I don't know where to start, this place has one of my favorite tuna dishes ever, their QMT, it is so DELICIOUS. I visited this place for the first time in 2016, with a bunch of friends from college that highly recommended it. After that, every time I go back to Puerto Vallarta I have to eat at this place. It's sinfully delicious. They're known for their cocktails, for what I heard in my table the Lichy Martini and Margarita were the best. For appetizer we had QMT, the pork tostada and jaiba. For main entree the Tuna, the duck (their specialty) and the seafood arroz. All of them just amazing. For dessert we had the cranberry mint creme brulee and the pecan panacotta. Loved the modern chic decor. The lighting is bright like a cafeteria but it goes with the all white vibe. The food and drinks are delicious. We went during a friends bachelorette dinner and ordered a bunch of items to share. The tamarind and cucumber margaritas were superb!! My fav food items were the raw tuna appetizer and the escolar fish entree. The duck and short rib were also flavorful. The oysters were not great. Service was ok - a bit on the slow side. We came here on Saturday night at 7PM, Had a reservation under my name and had confirmed. When we arrived they claimed that we didn't have a reservation and took a picture of my confirmation from a cell phone at the host desk. Finally got sat, there were only like 3 other tables in the restaurant at this time. The service was very friendly and very fast. We are not drinkers and just ordered bottled water for starters, our server was not happy. The ambiance was loud and annoying, not really something that you would expect at 7pm. The Chef send out a Tuna Pate like dish as an appetizer, I took one bite and had to excuse myself to use the restroom to spit it out and to rinse my mouth, We should have left then. We stayed and had the soup, which was actually okay, very rich but okay. I had the Prawns with Clams and Mussels, very similar to a Cioppino. There were shells throughout the dish with grit and a very rank smelling seafood aroma. Again took 2 bites and looked over at my friend that had ordered a vegetarian entree and she was struggling as well to enjoy her plate. At this point we placed down our forks and asked for the check, Paid the check and ran out the door to head back to our resort, where I ended up throwing up what few bites of food that I actually ingested. Same for my friend. FOOD POISONING!! So just think of this before you make that reservation for this overly HYPED up restaurant. VERY Disappointing. read more

I really thought before leaving a negative review, but I think in this case I should, there are so many options for a great meal in Puerto Vallarta that I heard this one was one of the best, I stayed right next door, in a hotel owned by the same person, so they told me I must try it, walked a few steps and I was there. Do you have a reservation? the cuestión seemed harsh since it was raining and I was walking fast to get out of the rain, I told them I didn't had one, that I was staying at their sister property, they found a table in a deep corner of the place. The food was ok, not as good as their prices would make you believe, the service was good but strongly and forcefully tried time and time again to upsell, when I told them I could not drink alcohol, they still tried to offer me wines, mixed drinks and shots a few times, I was told to order their special that is what we are known for. I told them I had dental surgery, so I need something softer, at this time they seem upset that I was not doing what I was told. I had 2 waiters, the main person obviously made me uncomfortable and the second waiter noticed so he tried to intervine and make things better. I order trough him, he seemed more willing to listen. I came a second day late 11 pm for desert to take back to the hotel, this time they would not even take my order, I asked, you close at midnight right, yes they replied, can I order desert to go? Omg you have to go here. Both my boyfriend and I agreed this is one of our new favorite restaurants and were so happy with our meal. First things first: everything is white, from the tables, chairs, walls, floors, bread bags. It looks so cool inside with the white, crisp decor. We made reservations for 3 (date night for us with a third wheel) at 7pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated in the second room off to the right of the entrance. It quickly warmed up as the room filled with diners by 8:30pm. I realized that most people in Mexico eat dinner later than we do. Now, the food was on another level of amazing. I've been craving the duck since I first found out about this restaurant. It is their special and I would a million times over order the dish again. My boyfriend got the sliced Mexican meat (steak and veggies) and he said it was the most fantastic steak he's ever had. Our friend got the duck and the seafood ravioli. The guys liked this dish as well. Sensing a theme here? The guys also got tuna tartar and beef tartar. They both really, really liked the beef. I enjoyed the tuna "cream" and crispy bread complimentary of the chef. Omg amazing. I really can't say it enough how much I love this restaurant. The menu changes daily and you don't have much explanation of the ingredients in the dishes so you have to listen and remember when the waitress explains it for the table. The service was amazing. I'd love to say more positive things about a team that is clearly trying hard, but unfortunately the food was mediocre to poor. I'd like to see more locally sourced ingredients and the preparation needs work - what we had tasted like produce sourced from a box store and our duck was tough and not flavorful. Also give the well intentioned but inexperienced bar staff more training, enough that they can mix and recommend drinks without handholding. A certificate here would go a long way. Finally all those paper bags are wasteful and not in sync with any kind of environmental sensibility. Design and interior were well done. read more

