Hard on the bottom, flaky and dry biscuit.

Hugh Disappointment! At one point, this restaurant had a 4.6 star rating. And it's now down to 4.0. What's happening? Let me start off by letting you know that service here was good. The ambience is casual, cute, and comfortable. But the food has changed. The first few times I've been here the Homemade comfort food was Great. This time my scrambled eggs look like they exploded, there was bits and pieces instead of just scrambled (see picture) My two over easy eggs were hard cooked around the yolks. It's as if the cook doesn't cook eggs often. My bacon was burned and I didn't even ask for crispy (See Picture) My milk gravy was good, but my biscuit was hard on the bottom and most of the biscuit on the inside was flaky and dry. (See picture) My hash browns were not crispy on the top outside and soft on the inside. Some shreds were soft and others were a little chewy. I just Can't explain what happened to my breakfast. And my belgium waffle wasn't bad, it just wasn't hot this time. My table room temperatured butter just sat on the top and didn't even melt a little. SHM. Although, my coffee was perfect! I hope next time I return here for breakfast, I have a more enjoyable experience as I did the first few times. 5 stars for service and my coffee

I went back today after 2 years. My rating still stands at a 3. I went on a Wednesday at noon so it was pretty busy. However once ordered it came out pretty quickly. Eggs were good. Sausage was a bit burnt and oily tasting. Hashbrowns also burnt for part of it but good for the rest. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good.

We stopped here because the parking lot is always full and we just knew we'd been missing out. It started out good with the green fried tomatoes although the sauce was lacking flavor. My sister and I both had fries with our entrée... they weren't hot. We only ate one each. She loves reuben sandwiches. Hers was dripping with oil. My catfish was just ok. The Best of the 3 meals was hubby's breakfast so maybe if you go, order breakfast. So if you go maybe stick with breakfast.

Stopped here for some breakfast on our way to Oklahoma. It was very busy on a Sunday morning but we didn't have to wait long. Food was great, especially the French toast. Service was a little lackluster but sufficient. Prices were good. Small town charm.

Cathy's Corner is back to it's pre COVID standards. Great food and great service. Stopped in for breakfast today. Walked in the door was greeted with a smile and told to seat ourselves. Within a minute of being seated we had menus in front of us and our drinks order taken. Coffee was good, hot and our mugs were never allowed to get empty and about five minutes we got there they were on a wait. This time had the Country Omelet, which was very good. Vegetables were nicely sautéed to the point where they were soft but not mushy. Had the biscuits and gravy instead of the toast. The biscuit was excellent and there was plenty of well seasoned gravy to go with it. Serving was so big I couldn't finish.

Two pups in tow, tails waggin' like they'd just heard supper bell ring twice, we found ourselves settlin' onto Broad Street, perched on one of those old brick corners that looks like it's seen more stories than a church pew on revival Sunday. Locals out front welcomed us the way small towns always should -- friendly, opinionated, and quick with recommendations. "Biscuits and gravy," they said with the confidence of folks who don't recommend lightly and definitely don't apologize for gravy. Outdoor seating sits right on that historic downtown bend, the kind of spot where time slows down and conversations meander like a creek after spring rain. Pet friendly? Friend, they didn't just tolerate the pups -- the staff made rounds like a county fair judge inspectin' prized livestock, offering scratches, compliments, and a few heartfelt dog discussions that ran deeper than most city council meetings. Now let's discuss the tea and coffee situation, because this is where I knew we'd struck honest ground. I overheard a first-day trainee (doing better than most third-year professionals, mind you) being instructed in the sacred ratios of a proper cappuccino: 2 oz espresso, 2 oz steamed milk, 2 oz foam. Praise be to the saints of crema and microfoam -- somebody in these hills still understands a cappuccino is not meant to arrive in a vessel large enough to baptize a raccoon. No vat-o-latte foolishness here. Food arrived quicker than gossip spreads at a quilting circle, and mercy... it did not disappoint. The breakfast biscuit sandwich stood tall and proud like a well-built fence post -- sturdy, dependable, and doing exactly what a biscuit sandwich ought to do. The biscuits and sausage gravy? Smooth as a fiddle tune drifting across foggy ridgelines. Balanced, rich, and comforting enough to make a grown man reconsider his afternoon productivity. I did briefly flirt with the open-faced avocado toast -- looked respectable, like it had spent time reading labels at Whole Foods -- but I stayed loyal to the biscuits and gravy. Some decisions are guided not by curiosity but by heritage. And then... chocolate gravy appeared on the menu. Friends, chocolate gravy is one of those old Appalachian traditions that feels like it was discovered accidentally during a blizzard and then protected like family lore ever since. Sweet, warm, nostalgic, and just rebellious enough to make nutritionists squint suspiciously. Cafe On Broad feels like the culinary equivalent of finding a front porch rocker that fits just right -- welcoming, unpretentious, and quietly confident in what it does well. If you find yourself wanderin' through Siloam Springs with a little time and a healthy appetite, pull in slow, bring the dogs, and order something with gravy. Preferably more than one gravy. It's what the mountains would want.

Examples: Even though we were obvious college football fans (wearing jerseys!), they seated us at a stuck-in-the-corner booth where all TVs were hard to see and some were impossible, in the completely-empty restaurant. There a hand-full of GREAT college football games going on at the time; their TVs were showing just one game on almost every TV (and it wasn't Arkansas). We requested a couple of other games, and it was like putting them on was extremely difficult. Also, everyone's beers were flat. Not totally flat, but well on the way to it. Everything took a long time. And nobody ever asked if we'd like another drink. It wasn't all bad. My chicken nachos were really good, and I would order them again. My wife said her Southwest Egg Rolls were good (but not as good as Chili's). My dark beer had really good taste (in spite of being flat). I'm generously giving 4 stars because it's a little unfair to judge a place called Big Whiskey's without drinking any whiskey. I hope they make it. This place has a lot of potential, it just needs better management.

It's been sliding down hill... I've been going much less frequently.... Past experiences with the new owners in charge included ribs that were so burnt there was no meat left (how do you not notice and send them home with a customer??)... sandwiches that had almost no meat... and the list of pathetically bad food goes on... but I was optimistic- I kept going back.... after all at least the desserts were good! But the last visit was the last straw!! Today I had inedible bread pudding. It was horrible, horrible I repeat horrible!! Seriously NOT edible. It made me ill. It had WAY too much cinnamon. My mouth still burns 2 hours later.. my throat is still burning with cinnamon! My stomach is upset as I stupidly swallowed a bite! It was hard. It was nasty. It was disgusting. I was so disappointed. I've never had that bad of bread pudding, ever in my life. I love bread pudding. This place used to have fabulous bread pudding!! I would have said top 5 bread puddings... I miss those days! I've never seen it this deserted. No one is eating there and now I understand why! It's disgusting. Don't go, just don't go. There may be something there that's good (my entree today was fine - not special but ok) but chances are something that you get will be horrible! So why waste your money to go to one of the more expensive restaurants in this whole area. Just don't do it. Save yourself time, energy and disgusting food that will make you feel ill! Oh... and if you call to tell them... (I'd like to give THEM feedback so they can improve) they might say they're too busy to talk now (how? The place is empty?!). Oh, but wait A they say it's not empty - it's seasonally slow. LOL! Too funny as the last owners never had a slow week let alone a slow season! I feel bad for the former owners!! Many people might not know they sold it... these new people have zero quality control!! I have a feeling they won't be open long... the lines of people waiting to eat here are gone... the tables are empty - even during lunch "rush"! Send up the white flag and die peacefully!! TLDR - food sucks! Don't go!
