We waited 45 minutes for part of our food. It finally comes out for two of us but the 3rd member of our party didn't have their food. Waiter never came and checked in on us anytime soon. He finally comes by and I tell him I didn't have my food (just a burrito) and I told him to cancel it. At this point, everyone else was nearly done and we just wanted to leave. They try to bring my food out 20 minutes after the other two people got theirs. Again, waiter didn't seem to care. Food was MID at least. Normally not one to ever complain about a place but today changes that. That was the worst food I've ever had nothing on my plate or my friends plates were cooked all the way. Our server showed up to our table all of two times. It would of been understandable if they were busy but they were not. I wouldn't recommend eating here. This place says it's open until 10pm *every day* (as indicated in the screenshot below), we arrived at 8:40pm. Instead of the staff informing us that they actually close at 9pm when seating us, they sat us down, brought chips, and then the entire staff proceeded to stare at us for 15-20 minutes. No communication with us whatsoever, no drink order, nothing. We had to get up, and go ask all the employees huddled at the host desk if they were in fact closing. The rude waitress/hostess gave us a snarky and attitude filled comment of "yeah we close at 9". We inform them that we can leave, that it was a mistake as their online profile shows they close at 10, and the response was more attitude from Ms. Waitress/Host saying "only on Saturdays & Sundays". Cool. Indicate that on your online presence, and don't give paying customers an attitude. A very rude and unprofessional environment not at all geared toward customer service. read more

Terrible and slow service, watered down "red sauce". It's pretty bad when at 3:00 in the afternoon I'm finally getting lunch and can't even eat the food it's so bad. The waiter never checked on us after getting our food. Husband was without tea most of the meal. We had to retrieve the ticket from the waiter to pay out. The La Huerta by Walmart is way better. I gave La Huerta 2 stars because 1: the people I was with made it more pleasant, and 2: my meal was paid for. Voted "Best Mexican food" in Siloam Springs. Why, is anyone's guess! I ordered the chili verde. The menu (which was sticky from not having been wiped down in long time) stated it was shredded pork in a tomatillo/chili sauce. As I have never had the meat shredded, I was intrigued by the idea.. After having munched on stale chips and canned salsa (it was highly processed and devoid of any fresh ingredients) our meal finally arrived. The pork was in chunks. This is typical for chili verde, but the menu states it comes shredded, so that was a disappointment. Not only chunks, but it was blisteringly hot from having been microwaved. That resulted in the meat being very tough and chewy, not to mention grisly with inedible chunks of fat and skin that needed to be sawed off before trying to take a bite. I opened the foil packet that contained the tortillas, and it had flour instead of corn tortillas. I was never given a choice, but I never use flour tortillas. Suddenly our waiter was no where to be found, so I wandered around the restaurant until I found her. I returned to our table to wait. And wait. And wait. My dinner mates were nearly finished with their meal before my tortillas arrived. By that time, my meal went from ridiculously hot to stone cold. I choked down one before I just gave up. It just wasn't worth it. Besides, the beans and rice were the same uninspired stuff you can get at any run-of-the-mill American Mexican food joint. So now I think I know why this place was voted the best: there's no competition. read more

Stopped here for first time on recent trip to Ark. Service and food were great. They were obviously short handed as most restaurants are these days but manager or maybe owner waited on us. He was doing everything cleaning tables, bartending, as well as being a server. We were very pleased with food , service, and restaurant was very clean. Loved white cheddar they use in dip! Will definitely eat here again when back in Siloam Springs. read more

The "Especial La Huerta" fajitas are the star of this menu. It actually has some chorizo in it along with beef, chicken & shrimp. Really good and consistent. My family and I have been eating here for years. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The chips and dips are great! The chips are warm and fresh and the white queso dip has great consistency, no clumps of cheese or too thick. We eat here 2 -3 times a year and really enjoy it. It is always busy when we go in, yet the service is always great. We sometimes have to wait a few minutes for a table, but the staff work hard at accommodating us as quickly as possible. The atmosphere is family-friendly. The restaurant is small but clean. Price are extremely reasonable. Parking is great too. If you're in the area, I encourage you to stop by for some great fajitas and cheese dip. I've yet to have anything on their menu that wasn't good. No, it's not gourmet Mexican food and it's not Southwestern...it's as authentic as us American's will stand for. Been going here for a good while and for awhile it was pretty good. Then about a month or so ago it started going down hill espeicially at night and when I would order take out. Tonight I had the worst experiance yet.....I ordered three meals for my family and let me tell you friends it didnt go well. At all. I asked to have my chile rellanos covered in queso instead of the red sauce.Had to send them back to get the queso and they just scraped the red sauce off (sorta)and put queso on. All the meals were supposed to come with chalupas and none did. Manager argued with me and described the chalupa as a flatbread with lettuce beans and cheese. What I got was a really crappy tostada. I googled chalupas and it is not a tostada. My advice would be to check your food before you leave if you order out at night. If there was a negative 10 rating I would gladly give that. Will not be spending my money there again for awhile if ever.Taco bell was a better experiance if that tells you anything. read more

I absolutely love La Huerta. The atmosphere, wait staff and food cannot be beat. We usually order Fajitas Jalisco, doesn't get any better than that. If you are watching your waistline, not a great place to be as the chips and salsa are to die for. If you want to indulge, this is the place for you. My family and I go often.
