Came here with my girlfriend and family for my brother's birthday and had a blast! There were five of us, and we did The Family Fortune room, which was thoughtfully and cleverly decorated and designed. The owner really took care to involve just about every item in the room was a part of the puzzle, and it really did feel like I was poking around my elderly aunt's apartment, down to the handful of Bobby pins and loose cough drops I found in the bottom of a purse. Our room was a 7/10 difficulty, but my mom and gf and I are kinda true-crime and puzzle enthusiasts, so we were able to finish it without too much difficulty, although I'll admit we did need a few hints. We'll definitely be coming back again and trying our hand at some of the more challenging rooms! David provided an amazing experience and is clearly very proud of his rooms, as well he should be. I couldn't recommend this place more and can't wait to come back! read more

My first escape room in NY and it was AMAZING! David, the owner, is awesome and super funny! We tried the CSI room and was a great beginners room. It had us stumped a few times but with the hints given it got us on the right track. Couldn't be more happy with how cool the room was and will definitely be back for a more scary room.. Outstanding escape room center! My wife and I have done several across the eastern US as we travel and this place is right up there with the best in even some larger cities! If you're a small group or new, start with Aunt Edna's. The Bank Heist definitely gets easier with more people/more hands. We came back with a larger group for the pirate ship and had a blast. Fully immersive experience. Skip the mall - come here instead! Ample parking outside and plenty of food options in the area for before or after. read more

Went here last night with 3 of my friends and did the "safe zone" room and I must say the amount of time that went into making that room definitely reflects in how fun and creative it is. The man working there was very kind, interactive, and was very engaged with everything going on. One of the best nights out we have had in a while and we're looking forward to many more here at the escape works. I recommend this for anybody that has thought about doing an escape room. read more

Went here with a big group of people. It was fun, the owner does a good job with the rooms (note to beginners DO NOT play the pirate ship room YET it is not a beginner level whatsoever). Anyways, it was very detailed and well thought out. I quite enjoyed it, the one thing that I really got frustrated about was the nonstop hints coming from the front desk. We asked for him to NOT give us hints and when he did anyways, it kept clouding my train of thought. I am pretty likely to come back here and do the other rooms though, because clearly the owner takes pride in what he does. The overall set up of the game is worth 5 stars, but I was really frustrated with the nonstop (seriously, nonstop) hints which started 2 minutes into us starting the game (and yes, we were already on the right track.) this guy literally did the room for us and we still lost, 8 people at once is a bad idea. I wanted to have fun at losing, not be annoyed with not having a chance to think. As always, take your own chance and experience things for yourself. You might like having a lot of hints, but I did not. Happy escaping. read more

Highly recommended! This is a must for family fun, a great bonding experience between couples! The owner, Dave is very helpful and ambitious! The set up is great and really immerses you into the problem solving mindset. Will go again and try the next room soon. read more

I had never done this before and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very fun. The scenario and room were set up just like a real bank office. It clearly was well thought out and very challenging. Highly recommend!!! This is definitely the best fun in Watertown!!! So much attention to detail and the host was so welcoming and funny!!! Our group included adults and 12-16 year olds. They have 8 or more rooms and only 1 employee who has to work the front desk, show people their rooms, take photos and give out clues. It's not digital at all so to get your clue you have to press a button and wait for them to come in the room which kinda ruins the whole escape aspect. The first time we pressed it we waited at least 3 mins, the second time we waited 7 mins. One of our keys was missing so we couldn't continue to level 3 and the employee had no clue where it was and wasn't even able to give us a clue based on what we were asking him. Had I paid $10-15 I'd be less disappointed but definitely not worth any more than $15.

These two lighthouses protect Sodus Bay, the largest natural harbor on Lake Ontario. This light was first established in 1858, the new lighthouse was replaced in 1938 with this 51 foot tall structure. The view over Lake Ontario is fabulous, especially this early in the morning. This is challenging because of the small size and limited sites. I try at least six months in advance for a water site. The water sites are hard to get. I will stay at any of them they are all wonderful. The lake is very refreshing and the beach is fun. There is a huge rock in the middle of the lake that my family takes pictures at. It is quit a wonderful view. I love coming here to camp. All the campers are always friendly and polite. I have talked with many and they all think this campground is a hidden gem.

100% the MOST fun you can have in Watertown and any city for that matter. The owner makes each and every room come to life. He puts an incredible amount of time and effort into every group that comes in. If you have a free hour, absolutely stop in and try all of his rooms. He offers hints to each group or you can opt for no hints. He in NO WAY is overbearing with the hints and only offers them if your stuck or ask for one. Escape Works should absolutely have a 5/5 star rating on all platforms. I just completed the 3rd of 4 rooms and will be going back to take on the last one next weekend. Try this place. So much fun!! This place is the best around, so many creative puzzles to solve and the props and set up were amazing. The creator Dave brings these rooms to life with his personality and imagination. We brought the whole family, including our kids and tried the Family Fortune room, they loved helping to solve the puzzles (which are challenging even for us adults), we almost made it out. We want to try the other rooms in the future, possibly with some co workers. Thank you! PS. Don't waste your time at the mall escape rooms, they were terrible! Super fun experience! The owner was so welcoming and absolutely hilarious. He creates all of his own escape rooms which makes it an original and creative. We came as a family of four and not busy at all. We did the Family Fortune escape room and absolutely loved it! We didn't make it out in time (lol) but still enjoyed it. It's well worth the price of admission for over an hour of fun and entertainment. I'd much rather spend my dollars at a locally owned/operated establishment than a corporate one. Our host Josh played the part so well! We did the bank heist room and it was challenging but Josh was there to help when we needed it! We didn't escape, but we will definitely be back! read more
