    Strawberry dessert
    Clifton K.

This place is one of my favorites ever. The view and boat ride over are worth it alone. The prices are exspensive but for experience like this it is so worth it. Calamari and salmon appetizers were my favorites and the spiny lobster pasta was so delicious. Order the strawberry dessert my favorite ever.

A MUST WHEN IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE. This was genuinely one of our favorite beach clubs as a whole. Very expensive experience, but beautiful on an island. Tip: pay the $25 for the boat ride to the restaurant, get the 3:30 pm seating in advance if you want to be there when the restaurant gets rowdy. Service definitely was not the best as we were there for the rowdy seating and they seemed like they were overwhelmed. Food portions are pretty small for the price. Octopus & truffle pizzas were the stars of the show.

The food was great, our server Camille was amazing probably the best we've had since we've been in France. But the party felt like Disneyland. They said there was a DJ, but I didn't see one just only music from the speakers. Also, they sat us next to a bunch of other people that also didn't speak. French felt very segregated for no reason. Also, I am from Miami, so I expect certain things at a certain price point for example the entertainment was lame. If you're spending thousands of dollars for a meal there should be Entertainment the entire time not only at 4 PM. They had some band singers come around very lame. I'm sure for people from other parts of the world this may have been a good party. But as someone who lives in Miami this was a complete fail on vibe, entertainment etc. I guess overall if you normally party in Miami, do not come here. If you are from the middle of America or somewhere else, then maybe this might be enjoyable. at least the food was good.

Absolutely love La Guerite! So why not 5 stars? The service was at times slow / forgetful but the atmosphere is so good that you don't mind waiting or asking again but I do think you should get a correct service, considering that it is not really cheap The restaurant is on Ile St Marguerite, which is an island right of the coast of Cannes. You can take the restaurant's transfer service from Porto Canto, which is 22 eur per person. The food was really good, the lobster pasta was certainly worth the splurge. They had a wine list which I found reasonably priced considering the location. But the main attraction is really the amazing view and atmosphere, it is really beautiful and they have a band which sings songs and everyone joins dancing and singing! I will certainly come back, it was my fave during a great trip to Cannes, and considering that there were many great places, I would highly recommend it. .

I will start off by saying this place is truly beautiful. I booked a solo birthday lunch here and it was so nice. If you are trying to make a reservation it's best to just email them as well as email them for the boat shuttle to the island and back for extra added to your bill at the end . The atmosphere is so fun and an amazing vibe. Now onto the food itself. I spent about 275 euros for lunch here. I did not like the calamari nor the bruschetta. The calamari tasted very fishy and lacked flavor. The bruschetta was very dry . I got the steak frites and the fries were good , I would have probably enjoyed the steak more if I wasn't hung over. I ordered a lemon drop and the bar tender didn't know how to make it , it's best to stick to their spritz. The service was slow and not attentive. Overall very instagram worthy but food/service could be improved upon.

And hats off to the owner who literally was the only waiter in the packed little restaurant and was serving the wine, making the espressos, bussing tables, taking orders, making desserts, speaking to each table a bit, having a wonderful attitude, and doing it all in good timing to all the satisfied customers. The chef himself even pitched in with helping serve, totally in sync with the owner. These two amazing guys totally changed my and my wife's perspective about how other restaurants are run - especially when tipping here is more of a courtesy and in the states many restaurants just add 18% on to your bill for gratuity regardless of the service you got. I left the owner just 10 euros and he was so thankful and graciously declined but promised he'd give it to the kitchen staff when we insisted that we just had to appreciate them with a tip. Unreal, awesome, classy, can't wait to return.

Tucked in a relatively quiet street (for Nice anyways), Bistrot Gourmand can easily be missed unless you happen to notice 1,100+ highly rated reviews that this gem of a restaurant has garnered. But if you do make it here, you will be treated to not only a culinary euphoria, but also a delightful, memorable service courtesy of the staff led by the Maestro himself, the manager Alex. To start, we noticed that the ambience and the music curated by Alex are different from all the other restaurants we've been to in Paris, Nice, and Monaco. There was an intimate feel that is countered by his fun eclectic musical taste that somehow works together with Alex's charm and bravado to entertain us and other tables (the other two parties were also on first name basis with Alex, as they were returning patrons of the restaurant). After having our orders taken, we were then surprised by our lovely waitress with an off-the-menu presentation of an amuse bouche to whet our appetite for what's to come. It was refreshing and playful. If there was a slight blemish with our meal, it was the Gaspacho de Courgettes (courgette gazpacho with soft-boiled eggs, basil hollandaise, and crispy onion). For my taste, it was a little too polite in flavor and needed the side of housemade brown bread with its slight saltiness to assist it. It was still good, but I would like just a bit more. The good news is that from here on everything it was smooth sailing across our Côte d'Azur of an experience. The wine of choice was Château Malbec Bordeaux, a fantastic red wine with a delicious initial taste and smooth satisfying finish. It was versatile and complimented everyone's dishes. And speaking of dishes, I had the exquisite Linguines à La Crème et Truffe d'été (Linguine with cream and truffle and). Don't let the short description fool you because this dish was heavenly, the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes just you can further savor the delicious flavor and balance of the pasta, the buttery truffle, and surprisingly light Crème sauce that was not heavy on the oil. I simply couldn't get enough with every bite and this is without a doubt my favorite dish from my time in France! If you enjoy beef tartare, you'll definitely enjoy the Tartare de Boeuf, as "prepared with a knife, potatoes with Provencal herbs." Our lovely waitress took tableside center stage as she mixed various ingredients from raw egg and minced raw beef to herbs and Worchister sauce with ease and precision to create a delicious, savory dish full of bold flavors that you can distinctly taste each individual flavor. Finally, the main event arrived upon us as Maestro Alex rolled out his cart to create our dessert, the Crépes Suzette, façon Bistrot Gourmand. This was worth the ticket going in, as the spectacle elevated our dining experience to another level. Pulsed by a mix of a lively music that started with the Rocky theme, Alex really put on a show with panache and enthralling commitment. It was truly a fun spectacle that is best experienced in person. The best part was that the Crépe Suzette was truly magical in its taste. There was sweetness and slight nuttines that paired well together. Since Tour de France 2024 is only a few days away from its Stage 21 finish at Nice, I can confidently say that Bistrot Gourmand is THE summit finish, the culinary highlight of our travels in France. It was the best way we could've ended this last week in France, and it is now the standard that we will judge our foodie experience going forward as we embark into Italy for the next 2 weeks. Florence and Rome have a lot to live of up to now! In the mean time, for any future visits back to Nice, we will definitely dedicate at least one or two dining experience back at Bristot Gourmand. Chapeau Alex and the staff, and hats off to the chef!

