Friendly staffs, beautiful display case with names and prices easy to see. There are seats, could be tiny bit tight, but traffic is nonstop. We got the salted egg mini cake with pork floss, and the longan jasmin mini cake. Highly recommend the longan cake - light, airy, not too sweet. The salted egg mini cake, hint hint from the name is salty - way more than I like and felt off balance where any sweetness from the cake didnt come through. Still I would recommend trying everything from this shop as they've perfected beautifying how each item is displayed and I will return again to try other items.

Stopped in for a bite and got a sandwich and a croissant because on Wednesday they had a BOGO 50% off offer. The coconut croissant was really nice and the sandwich was great. I ordered it spicy but it was pretty mild. I am excited to come back and try more of the menu.

I've gone here twice now, and I love the selection of mini cakes! I haven't gotten to try the drinks yet but the cakes are a must try especially for people looking for specific Asian flavours like pandan and durian! I must say the seats are usually completely taken when I arrive, so come early

This is a Vietnamese cafe/bakery.They make excellent Vietnamese teas/coffees, pastries, and cakes. This latest location is now considered their flagship location. It is in Toronto's downtown core. They opened this after opening one in Vietnam. They brought back to Canada the newest versions and enhanced all their existing offerings with enhanced/more ingredients and made them more visually appealing. I ordered the following: 1. Taro Lava Bun ($5.25). 2. Durian Iced Coffee (iced $8.25). 3. Banana Peanut Butter Latte (hot $6.50). 4. Pistachio Raspberry Cake Box ($12.75). The bun has tasty taro cream inside. So delicious. The Durian Iced Coffee had a good amount of fresh durian meat on top of pandan foam; a great taste combination! You need to eat the durian with a fork or spoon! The Banana Peanut Butter Latte was amazing, with some many different ingredients. The flavour mixture worked well together. I could tell the banana mixture and the peanut butter were fresh; there were even little pieces of crushed peanuts. The Cake Box was so pretty and vibrant with a 3D look. I will eat this later. There is free self-serve water. They also sell merch: tote bags, hat, tumbler, mug. There are merchandise from Vietnam: jams, coffee, and tea. The store is their biggest stores with adequate seating. The interior is modern and minimalist, with a few whimsical stickers on the walls. There is easy-listening Vietnamese music playing in the background. They even have a floor to ceiling selfie mirror! There is free WiFi. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. There are two gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible, but without door-open buttons. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-249

Cute little place. Pretty interesting menu. Great customer service. The menu is Asian inspired with the Pandan, Dorian, and sticky rice options. They also serve Bahn Mi sandwiches. The ham and cheese croissant had a surprising cream cheese filling. Even though it was sweet, it actually was pretty good landing into that salty sweet flavor. The jasmine Matcha latte was really good. Very interesting combination that I have to try back home. I don't think adding the sticky rice to a bun was such a good idea.

La La Bakeshop located along Bay St. near Gerrard is a Vietnamese-inspired bakery. They actually have another shop in Scarborough, one in Waterloo, another in NYC and then lastly in Ho Chi Min, Vietnam. Their first ever location was originally located in the Annex along Bloor, however, that location is now closed with the Bay St. location being their Toronto flagship store. Having been to La La Bakeshop may times before, their new Toronto cafe is a great addition to their existing stores. Now customers can enjoy a sit down experience, enjoying their freshly made to order coffee and beverage creations and desserts. On their drink list they have offerings like durian iced coffee, banana peanut butter latte, the classic Vietnamese iced coffee, tangerine jasmine cold brew, raspberry pistachio cold foam, longan jasmine milk tea, a banana salted caramel matcha latte as well as your usual classic espresso based drinks. The drink menu is impressive and you can keep trying new things on the menu if want to be adventurous. Food wise, the cafe has a variety of sweet and savoury croissants (pistachio, durian, butter garlic, salted egg, egg and cheese, etc) as well as lava buns. For cakes they have your traditional circular cakes but also their cake boxes are popular as well (think longan jasmine, tangerine jasmine, durian, coconut pandan sticky rice, matcha pandan tiramisu...). So many unique Asian inspired flavours! The cafe space is bright and beautifully designed. There are smaller tables, larger rectangular tables, as well as a communal table when you enter the cafe. There is wifi available and you are free to use your laptop to work or study there during the day. I stopped by La La Bakeshop twice already since they opened on Nov 30th! First time I stopped by on their opening day in the afternoon and the cafe was packed. Many people were enjoying their beverages as well as treats. I was able to get a cake box as well as a croissant to go as well as chatted with one of the co-owners, Brian. The second time I went shortly after 8am for breakfast where I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee with pandan foam and a salted egg croissant. The iced coffee was great with the delicious pandan foam. Going early in the morning was nice and peaceful as well since the cafe wasn't crowded at all. Always love the treats at La La Bakeshop and my favourites has to be the garlic cream cheese bun, coconut pandan sticky rice, the matcha pandan tiramisu, and....hopefully they will bring back the banh mi croissant (was at their now closed Annex location before). I also heard that they will be bringing their banh mis back soon!! Service wise, the staff are friendly and always smiling, working hard to make sure all the customers are satisfied. They are all still trying to get the hang of things so it may take a few minutes for your drink to be made, but other than that they are nice and friendly! Overall, a beautiful addition to the Bay/Gerrard area for Vietnamese-inspired goodies! Can't wait to be back to try more drinks as well as baked goods.

