I have specifically been looking for a place with great menudo and I have found it. I ordered the small menudo - it was enough to eat twice, and guacamole with chips. The chips are home made as are the tortillas. I was transcended back to Mexico where we would get tortillas from the ladies at the tortilleria. This menudo is definitely not from a can. It is brothy, deep in chili flavor, and they are not greedy with the tripe. They also have a spicy salsa you can request of you're like me and like it to burn twice. ;) This will be my go-to Mexican taqueria. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally made it. I came in around 2pm, an odd time and there was only one other person and only 2 staff. the place can hold quite a few people and is clean and well organized. I was greeted quickly with chips and salsa and took my order. The salsa is very watery but the flavor was ok. I wanted to try a few things so I got a steak taco, a quesadilla and a steak taco quesabirria. Both taco's were very good, great flavor and the inside of the quesadilla was very good but I didn't care for the shell very much, a little doughy. Service was good and price was very fair. Another taqueria for the books! Taqueria Real Jacona is located in Rogers- it seems like they have another location in Bentonville as well. We came in for lunch and the place was empty. We were greeted and given chips and salsa. I thought the salsa looked a little too runny, but it was tasty and had a nice kick to it. I tried the al pastor and carnitas tacos ($1.75 each). These were probably the cheapest tacos I've had in the area. The meat was not impressive. I thought it was dry and maybe a little burnt. I liked that they came with caramelized onions, radishes and a jalapeño, which I thought was pretty unique to most of the taquerias in the area. They had a red and a green hot sauce. The red one looked super spicy- I didn't try it but the green had a nice kick and was tasty. They also had a variety of packaged hot sauce. I loved all the options! My friends got quesadillas, burritos, and gorditas. Everyone seemed really happy with their choices. The gorditas were massive- you might only need 1 for lunch and they're CHEAP- they could use a little more meat though. Service was a little slow. The place is small but cozy. They have plenty of sauce to choose From, there are also two different types of salsa, but you will have to request from the host. The food serving is more than adequate. However the chips were a little bit oily, but we'll seasoned. This could be sure to the fact that they do fry it when needed and needs to be aired. The goat plate came with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. It needs to be a little savory but there are a lot of confinements on the table to mask the taste. The burrito was just average. The gordita was good. It has enough spice and cheese balance. The dessert was also delightful. The flan on the chocolate cake was rich and creamy and the cake was moist. Stopped in for lunch, our first time at this restaurant. A clean, bright restaurant located in a small retail strip that serves authentic Mexican dishes. Service was prompt, helpful and attentive. The chips and salsa were good and typical with the salsa made in house. The guacamole was outstanding, I'd highly recommend ordering. My wife had three tacos al la cartel and I had their carnitas plate. All very flavorful and excellent. Additionally there was two squeeze bottles of sauce that accompanied the food, a green salsa verde and a red arbol chili salsa, both excellent! The only thing missing was an offering of unsweetened or sweet tea, it was either water, sofa, juices, custom made drinks, beer or mixed drinks (margaritas, etc).