The prefix is definitely the way to go. Pair it with a nice bottle of wine and you are set. The food was not your standard French fair; it was more of a fusion of different cuisines but they pull it off beautifully. The Socca was cooked perfectly. The melon and prosciutto were a great combination of savory and sweet. But the star of my meal was the Asian inspired beef with noodles; cooked and seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of sauce and saltiness. It was glorious, not much else I can add. I was initially weary of the fusion concept but it was perfectly executed and really made sense in terms of the this area. French, Italian and Asian cuisine come together in perfect harmony at L'Eponyme. Both hubby and I got the very reasonable 30 Euro prix fix. Appetizers were amazing. The socca layer cake was delicate and flavorful with roasted peppers and cheese holding it together. The melon with prosciutto and mozzarella was simple yet delicious. For our main courses the Cod was perfectly cooked with citrus and herbs to balance out the flavor. Fish was fresh as can be. The beef and noodles dish was a hit, with the juiciest most tender pieces of meat seasoned in a lovely Asian sauce. The accompanying noodles were the perfect texture. Even the dessert was spectacular. I loved my Toblerone mousse. It brought on some nice nostalgia from childhood. The strawberry crumble was heavy on the fresh strawberries and came with an amazing strawberry sorbet sprinkled with a few bits of crumble. This was the perfect meal to start of our vacation in the south of France!

Located on a narrow, lively street buzzing with small bars and cafés, which is very popular with locals (I assume this because everyone spoke French and it had a neighborhood vibe). Our friendly, server greeted us warmly and spoke very good English. We elected to go with the 37€ prix fixe menu, which included a first course, entree and dessert - each selected from the full menu or daily special. Our wine - a robust, jammy Syrah with a velvet finish - was recommended by our server and came from the nearby Lérins winery on St Honorat Island, where it is made by Monks at the Abbey. It was superb! My first course was one if the specials for the day, a crab ravioli in a delicious sauce that reminded me of a creamy creole sauce without the heat. The spices didn't overpower the delicate flavor of the crab. One of my colleagues started with the fresh lobster salad, which was half of a large, bright red, fresh lobster served alongside some fresh greens & tomatoes. If my raviolis weren't so great, I would have been jealous! Another colleague went with the mozzarella & tomato salad, a nice variation of a caprese salad, but more like a bruschetta minus the toast, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Off to a great start! Entrees didn't disappoint either! Two of us had the rack of lamb and the others had the pasta with seafood. My rack of lamb consisted of 3 ribs of perfectly cooked, medium rare lamb, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and a garlicky squash & tomato vegetable sauté that tasted good enough to make me consider becoming a vegetarian. I unashamedly consumed every fabulous morsel on my plate. I refrained from gnawing on the ribs in front of my colleagues, which required considerable restrain. The seafood pasta dish included fresh prawns, mussels & scallops sautéed in garlicky olive oil with herbs and fresh tomatoes. The seafood was fresh, generous and piled on top of a toothy fresh spaghetti pasta. Lone of my colleagues saw the longing in my eye and shared a fat, sweet prawn which was delicious. Round two was fantastic! Lastly came our dessert selections. Two went with the oversized macaroons, which was served with a creamy topping and fresh fruits. They were consumed very quickly, which I took as an indication they were very tasty. Another colleague selected the chocolate layer cake, which was light, moist and came atop a smear of cream and puréed fruit. It looked delicious, but it was a cake. I went with the special tiramisu, served parfait style with fresh berries & cherries and I think some crunchy biscotti crumbs or a better-than-average lady finger. It was without a doubt the best tiramisu I've ever tasted (included those consumed in several trips to Italy!). Our meal, including wine, service charge and tip came to 86€ per person. Definitely worth every penny! Should you find yourself in Cannes, if you are wondering whether or not to give le Marais a try, all I can say is OUI! QUI!!