The food was fantastic! Unique flavors, amazing texture, and aesthetically pleasing presentation. The service was very good as the workers were kind and accommodating. The atmosphere is nice, but very crowded, a little small, and minimal seats. I would come here to work or read, though.

Beautifully artistic cakes and pastries. Got the longan jasmin and durian mini cakes - both were light and delicate, though I preferred the stronger and more differentiated flavour of the durian. Bonus points for how elegant the space is.

Flew out here to explore the city and stumbled upon this place via socials. Definitely recommend. It's a nice place for those who want to study or even people watch out the window. Dessert was DELICIOUS! Definitely coming back when I'm out here.

The cakes and pastries are gorgeous and aesthetic. The tangerine cake was okay for me. I have to try more of the menu to be honest. The Lala Latte is amazing. The regular latte was meh. Service was fine. The interior and seating area is nice. It does get busy for them and there are students studying since its near U of T. So can be hard to find seating.

I love ginger beverages- it wasn't overpowering here, I mostly tasted the kiwi and sparkling lemonade. It was busy in there but we still got our orders and drinks quickly, I appreciate how fast the service was. My friend got one of their banana bread drinks - if you like the taste of hojicha, this was particularly strong which I personally enjoyed! Love how the store also has sections where it is like a little market selling local goods and always fun to see the dogs that are sitting outside. The prices are a little expensive (my refresher before tax was $7.5) but typical for what you'd pay in Toronto for a fun drink, from what I've seen.

I'd absolutely come here to get some work done if I was able to get a seat. One thing I really love is that they sell handmade goods from local artists and host craft nights, it feels very community driven and adds such a fun, unique touch to the café. Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. They're known for their creative, seasonal drink menu, and I'm already excited to come back to try what they release next season. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.

The space itself has a really niche aesthetic and I especially loved the unique window design. I arrived around 10 a.m. and the café was busy but not overwhelming, with a steady flow of people coming and going. I ordered one of their winter specials: an iced matcha with black sesame foam. It was pricey at $10, but honestly one of the best I've ever had. They instruct you to sip the foam first before mixing, and the flavours were bold with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was incredible. They actually brought my drink over, which I wasn't expecting, and when we were done they came by with water and cleared our empty cups. Such a pleasant surprise! All in all, highly recommend this spot. I would come by all the time if I lived nearby.

This coffee shop is nestled semi-behind a pillar beside the lobby of the Intercontinental hotel Toronto, which adds to its charm for me, in a way. Love finding a good "hole in the wall" :) I love the bright, feminine, beachy decor and coral pink & aqua blue accents. It's not too tropical, but it definitely transports you outside of Canada. Coupled with Aussie staples like vegemite and Noosa magazines (takes me straight back there!), as well as gorgeous ceramic coffee mugs for purchase, the vibes are great here. While it is a smaller shop, there is enough seating for 3 tables, and it's very cozy. Had to go for a flat white, given the Aussie homage here. This one got my approval (and I'm picky about my flat whites) - they used a lighter, more balanced espresso roast, paired with just the right amount of creamy frothed milk. They also had a banana bread latte that my companion really enjoyed too! Looking forward to my next visit!

It's a tiny, cozy place with only a couple tables and tall chairs, so they can really only accommodate grab-and-go orders, other than a few people to sit or work. Perfect for a coffee before a Jays game or if you're here for a conference next door. I realized it was already late fall and I hadn't yet had my one and only PSL of the year, so that's what I ordered. It was decent as far as PSL's go and came with a lovely little foam pumpkin on top. Tres adorbs. The iced strawberry matcha latte also looked incredible and I had order envy. My friend ordered a pastry and said it was delicious. They also have a great little selection of food items, canned bevvies, coffee beans, teas, as well as souvenir gifts for purchase such as ceramic mugs. Did I mention the coffee was really good?
