One of my wife's favorite things to do is rent golf carts and cruise up and down the coast line. It brings her so much joy , I t's almost become an inside joke for our family and by far her favorite place to rent from is La Jolla golf carts. I believe it was $120 something for the first hour and then $20 an hour after that and for the number of smiles I saw on my wife's face, it was worth it's weight in gold. From a customer service angle, the cart was cleaned up and ready upon arrival, the staff was friendly and answered every question we had, even gave us tips to buy our own which is something we are looking to do. We also have a disabled daughter and the fact that we were able to bring her car seat and lock it in so she could go with us, made a trip that much cooler. Literally, our entire family, including our nanny, went and had a great time. Whether you are visiting San Diego, or live here like we do, this is an absolutely fun way to spend an afternoon. I bought a golf cart from them. It was around $15,000 I had paid them Cash. The sales guys were great nice guys. The cart had problems every time I drove it it broke. They would have to pick it up. Try and fix it. Bring it back still broke. I think they put three new batteries in it they said. Service guy was great nice guy he kept trying. He just could not figure it out. Then I had the displeasure of talking to the owner Robert over the phone who is rude, smug, and confrontational. We ended up striking a deal where he bought the cart back at a $4000 loss for me. I lost 4000 bucks to have a cart that never worked properly I would not recommend doing business with Robert. I see he has pretty high reviews unfortunately that was not my experience with Robert the owner. His workers seemed really great. read more

I live in Carlabad. I had a sidewall puncture in one tire and had to have them come up and install a new tire and rim. The took back the damaged tire and rim and returned it to me. When they returned they rotated the tires putting the best two in front leaving an extra tire and rim as a spare. In this process they found both front wheel bearings loose and tightened them. They also checked the brakes and adjusted the tire pressures. I could not have asked for better service at a very reasonable price. We were walking along La Jolla to look at sea lions when we spotted the golf cart on the corner of Coast & Girard. My bf called the number on the back of the golf cart and Robert was super friendly and extremely fast in coming to give us the keys and showing us how to drive the golf cart. We had a wonderful experience with LJGC. Called first thing Tuesday morning and spoke with Francesca who confirmed availability for a 6 person golf cart. When we arrived we were greeted by incredibly friendly and informative customer service. Francesca gave us the rundown on town and gave us directions and a thumbs up on our dog friendly brunch choice. We were directed to our cart which was freshly sanitized while we waited. The cart was equipped with a lcd screen, Bluetooth speakers, and was a breeze to drive. We had a great time and felt that we received good value on our rental. Have you ever had the company that rents you ANYTHING... call a restaurant to make a reservation for you?!? I think that's a resounding no. Robert, you are exceptional. Clean golf carts. Friendly service. We called 30 minutes prior to our last minute adventure (I don't recommend that just in case they are sold out...but hey... sometimes you gotta live on the edge.) After a quick call, Robert had us all situated and laser focused on a great day of social distancing, with a lunch reservation and smiles on our faces. (6.5 hour intermission of golf cartin' it up) ... ok... returned the cart and... there's something to be said about being told to return the cart at sunset. Of course I was curious... and asked what time Sunset is... and he said "7:56pm". Siri agreed. You can not visit La Jolla Village and not rent a Golf Cart from these guys! We took our golf cart from Windansea to La Jolla Shores, stopped for lunch, shopping and took too many photos! The cart gave us access to the beach areas that we would not have had if we drove a car or took an Uber. It is a great feeling to buzz along the coast with the open air of the ocean in these carts. My husband and I got married last Friday in La Jolla and wanted to rent a golf cart to make it fun and easy to get around for taking pictures and getting to our reception location. Robert made everything so easy for us. He brought the cart to our hotel the night before so my mom and I could decorate it, then picked it up to have it charge overnight and brought it to our ceremony location the next day. He even helped out by attaching the custom wedding cans my husband made for it. Everyone around the town loved seeing us driving around in our wedding attire, it made our day so much more special. We wanted it for Saturday as well, so he picked it up from us Friday night at our hotel, charged it and brought it back to us the next morning to keep all day. Robert was very disrespectful, rude, sexist, and misogynistic. I came to La Jolla California with my girlfriends for our spring break trip. We thought it would be a fun and efficient way to get a golf cart for getting around for the week. After the first night we all got notifications on our phones that an airtag had been detected traveling with us. Being 6 younger, vulnerable girls in a new state, we were nervous with this notification. We called the non emergency hotline and had a police officer come talk to us and look at the airtag. The police officer took it out of the vehicle and disabled it and advised us to go to the store the next morning to confront them. Not only when we went to the place in the morning did the other employees not know about the airtag, but the owner was very disrespectful and rude. When Robert came over to talk to us he was more than disrespectful. He was being sexist to us by saying "do you really think that one of your boyfriends placed one on the golf cart to track you" and "do you really think we weren't going to track this golf cart." When we responded kindly by saying that we just were worried and wanted to make sure we were safe because no where was there a place saying they're was a tracking device in the contract. It is unlawful according to the california state law to place a tracking device with anyone without knowledge of it first. With Robert even saying that they're is no where on the contract saying they're is a tracking device on the golf carts, it is disrespectful. I will never recommend this place to any one and I don't think anyone should ever use this place unless they want a golf cart that dies within an hour of driving it, a golf cart that you can't drive under the battery of 50% or else it breaks, and a disgusting little man that will attack you for being a girl. I can not believe this man and how horrible he was. I wish him nothing but an awful business because he deserves that. read more

My experience with working with this team has been incredible. Two years ago I went and test drove one and decided not to pull the trigger... They left a good impression on me so two years later I went back and was able to close the deal. I did purchase a pre-owned (slightly) golf cart and they gave me a great deal. Not only that, they have been great in regards to service and upkeep and questions that I have... and their staff is extremely hospitable.
