I came in and ordered a burrito and nacho fries. While my food was being prepared, I noticed the employee wasn't wearing gloves and had long acrylic nails. At first, I didn't think too much about it, but later that night I ended up with explosive diarrhea and stomach pain. The only place I ate from that day was here. I've been to this location plenty of times before and have never had an issue -- I always saw staff using gloves and proper food safety practices. This was the first time I saw otherwise, and unfortunately, it showed in the result. I want to start by saying I LOVE the food BUT the shady business practices, not so much. I wish I could post my receipt. I come here a lot. I know Spanish, I just don't speak it. So, that's the background. My first real issue was about a year ago. The kids meal menu has a list of options says the kids meals come with beans, rice and a small drink. So I order the burrito kids meal. No sides, no drink. They proceed to tell me that the beans and rice are inside the burrito, therefore we don't get sides. No amount of pointing to the menu would change their mind. My husband and I had literally the same order, often twice a week but always at least once..the price would change every time! They had a new excuse every time. Last month, I was double charged in my account. It took 3 weeks to get anything done. THEN, yesterday I go, that wS the final straw. I order 2 dinner plates and a small drink. I was given a large cup and when i said i wanted small, she walked off. Then. The 2 dinner plates cost $11.25 each according to their menu. I was charged the lunch plate price of $9.25 plus $2.99 for an ala carte item, which comes up to $12.24. A whole dollar more than the menu price. She legit could not understand that this is theft. It's not legal. And when i aksed for the manager, it tool forever. She did NOT want to give me my receipt at first, but i demanded it. I dont like being like that. I'm not a karen but if you add up all my visits wherenthey are getting and extea $2 to $4 out of me, they owe me hundreds by now! I dont want to stop eating here but if they dont quit screwing folks over, im gonna have to to my due diligence to have it corrected legally. Enough is enough. Finding a good place to eat in a strange town after driving all day can be a challenge even with Yelp. The wife and I eschew eating at national chain fast food, fast casual, and full-service restaurants preferring to find and dine at local gems. Such was the case with us having dinner at Taqueria Queretaro (formerly Taqueria Azteca) on a stormy Tuesday night after stopping in Bryant after a long day on the road. After a quick Yelp search, we picked Taqueria Queretaro since it was close to our hotel and it had received good Yelp reviews for its authentic Mexican fare. It was a seemingly family-owned/operated restaurant with a bright, surprisingly spacious dining room. I had the Taco dinner plate which came with three tacos (I had carne asada and chicken), rice, beans, and chips and salsa all for around $9. I received a generous portion of flavorful, moist, juicy meat on each of my corn tortillas. They were delicious. The beans and rice were good, but the tacos were obviously the stars. The grilled jalapeno pepper was a nice, spicy accompaniment to the plate. I very much enjoyed Taqueria Queretaro. Being a stranger in a strange town, it was everything I hoped to find. Did it break any new ground in the Mexican food and taco arena? Certainly not. However, Taqueria Queretaro offered an authentic, delicious tasting meal at a very reasonable price. Clean, fresh, and good value for the money. When asked, I said 'yes' to cilantro which ended up being cilantro + onion (both uncooked). Since I can't eat uncooked onion, I couldn't take the burrito. They offered to replace at no additional charge, which was great from a service standpoint. The food was ok, a little bland in my opinion, and price was good.
