    Information

This place says it's open until 10pm *every day* (as indicated in the screenshot below), we arrived at 8:40pm. Instead of the staff informing us that they actually close at 9pm when seating us, they sat us down, brought chips, and then the entire staff proceeded to stare at us for 15-20 minutes. No communication with us whatsoever, no drink order, nothing. We had to get up, and go ask all the employees huddled at the host desk if they were in fact closing. The rude waitress/hostess gave us a snarky and attitude filled comment of "yeah we close at 9". We inform them that we can leave, that it was a mistake as their online profile shows they close at 10, and the response was more attitude from Ms. Waitress/Host saying "only on Saturdays & Sundays". Cool. Indicate that on your online presence, and don't give paying customers an attitude. A very rude and unprofessional environment not at all geared toward customer service.

One of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in NWA! Ask for Peter or Chio for the best service.

The service is very good. The food is tasty. We had the Mexican Flag Burrito (Chopped beef filled flour burrito, with red, queso and verde sauce), beans, rice a little Pico de Gallo and a dab of guacamole. No complaints at all about the flavor of the food. The chopped steak in the burrito had several no chew'ems that I had to fish out of my mouth and make them available for a return trip to the kitchen. The other flaw was the food temperature. The food may have been warm when placed on the plate, but the plate was not hot. A big failure. Good Mexican food really needs to be served piping hot and on hot plates. The food here is not TexMex. It is more of a traditional version. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Their specialty seems to be seafood, with many options on the menu. There was a plate of oysters served, that looked quite delicious. Casa Mexico is worth a try. Fair, don't expect to be blown away.

Our server was very pleasant and answered our questions we had about menu items. A basket of thin, warmed chips were served with a mild salsa. The chips were great. I ordered the Burrito Matador lunch special with ground beef, beans, rice, red sauce, sour cream, lettuce and a nice thick slice of tomato. My girlfriend ordered lunch special #1 which was a Chile Relleno, Chicken Taco, beans and Avocado salad. The shredded chicken in the taco was tender and juicy. The portions were generous. For dessert we split a Flan which was very good. Overall it was a positive experience with the exception of the Fabuloso smell and the food was a bit bland. Prepared well however and served hot. We'd visit again.

La Chele 2. Interesting name for a restaurant. For me, it is…read morehard to accurately evaluate ethnic foods if you don't know what the authentic taste, composition or presentation should be. Most of the Central American food that I have had is very lightly seasoned. The foods rely almost solely on the flavors of the vegetables, fruits and meats in the dish with very limited strong spices such as the chili peppers and other spices that stand out in Mexican food. As for La Chele 2. The food is made with fresh ingredients, prepared when you order it. The Arroz con Pollo was as expected, unseasoned or very lightly seasoned. It was simply the flavors of the chicken, mushrooms, onions and cheese. The menu says the chicken was cooked in a special salsa. It may have been, if so, it was very mild. After a couple of bites, my wife who seldom eats hot sauce, was reaching for the bottle to flavor up her plate. The portions were large, the food hot and fresh! A few minutes after my wife was served, my Pollo Guisado (Salvadorean style chicken pot roast) arrived at the table. I immediately asked for the house made salsa picante. This dish (recommended by the owner) had chicken thighs and all the vegetables you would expect in a pot roast and a few more: carrots, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, and potatoes. The house salsa picante really helped. The black beans were excellent! The sauce with the Pollo Guisado was very rich. Made that way from the fat rendered from the stewed chicken during cooking or possibly added oil or butter. The broth had a distinct yellow color with the noticeable taste of chicken flavoring added. A delicious, rich meal. Both meals were served with thick house made corn tortillas. I could have made a meal of the tortillas, black beans and the house salsa picante. La Chele 2 is located in a modest, repurposed suite in a declining strip mall just north of Hwy 412 on Mt Olive St. Order and pay at the counter. A mom-and-pop operation with limited service. They do a lot of take-out business. They have a fair-sized menu. If you are not a Salvadorian food expert, check the menu here before you go. It will save you some time! The Salvadorian cuisine will unlikely be my favorite As for La Chele 2, the freshness of the food and the large portions made it worth trying. I liked it.

Best taqueria we've eaten at collectively in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas (where we live). I love breakfast burritos. It's literally my favorite food of all time. I saw it hiding on the menu in the very back and decided to go for it. I asked for their green salsa to be added inside the burrito too. The egg to meat ratio was perfect, the potatoes were crunchy, it was texturally ethereal with a massive flavor bomb. My wife's quesabirria tacos were also exceptional.
