It was a bit pricey, $20 per person for 3 laps or $25 per person for 3 laps if you bundle it with 18 holes of mini golf. Each lap is one mile. The go karts are fun, but I found it annoying that they have each kart fully stop at the beginning of the track after each track for a staff to remove one of your tickets. That is how they keep track of the laps instead of just watching and counting. It made it harder to stay with friends on the track. We did bundle it with mini golf even though we didnt complete all 18 holes. We stopped at 9 due to time and all the holes were pretty much the same each time. It would have been more interesting if there was some variety.

I guess we got lucky, and we actually got free admission due to a company sponsoring the first 100 visitors for the day. It was a cold rainy day so there were not many other visitors at the park with us. It was so neat to see a zoo mostly dedicated to the animals seen in New York State. With it being a rainy, cold day not all of the animals were out, but we were able to see most of them. Our favorite was the Wolverine who was doing lap after lap running around his enclosure. He would stop and say hi to us when we were near the fence, and then continue on doing his laps. We even stopped in the gift shop and got a wolverine stuffed animal. You could definitely tell that it has been some years since the zoo had had some renovations, but I think this is what I liked best about it. The zoo its self was nice and simple with an easy route to see all of the animals. I think if we are in the area again, and it is a nice day out, we would stop again.

The zoo has several different New York wildlife species which are all rescues from various areas. The animals are clearly well taken care of and the staff love them dearly. We appreciated that this was a New York State focused zoo, and we learned a lot about the animals that live around us. There were also many different reptiles including turtles and a snake. We loved the education geared towards the kids, and the entire zoo was decorated for Halloween which was tons of fun. The gift shop had tons of different items. Our favorite animal was the Wolverine, he ran multiple laps and was showing off for us. We had to get a stuffed Wolverine from the gift shop in his honor. We would love to return!

The owner really took care to involve just about every item in the room was a part of the puzzle, and it really did feel like I was poking around my elderly aunt's apartment, down to the handful of Bobby pins and loose cough drops I found in the bottom of a purse. Our room was a 7/10 difficulty, but my mom and gf and I are kinda true-crime and puzzle enthusiasts, so we were able to finish it without too much difficulty, although I'll admit we did need a few hints. We'll definitely be coming back again and trying our hand at some of the more challenging rooms! David provided an amazing experience and is clearly very proud of his rooms, as well he should be. I cannot say enough great things about Otter Creek Preserve. The clean and well maintained trails…read morewere so fun for our entire family. We made an afternoon of exploring. There were a lot of highlights- the big bridge, climbing the boulders to the scenic overlook of a huge marsh where we saw an enormous heron and lots of wild life- we saw porcupine, chipmunks, bunnies, and some cool birds, The trails were pretty easy, my three year old handled them well. There's even an ADA trail, making this an inclusive outdoor activity. This will remain a tradition when we go back to Thousand Islands!
