J'ai décidé d'essayer ce petit restaurant qui a beaucoup de review positif sur Yelp et Google. Il s'agit d'un petit restaurant italien qui fait des pizza et des pâtes. Les enfants comme les adultes trouverons leur compte dans les multiples choix. Il y a une terrasse extérieur, une salle à mangé ainsi qu'une salle de réception privée. Si vous désirez manger sur la terrasse, la file d'attente est devant celle-ci sinon aller directement à l'intérieur . Le stationnement à l'arrière est grand. Il s'étend sur quelques bloc donc même s'il n'y a pas de place directement derrière, continué. Il y a pas mal d'enseigne qui vous l'indique anyway. Pour la nourriture, j'ai décidé d'essayer la pizza les 3 petits cochons. Il s'agit d'une pizza avec sauce tomate, mozzarella, bacon, capicollo et saucisse. Toute les pizza sont servit avec un petit pot d'huile épicé. Les pizza sont cuit dans un four au bois et gaz sur une plaque tournante. On le goûte très bien. La pizza a un petit goût de bois juste parfait et elle était très bonne. La seul chose, et c'est question de préférence, je l'aurais laisser un petit peu plus longtemps pour avoir une croûte plus croustillante sur le dessous. Il s'agit de pizza croûte mince style napolitaine mais garnis façon new York. J'estime la taille autour de 12" pour la pizza. Le.service est bien, on ne ressent pas les effets de la pénurie de main d'oeuvre tant sur la rapidité du service que dans l'attente pour la nourriture. Je vais y retourner essayer autre chose mais certainement reprendre une pizza plus tard. Il y a possibilité de faire livrer ou de prendre pour emporter avec un rabais. Il y a une note au bas du menu qui indique que si vous prenez un repas et le partagé, il y a des frais de 4$. Je trouve cela tout de même bizarre comme frais, il me semble que si la pizza est trop grosse mais que je peux la manger à 2, pourquoi je paierais un extra? read more

Supper with friends on a Saturday night. We were pleased with the service. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. They are strict with their Covid rules. Passport and signature required. Its a byow and they don't allow hard drinks, no vodka based drinks. Their menu is limited to pasta and pizza though there are couple of veal and parm dishes. We liked the primavera pasta and the bolognese was spot on. In summer they double their capacity with a terrace. Nice find for simple reasonably priced food. read more

Good food, a little salty but tasty. Calamari, fettuccine gigi and linguine carbonara are all good choices. Large plates, enough to bring some home after. Service was ok but a bit rude sometimes. Quite expensive but food is nothing fancy, similar to an average family Italian restaurant, except for the older crowd. read more

The restaurant is in a very charming old house with a couple of extensions and updates, inotherwords (is that 1 word or 3?) it has character. Fun place to go with a group, or just a couple looking for a good dinner with great tasting food. We ordered the arancini, polpette, and cheese starters, for mains we had Pizza, pasta, and a veal dish. Everything was delicious, I especially liked the tomato sauce. It was light with just enough seasoning. And the bonus is bring your own wine. Staff and service was also very good, overall a nice surprise in my neck of the woods. read more

Located off the busy Laurentides boulevard, La Grange Urbaine can be easy to miss and this is something that must be avoided as one can enjoy a really nice variety of good grub depending what time of the day you show up. For my visit, it was for brunch but they also offer Italian styled meal options for the evenings that looks mighty tasty! They also provide Brio, an amazing Italian styled soda that is practically my kryptonite! I went with their "Speciale Du Boucheron" which consisted of eggs, toast, potatoes, sausages, beans, bacon, ham and so forth. Why live to 40? The bacon were crisp and tasty. The ham and sausages were flavorful. The eggs were done just right. The potatoes were addictive. All in all, it was a really good breakfast and worthy for a re-visit, even perhaps a supper. I did find that the breakfast portions weren't comparable to the other places we can get breakfast in Laval as this island is the mecca of fine breakfast options with many of them offering huge portions that fill you up and then some! My meal did leave me still slightly hungry which is unfortunate. If they can provide a larger portion, it would only serve them better as their prices do compete are comparable to others. Solid restaurant, I had breakfast here a few times. The menu isn't anything to brag about but there prices are reasonable! And it's a nice place for groups. For breakfast they serve up the traditional stuff from eggs, bacon, ham to French toast and crepes. I can't really score this higher then a 3 though. Only got to try there breakfast dishes, but u heard they make a mean pizza! With a wood fire oven. The service is a little slow but other then that it's a cool spot for a quick bite. read more

Beautiful day, we sat on the terrace for the first time for spring 2015. Good atmosphere outside, as there was a group booked inside and it was extremely loud, therefore a loss of a star. The food was very good. The wood fired oven made for a great pizza. The mozzarella entre was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant, especially the terrace. Don't forget to bring your own wine, as they don't have a liquor license. read more

Very good breakfast, great service, good portion. They got my smoothie wrong, ordered watermelon got strawberry... Assumed when they figured it out and said sorry that they would credit it from the bill, but they didn't... Ask for hot chocolate instead of the included coffee and they charged a 3$ extra... So turned out being an expensive Breakfast but very good. It kinda smells funny from we get in, at first I thought it was cigarettes but then I notice it might be the wood stove... After trying to find a breakfast joint that would take our reservations for Mother's day, I ended up making reservations at the Grange Urbaine. Easy to find, nice look from outside. The place was not "packed" as one would expect on Mother's day, but the sound was deafening; was probably the pine planks that covers walls and ceiling, but to me, it was truly uncomfortable. It took a long while for anyone to come to our table, if only for coffee, and another long moment until the waitress took our order. Food was good, well done, seasoned just right. Good enough quantity as well. The owner came to our table often to apologize for the long wait, everytime saying it was to be expected to since it was Mother's day. Yeah, everyone there knew that, and furthermore, its the same every year... I don't understand how a restaurant does not manage its kitchen with that in thought. And the place was not nearly as packed as I have often experienced. Bottom line, we might go again, but will eat on their nice terrace so we won't get buzzing ears. read more

Well to me the service was excellent. Went for breakfast, we were served coffee as soon as we sat, gave us time to choose, food and plating wonderful and coffee refilled without us asking. Great place, I recommend it highly!! read more

In the mood for a great pizza to take out and bring home and enjoy with the family? Well then skip this place. We ordered three separate types of pizzas, (let,s just say we had a proper sample size), and each one of them was as tasteless as the next one. Honestly they appeared to have been put together by someone counting the ingredients or someone really into portion control. The one with black olives, had five (yes we counted them) not whole olives...pieces (probably from the same olive). the one that had green peppers, three pieces (over an entire pizza) and so on. The tomato sauce was tasteless, the cheese (what cheese?) no better. The dough was barely cooked. Unfortunately we had driven twenty minutes to get there, so sending it back was out of the question. I saved one piece to have later (yum...cold pizza). It was just as tasteless...So disappointing when you just can't find a decent place for pizza. read more
