I stopped by Nonni Cafe & Bakery for breakfast and ordered a small hot caramel latte along with the smoked salmon croissant with cream cheese, cucumbers, capers, dill, and red onions. The café itself is beautiful and has a very modern, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. It was extremely busy during my visit, which is always a good sign. Because of the rush, a few tables still had dishes waiting to be cleared, making it a little difficult for some customers to find a place to sit. The tables are also fairly close together, but that's understandable given the downtown Toronto setting. The smoked salmon croissant was the highlight of my meal. It was fresh, flavorful, and packed with ingredients that worked really well together. I would absolutely order it again. My only disappointment was the latte. It looked beautiful and tasted good, but it was served warm rather than hot. Since our breakfast arrived about 10 minutes after our drinks, my coffee had become even cooler by the time I started eating, which took away from the experience. Overall, I still enjoyed my visit and would definitely give Nonni Cafe & Bakery another try. If you like tatte bakery in the US, this is the place for you! they have a pastry case and a menu of entrees and drinks to order. Very cute interior and was not super busy on a Sunday afternoon I had the chicken thigh plate with roasted potatoes and mixed greens. I would 100% recommend this if you're looking for a good lunch! Everything was perfectly cooked and the green sauce on the side was the cherry on top. I also had the mango passionfruit tea, which is refreshing and not overly sweet. My friend ordered the breakfast panuzzo, which was huge, but the eggs inside were scrambled perfectly! We also ordered a ham turkey Brie sandwich to go (from the pastry case) which was the perfect picnic dinner at rbc amphitheatre later that day. read more

Ordered the cheesecake. At $9.00 it was, you know cheesecake but nothing so mind-blowing (like their carrot cake slice omg i still dream of it!) where you'd want another piece asap! Was craving something sweet and popped in on a weekend late morning. Place was absolutely packed so I'm surprised there's only been a few reviews. There's a decent sized baked good section, breakfast menu, and coffee menu. I was in a rush this morning so I opted for two cookies: the chocolate fudge and pecan toffee. The pecan toffee is great for people who love a texture cookie and the chocolate fudge is great for people who like soft, gooey cookies. Only downside I'd say is both cookies are VERY sweet. Like I enjoyed them, but they were so much sweeter than i anticipated. Definitely give this place a chance! read more

This place reminds me of Italy! Their pastries and sandwiches look so good. I got the smoke salmon croissant and it hit the spot. It came with a side salad with a lemon dressing. The croissant was pretty big, I had some leftover. I am not sure I'd order again but I wouldn't hesitate to try other items on the menu. The matcha latte was no good though. Not matcha-y at all, so milked down. It wasn't what I expected and I wouldn't order it again. You order upfront and they bring it to you with a table number. The service was fine. They took my number but didn't give me a drink, I had to chase down a few different staff to get it. Some tables are tight, but comfortable. I pulled out my laptop and did some work too. read more

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. You order at the counter and they will bring your food to the table if you are dining in. There are a lot of tables but the place seems to fill up quickly. My friend and I got the halloumi and spinach shakshuka to share and I got a hot halva pistachio latte. I believe Nonni is still in their soft opening phase, which started about two weeks ago. I came here on a Friday to get some work done and stayed between 8:30AM & 1:30PM. There was a combination of people working & eating, and I appreciate that there was a good amount of seating for folks to do both. There are outlets at select tables, so if you need to charge a device just make a note of where those are. One drink that caught my eye immediately from their menu was the iced mango passion fruit matcha. The drink looked really good, but unfortunately the taste was quite mediocre. I'm not sure if it was the mango or passion fruit, but overall it was quite sour. It could've probably benefited from more sweetener. Service was really great throughout. Sometimes at cafes there is no table service at all, so I appreciate that even though we weren't dining, the staff still filled up our water periodically and checked in on our orders. I love the cool nonna artwork on the wall - the decor definitely leans more modern, while the essence of the cafe feels rooted in its Italian culture. I'll be back to try something from their diverse pastry offerings! read more

Nonni is soft opening right now and it might just become my fav cafe! To start with, just from the look of their pastries - you could tell they are baked to perfection. I have tried quite a number of them and safe to say, everything on the menu was a work of art, from inside to outside. The pistachio latte was not made from syrup but pistachio butter, that isn't not too sweet - Yes I'm Asian and it's the highest compliment. BUT the best thing I tried there was in fact the panuzzo! They have a cute patio thats gives Parisian vibes and ofc, that gained it an extra star. If I could give this spot a 6 star, I would. read more

I really love their croissants, truffle mushroom pastry and "dessert" coffee drinks. I've tried both the iced Nutella latte and the Halva Pistachio one and they are so good and also look very cool. The ambience is also nice. The staff is also friendly, but it does get quite busy at lunchtime even on weekdays. read more

Discovered Nonni Cafe & Bakery as a breakfast spot our first morning in Toronto and went there for breakfast every morning until we left. The food is simply amazing. While Toronto has a lot of great food--we also ate at the Michelin-starred Conejo Negro--what we love about Nonni is the focus on simplicity and fresh, high-quality food prepared with care you can really taste. From the date syrup accompanying the yogurt dish to the tomato accompaniment to the Breakfast Plate, the flavors made me feel that I was in the garden picking the ingredients and eating them there. Will definitely return on our next trip to Toronto. Thank you Nonni for making it a great trip. read more