It was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I believe it was a vodka sauce when the healthy dollop of ricotta. We also had the chicken and the mussels. All delicious. The cocktails are amazing. The interior was beautiful, modern and white, unique from other restaurants in PV. The menu changes daily and is only written on a chalkboard that the waiter brings to your table. My friends and I all got either the duck or the tuna and we're all happy with our choices - both were cooked perfectly with interesting sauces and flavors. Ok so I am a picky eater but I decided to open my horizons at this fancy smancy restaurant. The menu is different everyday so you never know what you will get. When the food came out it was like a work of art. The decor is so simple yet very interesting , this place is eclectic for sure. So I ordered the sliced beef which came with mashed potatoes, fried cheese and spinach. The portions are petite but filling. So disappointing the beef was almost purely fat! It was like chewing bubble gum, I spit more out than I ate. The mashed potatoes were good although the portions of that were small, and it had two small fried cheese chips that were so flavorful. The martinis were the highlight of the whole meal! We ordered cucumber martini, guava martini and a red berry martini.... sooooooo goooooood!!! My friends ordered the raw tuna w/ watermelon and loved it, and another ordered the white fish stuffed w/ vegetables and rice they said that was the best of all of our meals. What a gem of a restaurant! I loved this place so much! We came here strictly for dessert but I was so impressed with everything that I can confidently give it 5 stars :) To start off with, the decor is incredible. So simple yet perfect - it is all white, clean, understated, on theme and beautiful. Everything is related to milk and milk cartons, even the artwork is on brand. There is a cute little waiting area in the front as well if they are busy. They had a long table set up in the front part of the restaurant for a big party and it looked amazing - I would love to have a big group dinner there. We were sitting in the upper inside dining area and immediately greeted by a server. The hostess was also extremely kind and helped up right away. We ordered tea/coffee and were given a breakdown of that day's desserts. We opted for a brownie dessert and a chocolate mousse option - both had many details that I don't remember but were elevated versions of a simple dessert. OMG the mousse dessert was to die for! It was so delicious we were fighting for you would get the last bite. The brownie was also so unique and different. Both had so many flavors and were executed perfectly and of the highest quality. The service was impecable, everything was so clean and taken after so well. I wanted to come here for dinner so badly but it didn't work out this trip!! We came here based on my friend's recommendation. First of all the decoration was simple but crisp white. The wait staff Isle and Valentine were very attentive. They suggested the tasting menu and it was great. The sopa de nada (vegetable soup) was excellent. Next was the beef carpaccio which was AMAZING! We also got the QMT (tuna) that was pretty good also. For the main entree we had the escolar meniere which was a white fish. This was also very flavorful. The next dish was the short ribs and that was the biggest disappointment. It was not very tender and it was salty. The last main dish was the la Leche duck and it was great. For dessert we had an orange cake, coffee dessert and then they brought us a chocolate dessert with milk for our anniversary. Finally I think our favorite part was the violinist! She was amazing. Loved the all white atmosphere with milk cartons everywhere. The menu is written on a chalkboard as it changes daily, but it was a little confusing because while the items had some cute names (I.e. Lucky Ducky, Sopa de Nada), we kept having to ask what each item was. Our waitress stood and answered each of our questions, but I wish she had just given us a quick introduction from the beginning. Despite this confusion, the meal was fantastic. One of our party had an enjoyable seafood pasta and I had a beef dish. The entrees were very large and filling and had so much flavor. We also finished off with a chocolate creme brûlée and a banana bread cheesecake for dessert, very good! We had 6:30 reservations which really wasn't necessary because we were one of only about 3 parties in the restaurant, but by the time we were wrapping up the place really started to fill up. Avoid the wine pairing if you do the tasting menu, or you are going to end-up drinking Drugstore wine. They even served White Zinfandel pretending that it was Rosé... Le Leche is a unique venue because the decor is completely Blanco. Wear white to this restaurant and you will fit right in. We were a group of 8 at a large round table. Our fabulous server, Carlos explained in detail all the chalkboard entrees and appetizers. There was variety to please every palate. No written menus because the food changes regularly. