    Chicken Fried Rice

Been to la granja 100 times, always got the same thing. Decided to switch it up and get the chicken fried rice. It did not disappoint. Giant portion, every bite delicious as the first. Everything is always clean, consistent and delicious.

I'm use to the ones in Central Florida, so decided to try this one. First off, whoever decided to put this La Granga here wasn't thinking. Everybody knows that you have to order at the window, and then go park to wait for your food to come out. You literally have to pull out of the parking area due to where the order window is and then drive around the block to come back to park. Ridiculous. Anyway, the good was okay. Not the same love in the food.

Great place for Peruvian food. You can be able to enjoy a decent food at a decent price, especially seafood

La Granja was highly recommended to me, so maybe that's why my expectations were so high, this is a Peruvian fast food restaurant. First the location, it's your typical fast food set up, order at the counter and lots of booths inside. The neighborhood is run down and dreary and the inside decor is pretty bad. For the food: I ordered the steak which is served with a side of white rice, black beans, plantains and a red onion salsa, it was about $12, the steak was super thin and lacked flavor, I found the food quality to be cheap and for the price I have had better quality at other places. I did like that they have many sauces to choose from and an onion salad bar which was actually pretty good. My friend insists I need to go back and try the chicken, so if I am ever in the area I may consider it.

I've been sleeping on La Granja for far too long. This place rocked my world. I was getting $13 tattoos in the adjacent plaza with my sister, and we had a few hours to kill and we were starvin' like marvin. My handy Yelp app told me La Granja was a few steps away, so we walked there. I walked in expecting something like Pollo and was presently surprised. It looks new inside, and when you walk in the side door the first thing you see is a display of wines, desserts, and beers. That's what I'm talkin' about. $12 for a bottle of wine? I already know I'll be back. We went to the counter and ordered in. I decided on half chicken with salad and potatoes with onions. I did not expect the massive serving size I got for barely $8. It was several pounds of food. I was so ready to go in. There is a bar set up with various diced onions, I went with the spicy and garlic. There are also a bunch of mysterious tubes with sauces, and I opted for red and green - whatever those were. All I know is they were all fresh and delicious. My meal was plentiful and fresh and super yum. Somehow I ate it all and barely hated myself after. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and nothing was greasy. I think going with such low expectations made me only more impressed of this place. This will definitely be my new go-to spot!!!

Bohio Latin Flavors, Margate…read more Dominican and Puerto Rican cuisine with a heavy emphasis on mofongo, and based on this visit, that's one of the reasons to come here. They offer numerous variations, with your choice of sauce and protein, making this one of the more mofongo-focused restaurants I've seen in Broward. We started with the shrimp mofongo. The plantain mound itself was moist, flavorful, and nicely seasoned, avoiding the dry, dense texture that plagues lesser versions. Ours came topped with a rich shrimp sauce, but other options included a garlic cream sauce and a Creole-style sauce, both of which looked excellent as they passed through the dining room. Of the dishes we tried, the mofongo was actually my favorite. The masitas de cerdo (fried pork chunks) were flavorful and well-seasoned, although they came out a bit drier than I would have preferred. I'd still order them again, but based on what I saw arriving at nearby tables, the pernil may be the move on a future visit. The rice deserves mention as well. The arroz con gandules was excellent, with plenty of flavor rather than simply serving as a side dish. They also offered moro rice in both red bean and black bean versions, which was nice to see. The Punta Cana cocktail was worth ordering. Sweet, tropical, and considerably stronger than it looked. The dining room is much larger than it appears from outside, but this is very much a casual neighborhood spot. It reminded me of the kind of local restaurant you'd find in Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic: a large dining room, full bar, TVs on the wall, families gathering for dinner, and the emphasis squarely on the food rather than creating an upscale experience. There's also a stage and DJ setup for live entertainment. One note: service was slow on our Sunday evening visit. After speaking with the manager, I learned she was also the restaurant's only server and that a single cook was handling the kitchen while also keeping up with a steady stream of takeout orders. Given those realities, the pace made more sense. Everyone was friendly, but this isn't the place to visit if you're in a hurry. Both English and Spanish menus are available, although the primary server was clearly more comfortable interacting in Spanish. They also feature Latin music and a DJ on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, which is probably when the room really comes alive. If you're a fan of mofongo, pernil, arroz con gandules, or Dominican comfort food in general, Bohio is worth adding to your list.

FYI…read more- It is valet only...no charge gratuities only...at the end of your visit they hand you your keys and your walk to your own car...at least that is how it went for us. We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

We were able to try lots of dishes (it's tapas of course) and each one was delicious! My favorite was the oxtail and octupus. We were also served sangria--both white and red--which were delish! Just caution that it's pretty much valet parking and when a photographer comes around, expect them to try to sell you the photo they took, printed and framed for you. You can kindly decline! I would definitely want to come back for a date night or even a couples night out. It has the perfect ambiance for it.

People were damcing and having a good time. The main kitchen was closed so there was a limited menu. We ordered the small Picadas Nando for $57 which really didn't look small at all. My party liked most of the meat options but they didnt like the blood sausage. It came with about 4 tostones and lot of potatoes. I think it should've had more tostones with all that meat. For drinks, I had the coco lemonade, my friends had flavored margaritas. They enjoyed their drinks. At first, it was very hot in there like the air was off. After about an hour i gelt it come one. Next time, I'll definitely ask for light on the beans because everything else was really good! Overall, great atmosphere, fast service, and delicious food. I'd absolutely come back!
