existing Chamberlain / LiftMaster keypads needed to be fully replaced because they could not be reprogrammed. I have since learned that this was not true. The original keypads were in fact reprogrammable, and replacement was not necessary. As a result, I was charged for new keypads and installation at approximately three different properties, which ended up costing me a significant amount of money. I have since taken the time to learn how to handle these systems myself, and now understand that I was given incorrect information. My advice to anyone considering this company: please get a second opinion, especially if you are not familiar with garage and gate systems. I believe that is absolutely necessary. I am very disappointed because I gave this company a second chance in good faith after Ben personally reached out, and unfortunately I now feel that trust was misplaced. I was very impressed with David and his crew. Their professionalism was obvious from the quick response and their ability to get the job done quickly and very well. My garage door opener was more than 28 years old and the plastic gears internal to the unit shredded and failed so the best option was to replace it with a new unit. I got a LiftMaster and it had the added benefit of being much quieter and also they installed sensors that visually with a laser detected any obstructions to keep the door from coming down if anyone was in the way. We never had that before. I got two remotes and a new wall button installed as well. I was surprised how quickly he was able to do the job immediately. I joked that he didn't have a truck. He had a store on wheels since all of the parts for the new opener motor and remotes and sensors were immediately installed. The whole job was done in under two hours. So I'm satisfied that this will last for years and he gave a good extended warranty of parts and labor, so any problems in the next few years a quick call will take care of. The company changed owners and it is now a scam. They came over, said a gear on the garage door opener is broken, and will replace it with a "middle-duty" opener. They demanded $2,000 for this. The price online for the parts is a couple hundred dollars. Following the installation suddenly the garage door itself was dented and now needs to be repaired. Do not use this company. read more

UPDATE: Less than six years later, one of the 'heavy duty' springs we got from Win has broken. That's by far the shortest amount of time I've had a spring last. ORIGINAL 6.12.18 The technician came for a spring replacement at 6:10 pm, about two hours after I called. He was scheduled to arrive between 5-7 pm so I was glad he was on time. This type of repair is pretty common so it makes sense that there could be a fairly standard charge. When the technician quoted me $250, I declined. Then it turns into a negotiation. He then quoted $200 and we finally settle on $180. It seemed like a cheesy, sleazy way to do business, almost like I was buying a used car from a plaid sportcoat-wearing, pencil thin mustashioed salesman. Ugh. read more

Gate is falling off. Tried at least 500 times to call. Finally someone answered and said they will send someone out. Never happened almost a whole year has past. We had some other company come out and said that the gate was too heavy and they never should have connected it to the garage and that it needed a post embedded in concrete. This time six houses in the neighborhood suffered the same break-in in one night. Thieves punched in a window panel in the rolling garage door, pulled the manual cord and got into the garage. A big lesson in how vulnerable we were from this unexpected angle. Examination of the door exposed just how flimsy our (and the typical) garage door is. We got a competitive quote, and worked with Ben to deliver a great deal for both our doors: double steel, windowless, ultra quite ease-on, ease-off engines that are also app-monitored and operated. SO MUCH QUIETER and so much stronger than the old doors. Our garage is no longer our weakest point of entry. Most companies i talked to were not too enthusiastic about my project (I had about 5 quotes). I had very specific door and motor in mind. I wanted two custom insulated barn doors with Lift Master wall mount motor. Both were complicated install. One had low ceiling that requires special 90 degree track. The other is a high ceiling 45 degree track that is mounted to the ceiling. Tracks and doors had to be special order. These guys did an excellent job. Ben and his crew were very skilled at what they do. If you have a complicated door, get a quote from these guys. If you have a simple install, call them anyway, their prices are fair.
