I came here hungry and looking for a good meal after being on the road all day. Without a reservation they were able to make room for me at the bar which was much appreciated. The bartender Anna was busy but very pleasant and I was able to order right away. I got the salmon and it was a great choice. It came with wild rice and carrots. The rice was a bit salty for me but I like things on the plain side. The sauce on the fish was delicious and the carrots were good as well. I got the molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. 4 of us went to Rober in Benton over the weekend. We had the bacon flight, that in my opinion is a Must the chocolate pistachio is my favorite one. The whipped feta is very good. Then we shared the hardcore carnivore with sides of fried okra and mac and cheese. It had tenderloin bites, pineapple sausage, lamb chops a ribeye and bone marrow. Then a lemon cake for dessert. My wife and I stopped by on a whim, just looking for somewhere new for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us quickly anyway. The atmosphere is interesting, bit of that renovated warehouse vibe. We were definitely underdressed compared to everyone else, but there was no mention of a dress code, and if it was a problem, they wouldn't have seated us. The server took 10+ minutes to acknowledge us, and said she'd be right back with water. Another 10 minutes and she came to get our order, and said she forgot the water. Probably another 5 minutes and we finally got some. We ordered some drinks and a charcuterie board to split, as we weren't super hungry that evening. The server was a bit condescending that we didn't order entrees, saying "oh no entrees? you just wanted to try us out, I get it!" No lady, we actually just wanted some finger foods and booze. The charcuterie was very good, and worth the price. But we didn't see the server again until we were ready for the check. So, we did not feel very welcome. Hopefully other servers are more friendly to everyone, even if they're not ordering three courses. read more

When I visit Arkansas I am consistently surprised with its fantastic restaurants. Rober is one of those. Great ambience, wonderful food, friendly service. It's elevated, but relatable. The ambiance catches you when you walk in the door. We had a reservation for 4 but where a little early. We were escorted to a 'swank' bar waiting area. We ordered drinks. We were taken to our table right on time with our awesome drinks! Our waiter was the best!! We got the Bacon flight as an appetizer...it is too good to describe. We all had different items and shared. I had surf and turf with a creamy sauce and mashed potatoes. YUM!!! Steak was cooked perfectly! Medium rare My husband had plank salmon, carrots and wild rice. It's so weird stepping into this place - it's just like a high end big city restaurant, but in Benton, AR, population 30k. Food was great, service was great. Sea bass and shrimp/grits dishes were both super tasty. The bacon flight is more like a pork belly flight though, they're thick pieces and fat is more on the rubbery vs melty side. We read all of the reviews and came here expecting an amazing meal. There were some great aspects: the service was good, the drinks were great, and the shrimp appetizer was great. However, I paid $44 for a plate of food (short rib and mashed potatoes ) that was worse than what you would get at Cracker Barrel. At first we were shocked and impressed that it came from the kitchen less than 5 minutes after we ordered it. In hindsight, the fact that it came out so quickly lines up with the idea that we were given something that was not made to order, rather something that had been sitting around. It tasted like pot roast with a sauce that was a mix between canned chili and sloppy Joe sauce. It was about what you would expect at a potluck. I really wanted to love this place and I could normally overlook one bad dish but this dish was too bad to overlook. In my opinion the chef should never have sent that out. read more

We ate here based on a recommendation from some locals. I wish we had been staying closer to here so we could have eaten here more than just once! We started with the Bacon Flight and the Garlic Balsamic dipping oil for the bread. I love bread (who doesn't?!?) and the oil was soooooo good! Only downside is when it was mostly gone, only the pepper flakes were still there so it was a little spicy. As far as the bacon flight, we didn't know what to expect really since it's called bacon, but also referred to as pork belly. It's more like pork belly instead of bacon- unless it's super duper thick cut or something. You're even given scissors to cut it! Surprisingly, the ancho-espresso was my favorite. I honestly would not order it again though because it was mostly fat/fatty and wasn't really edible. We ate what of it we could though. For entrees, we got the surf & turf and the filet. Both were delicious, although the sauce with the surf & turf was a bit much (in richness, not quantity). I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. I am a potato snob and their whipped potatoes were SO good! My only regret is not asking to see if the ancho-espresso seasoning could have been added to my steak. We did get drinks as well and again, no disappointment. I wish I knew our server's name because she was awesome and we loved her and her positivity. If I am ever anywhere near there again, you best believe I will be back! read more

If you like tequila, sweet and spicy, get it! Then had the mushroom and goat cheese appetizer which was not only delicious but huge. Could def share with a whole table. Fantastic every time! We live in Tampa, Florida and visit our relatives in Hot Springs Village during the holidays. This is a must visit place each time we're in town. The food and drinks are absolutely wonderful and stand out above any other restaurant in the area. We always start with the bacon and have had several different entrées and all outstanding. We just moved from CA, and this restaurant would rival any 5 star, right on the coast. Started off with the pork belly appetizer and cocktails in the lounge, I was intrigued by the flavors described in the menu, and they worked so well both drinks, and bacon) The Korean BBQ, was my favorite, and I was surprised how well the chocolate and pistachio worked together! Then onto the dining room, where Jason took great care of us, perfect amount of attention, with recommendations and descriptions to help us choose. We had a few more cocktails from the menu, which were definitely well made. Scallops appetizer was perfectly cooked, nice crust on the outside, and perfect texture throughout. Then came a brown bread, which I expected to be dense, but was more like a pillow soft cloud, with whipped butter to slather. After which, our main course came, we had the surf and turf, and sea bass. The filet could have been cut with a spoon. We typically don't order steak when out, they never cook it better than my husband.... BUT THIS PLACE DID!! Shrimp on top was a perfect pairing, and shrimp was cooked perfectly, with I believe a Parmesan butter sauce (not sure exactly, but let's call it liquid LOVE sauce). The sea bass, with lemon caper sauce was exceptional as well. This meal was for my husband's birthday dinner, and we were NOT disappointed. A gorgeous woman (Heather I think) came and checked on us, I believe she was the owner... whatever she has up her sleeve, in creating this menu, I must say, she's a natural at it. Do yourself a favor, and try the house cocktails listed in the menu. They were all delicious, and certainly not weak. As for the atmosphere; it was comfy in the lounge with leather seats and fabulous service, and the dining room was more modern, sleek with a clean vibe look. I did notice the meat slicer, where they slice for the charcuterie boards, which is a 5 star touch, that I can't wait to try next time. I simply didn't have room in my belly to throw that on the table too. Again, Jason gave perfect service in the dining room. This will absolutely be our new favorite place. read more
