fixed and from 2 feet away u can barely tell and the match so far has been good.
    William L.

I had a self done repair accident on my primary couch that I sit on regularly, and ended up making a small cracking area on my 2018 purchase leather couch much worse (look at the pictures). 1. I called around and while LA Leather Repair wasn't the cheapest, they were very respectful and professional. They said its 175 to make an appointment and that it'd be about 300 to repair the arm. 2. John the owner also taught me how to remove grease from the arm so that their dye could stick on better and helped me select the right leather degreaser. And said it'd be about 70% as good as new and they may because its greasy need to come a second time if the chair reverses and the dye becomes tacky or chips, that because it's such a large area they can't warranty it. All of those caveats are expected. 3. Michelle his wife scheduled my appointment via text messages, they were both professional and polite. 4. In about 10 days they were able to come by, service the leather couch and repair. He took about 1 hour and repaired it much better than the 70% as good he quoted, I'd say between 85-90% as good, and from 2 feet away you can't tell it's been repaired or anything happened the color match was good. 5. He taught me how to aftercare for the leather as I've been using too strong conditioning and conditioning it too often, which has been making the leather brittle and dry out. 6. Now i need to wait 2 weeks see how it wears and if i need to call him again for some touch up for an additional charge. Overall it's a great job and very professional, I recommend this place for friends who need their leather repaired or re-dyed.

Friendly husband and wife shop. Communication is friendly and prompt. Quote was received within 12 hours. The husband is the only one that works the repairs, and because he is mobile, he plans his routes depending on his appointment locations. I had to wait about a week for the next available appointment in the OC area, but it was worth it based on his quality of work. Steve arrived a little early, but called me beforehand to make sure it was okay. He worked on my couch for about 1-2 hours and the results were great. He also left me some of the left over custom color match paint in case i decide to do some touch ups. Professional and courteous. Recommended.

Chemo's Upholstery refilled the seat cushions. LA Leather Repair added batting to the back cushions. Riley likes it better now.

John came back 4 years later to give some more love to my leather furniture, and he also added batting to the back cushions on my 20 year old fabric sofa. Great job!

    Lower lumbar discolored.

John came out to repair the seat bolster and lower lumbar on my Lotus Evora. This car came with factory Recaro seats that are difficult to source materials for. Reupholstering the seat would have been difficult and expensive, so I decided to take a chance on repairing it. John underpromised and overdelivered on this project. He said over the phone that it would look much better, but not quite 100%... maybe 80%. As you can see the results were outstanding. I'd call it 98% close-up and in direct sunlight, and 100% as it sits in the car. You simply can not tell there was any discoloration anymore and I'm delighted every time I step in the car. Don't hesitate to call LA Leather Repair and have an honest conversation about your project.

One inch hole in my massage chair.
    Rudy A, P.

A contractor punched a one inch hole in my massage chair, so I hired L,A Leather Repair to come to my house and fix the damage and the gentleman that repaired the hole Steve made my chair look like the hole was never there. I was totally impressed by his work, I didn't expect for it to look like it never happened. Thank you Steve.

You know that sinking feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when your beloved cat claws up your mother-in-law's beautiful leather couch? Yeah. That damage coupled with some discoloration that was already going on, and this cushion was in need of some serious TLC (just look at the before photo). I was impressed by LA Leather Repair's customer service from the get-go; Kirsten is friendly and quick to respond with quotes. When we decided to go ahead with repairs, she found time for us the following day! Steve arrived within the appointment window, was exceedingly friendly and professional, and seriously... I am floored by the quality of his work. The cushion looks like new (but not so new that it looks weird compared to the others which have a little natural wear). In about an hour and a half all my couch anxiety evaporated. I can't thank you guys enough!

    Close up of one cushion

John does phenomenal work. We have a not-too-old leather sofa that has an unprotected leather (a mistake on our part) - all of the cushions were stained pretty badly. John was very easy to get hold of, explained what he does in detail, and was able to schedule us for the next day. The results are amazing - the sofa looks like new, you can't see any of the former stains. If you need repairs to your leather, don't hesitate to call LA Leather Repair

I have a restoration hardware chair that I inherited from a family member. I wanted it to look more presentable and keep it looking fresh! I was very happy with the results and highly recommend their service. Don't hesitate to book with them!

Ask the Community - LA Leather Repair

Do you do full redyes of leather couches so that can match the repair better for hard colors? I ask because I have a matching set of cohches and they're a weird wine red color

Hi William, Yes we do full redyes. Our technician matches the color on site so it matches the rest of the leather. He would then get your approval on the color before…

Do you service the inland empire?

Hi Adrienne, Thanks for your question! The answer is that it depends on the job. For smaller jobs we generally don’t travel that far. our normal service area is Los Angeles…

I have an antique leather book cover would you be able to repair that?

Hi Julia, It depends on the level of damage and the type of leather. Feel free to email us photos sonwe can assess: LALeatherRepair@gmail.com

Hi guys, can you do color restoration for an olive suede jacket?

Hi Laurent, Unfortunately suede is one of the few leathers that we cannot do much with. Occasionally we can remove a stain but we cannot do any color restoration.

Now I have to find a different company to help and this company stole money from me. I will NEVER use them again nor do I recommend them. This company's communication came out to repair a lift recliner chair. The technician, a very nice man, reported that the problem was a wire under the chair. He claimed to have repaired the wire and fixed the chair. I paid him $125. The next morning, when the chair was used again, it once again failed to decline after lifting. I called the company back and reported the chair was not fixed. They got back to me two days later. Then they requested more pictures of the chair in order to schedule a technician to return. I sent them immediately via email. I also told them via email, voicemail & text that it was the Control Box under the chair and to have the technician bring a control box on his vehicle. The company never acknowledged this information. And the technician did NOT have a control box with him when he showed up a week later. Once there, he reported it was indeed the control box and he now had to order the part which could take up to two weeks to receive and 2-4 weeks to come back and install it. AND he wanted to charge me an additional $185 for the part. Their rate for a diagnostic is supposed to be $50. I paid $125 already. And 2-4 weeks? This chair is my mom's only chair and it still doesn't work. Wtf did I pay for? So...instead of fixing the chair, I decided not to. Why sink over $300 into an old chair when a new chair is less than $500? That makes no sense. This company's customer service is non-existent. They don't answer their phone and everything is robotic about the experience. While the technician was nice enough, he did not do the job correctly and preferred to argue when I called him out on it. I maintain that I will not use them again.
