What amazing flavorful food! Even my toddler devoured the chicken and the curry. Comfort food, felt like home amongst the playa chaos. A very simple sit down place. They have good seating inside and outside. Service was a bit slow but it was all worth the wait. Must must must try if you are in the PDC area!

So many tacos last few days. Wanted to try something new.. Read good reviews about this place so gave it a try. I was happy to see that this place had nice indoor sitting with AC . Ordered some jerked chicken, fried chicken, ribs, with side of mash potatoes and corn. Wish they had a combo pack so i didnt have to make 3 different orders.. . Well jerked chicken was pretty dang good. So full of flavor and moist chicken. It said spicy but it was not spicy at all. Fried chicken was also pretty dang good. Nice crispy outside skin and juicy and moist chicken inside.. The ribs were also pretty darn tasty. Almost fall of the bone and tender. Not too dry and seasoned lightly. It came with some dipping sauce I couldn't figure out the seasoning.. It was on the little sweet side but tasted good. Mashed potato was nice and creamy. Corn on the other hand tasted like it was boiled and grilled at the end. Over all food was very tasty.. Definitely would come here again. Price was not too bad.. Not super expensive but not cheap.

Not sure if they switched location but I went to the one off 10 Avenida. Location: right off the street across from sports field Staff: beyond helpful and friendly Taste: not getting picture should say it all. I got the Jamaican chicken and it was delish! Had a kick of spice. Also had French fries, Mac and cheese and corn. Everything was delish. Parking: none Price: average

This is the most craveable fried and jerk chicken I've ever eaten. It puts Popeyes and KFC to shame. We came all the way to Playa del Carmen to eat tacos, and instead all we wanted to eat was this friggin chicken. !! The sides and the chicken were so incredibly seasoned and so hot and fresh it just blew my mind. Whether it's pronounced Far-ROONS or Feroooons... this chicken was dynamite Sad it's not available in lame ass Colorado !! But it made our trip(which was a birthday trip, a memorable and nostalgic memory. Eat this chicken !!! Chicken bock bock goodness!!!

In Playa del Carmen, Mexico and spotted a sign "Ferron's Jerk Chicken: Jamaican Style". After getting dropped off by the beach, we walked back a few blocks to try the food at Ferron's. Absolutely, not disappointed! I don't think I have ever had as fresh a garlic bread/roll as I did here. Because I don't eat meat I asked my wife who is a connoisseur of jerk chicken what she thought. She said the "jerk chicken was authentic, well-seasoned, and moist!" I thoroughly enjoyed the seasoned fries and roasted corn. Will return here the next visit to Cancún.

The chicken was out of this world juicy!! The food here was not expected to be spectacular and I kept passing it by. I kept saying oh it is just chicken but I was totally wrong! Best chicken ever! Flavors are deep and oozing with juice! Service as always, spectacular in Mexico. Ambiance is an open and dated joint but you will not care after getting that jerk chicken in your mouth!

Incredible execution on both the chicken and ribs. It's rare to find a place that does both so well. The chicken was juicy and tender, especially impressive for chicken breast. The jerk seasoning is strong, herbaceous, and harmoniously balanced. The ribs were tender, but also very juicy. They were not overcooked or dry in the least. And yet they were not too fatty. The order had just the right balance of greasy meatiness. I didn't need sauce for either of these meats. This is a powerful testament.

Go, but don't expect authentic Jamaican. This is "Jamaican Style". Although the jerk chicken for 2 was flavorful and even the breast was tender, the sides were ok. Service was great and attentive! I'd go back for the chicken and take to go. Pair it with something else. Empanadas were ok. Filling of chicken and cheese curry was good. I wasn't expecting the crust to feel like a deep fried corn tortilla. Didn't take a pic but you could buy one and share with another person to see if you like first.

This is not a Jamaican restaurant!!!!

