Hidden gem, you need to try it! Friendly staff and you will see locals here, local food and local favorites. Not disappointed at all. Juices are good and refreshing with fresh ingredients! I'm not a coffee drinker, but it smelled good lol. Good was great.

We went to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered mango juice, calamari, and 2 fish entrees. The mango juice was so fresh and delicious! The calamari was good too. The fish entrees could be better though. We originally wanted a whole fried fish (which was on their menu) but they said they only had fish fillets. So instead, I ordered the fish fillet in tomato sauce - it tasted like it came from a can. My boyfriend had mangoes on top of his fish fillet which was surprisingly good!

'Anti-flu' juice on the menu! Just the thing when you've got a cold on vaca

I'm not sure how many times my husband and I came here when we were in Isla Holbox, but it was a huge number.

I suspect there may have been a management or ownership change since the videos we saw, as the experience felt a little different than expected, but the team there is working hard. When we arrived with our party of 8, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff who did a great job accommodating our large group. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag, but there are definitely some highlights: Garlic Shrimp: This was absolutely on point. I honestly should have ordered a second plate, but I didn't want to be greedy! Rasta Pasta: Packed with flavor and a solid choice. Jerk Chicken: The star of the show. I could have easily just eaten this for my entire meal. Oxtail: This was a bit of a disappointment; it had good flavor, but the meat was tough rather than falling off the bone. We did have a few hiccups with dishes taking a while to come out, but the owner came over to apologize and personally explained that they were understaffed due to some last-minute call-outs. She was a very nice lady, and we were totally understanding of the situation. If you decide to give them a try, I would 100% recommend starting with the garlic shrimp and going for the Rasta pasta with the jerk chicken. We appreciated the hospitality and the effort the team put into making our large group feel welcome!

We had 7 people in our group for dinner, they came to the place we were staying in Isla and it was a great evening with good food and music! They started us with margaritas and appetizers. Dinner was salad with Javi's very tasty salad dressing, stir-fried rice (Javi's special recipe), grilled vegetables, shrimp and arrachera beef kabobs. While we were enjoying our dinner Javi played guitar and sang for us and Marla sang a few songs too! Then we ended off the night with Marla's dessert, baked croissant with cream cheese and fresh strawberries. They made quite a special evening for us and all really enjoyed it. I would recommend this to anyone that is staying on Isla and wants a wonderful dining experience!

Review for pez dorado…read more The was quite the surprising little restaurant. We found this place while on the hunt for food on 10th Avenue. It is located on 10th and 24th and is alluring because of the 4 course menu option for 200 pesos per person. The chief greeted us at the entrance and explain the menu in Spanish but was polite enough to repeat himself in English with explained that we don't speak Spanish. He also did not push us to come in side and eat. He stepped away to let us think and then thanked us for choosing his restaurant. He introduced us to our server and advised he'd be the one cooking our food. We were a little confused by the menu and had the server explain it to us once more. I had ceviche, artichoke and avocado salad, mango chicken with rice and beans, and coconut ice cream. My wife had ceviche, Balsamic salad, mahi-mahi with Mac n cheese, and lemon ice cream. The meal on both ends was delicious, service and atmosphere was awesome, and the price was just right! We wish we could come back soon but recommend this place! It's a must try