Smh I waited another year to give it another try and it failed miserably.. as A Jamaican foodie.. there is NO jerk chicken.. just a smoked type of chicken.. and mashed potatoes I received was of a melted cheese sauce consistency. A complete joke. And to anyone that disagrees has never truly had a taste of jerk chicken. This was not even close. The rice and peas were pitiful.. clearly the place is only interested in money not not quality. The only good this is the French fries. A complete joke.

I suspect there may have been a management or ownership change since the videos we saw, as the experience felt a little different than expected, but the team there is working hard. When we arrived with our party of 8, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff who did a great job accommodating our large group. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag, but there are definitely some highlights: Garlic Shrimp: This was absolutely on point. I honestly should have ordered a second plate, but I didn't want to be greedy! Rasta Pasta: Packed with flavor and a solid choice. Jerk Chicken: The star of the show. I could have easily just eaten this for my entire meal. Oxtail: This was a bit of a disappointment; it had good flavor, but the meat was tough rather than falling off the bone. We did have a few hiccups with dishes taking a while to come out, but the owner came over to apologize and personally explained that they were understaffed due to some last-minute call-outs. She was a very nice lady, and we were totally understanding of the situation. If you decide to give them a try, I would 100% recommend starting with the garlic shrimp and going for the Rasta pasta with the jerk chicken. We appreciated the hospitality and the effort the team put into making our large group feel welcome!

It is located on 10th and 24th and is alluring because of the 4 course menu option for 200 pesos per person. The chief greeted us at the entrance and explain the menu in Spanish but was polite enough to repeat himself in English with explained that we don't speak Spanish. He also did not push us to come in side and eat. He stepped away to let us think and then thanked us for choosing his restaurant. He introduced us to our server and advised he'd be the one cooking our food. We were a little confused by the menu and had the server explain it to us once more. I had ceviche, artichoke and avocado salad, mango chicken with rice and beans, and coconut ice cream. My wife had ceviche, Balsamic salad, mahi-mahi with Mac n cheese, and lemon ice cream. The meal on both ends was delicious, service and atmosphere was awesome, and the price was just right! We wish we could come back soon but recommend this place! It's a must try

A Refreshing Change of Pace with Friendly Vibes and Live Music…read more If you're looking to take a break from your usual go-to taco and Mexican spots, this place offers a nice variety with its Cuban-inspired menu. I'm a big fan of tacos, but every now and then, it's great to mix things up--and this spot gave me that change of pace I was looking for. I especially appreciated the inclusion of rice and beans, which I've been missing lately. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. It wasn't a busy night, so we ended up getting to enjoy the live music almost like a private show. That part really stood out--the band brought a warm energy to the room, and it made the whole evening feel more intimate and memorable. The service was genuinely great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and took time to explain that the menu was Cuban-inspired, which was a good heads-up. That explained some of the differences in flavor and presentation, and helped manage expectations about what ingredients or sides might be missing compared to more traditional Latin or Caribbean places. One thing I wasn't a huge fan of, though, was having to order everything à la carte. For example, when I ordered the pork, the rice and beans weren't included--they were separate add-ons. It felt a little disjointed, and I would have preferred if those staples came as part of the dish. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's something to keep in mind if you're expecting a full plate. As for the food itself--it was solid. I had the Delicias de Queso, which were flavorful and satisfying, with a nice texture and taste. The pork was also seasoned well and tender. Everything came out hot and well-prepared, and you can tell there's care in the kitchen. That said, nothing completely blew me away, but it all hit the spot. The mojito was probably the low point of the evening for me. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't have that fresh, crisp pop that you expect in a great mojito. Maybe it just needed more mint or lime--something to give it that brightness. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was enjoyable, the live music added something special, and the service was top-notch. While I didn't love the à la carte pricing and the drink could have been better, I'd still recommend giving this place a try if you're in the mood for something different and easygoing. It's a solid spot for a laid-back night out with some good vibes.