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Our margaritas were fantastic. We had 3 desserts to share. The chocolate brownie with orange was the ultimate. Thank goodness I had to share it, otherwise I would have licked the plate. It was to die for. There are some very long tables to accommodate large groups and 3 dining areas separated by a couple of small steps. The only negative was that it was not on the beach to see the sun set. The price was very fair....adequate gourmet portions, drinks and desserts came our to $90/couple. For this service by Carlos and Valentin, we felt it was perfect. read more

This restaurant was about a 2 minute walk from our hotel. From the outside, I honestly did not think it was a restaurant. It looked like a big department store. My husband did his homework and bookmarked this restaurant as one of our nights out. I didn't even think to look at their Yelp page, which is a good thing. As I walked in, I was in awe. White on white on white. Anyone who knows me, knows I love an all white anything. It shows how clean something is. The tables were white, they had different wood chair which were all painted white, and tons of milk bottles on shelves (hence the name "la leche"). At the table, there were white paper bags, which were later filled with bread, and the water came in a milk carton, which was pretty cool. The experience was awesome, but the food is what put the icing on the cake. I honestly thought it was just going to be average. My husband and I both had beef. I don't remember exactly what, but the food was absolutely amazing!! The meat was very tender and the sauce was perfectly thick and tasty. The chef came out to answer any question we had and we filled his ears with compliments. Sorbet was given to us after dinner to clean our pallet before dessert, which I can't remember what we had. All in all, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Puerto Vallarta. read more

A summer thunderstorm thwarted our plans to go to El Centro for seafood, so we copped some umbrellas from the front desk of our resort and braved the rain a few blocks to La Leche. When we first arrived they turned us away, it was around 11 p.m. and they said they closed early (they are typically are open until 1). It was my friend's birthday and we turned back to face the rain with heavy hearts and empty stomachs. While desperately trying to hail a cab, a server ran out to us and said they would keep the kitchen open to serve us. This was just the beginning of a meal bolstered by sweet, attentive and classy service! A note about the decor, it's impressive inside and out. Everything is white and there are super high ceilings. Really cool place to spend a birthday dinner. The food is not traditional Mexican. We had: Tuna pate Vegetable cream soup Salad Fettuccine with shrimp Creme brulee All the food was decent. They hooked up the birthday girl's meal, so for four of us with a cocktail each our bill was around 2800 pesos ($125). The servers put a candle in my friend's brulee and everyone sang Feliz cumpleaños, too cute. They also gave her a t-shirt in one of their signature white bags. Walking in here the atmosphere makes it chill. All white interior, white chairs and table clothes, splashes of black here and there and a simple chalk board as a menu. Seasonal menu likely. Anyway, service was attentive and quiet, and just about everything (except the food) is covered in white. We ordered two starters, the 'sopa verde' and the 'raspado de aguachile'. Both solid. The soup a fish stock base with pureed greens of sorts was creamy and thick, and just plain pretty to look at. The raspado tasted bright - having raw shrimp and avocado and citrus was almost ceviche like in texture but different in flavor profile. Also very good. The chef also sent out an amuse bouche prior, and a palate cleanser after. Both welcome additions. Our mains were the octopus platter with squid in rice, pork shoulder slices, and duck. All solid and delicious pieces that spoke for themselves. Of course my group shared them all. The octopus however was tender and flavorful, and perhaps my favorite of the night. The duck was flavorful and smokey, and veggies quite tender. The pork was solid, and the corn purree was complimentary, smokey and sweet to the pork. The dessert was fantastic. The chocomole and creme brulee are highly recommended if on the menu. They both pair well with Mexican coffee (coffee and tequila) and work so well at the end of the night. Overall, solid food. The overall feel felt somewhat gimmicky compared to the laid back unpretentious San Francisco food scene but won't disappoint nonetheless. However, a reservation online was hard to come by, as they did not email a reply promptly. My suggestion is to make a reservation through the hotel concierge to confirm. Otherwise, a solid and recommended place to eat in Puerto Vallarta. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I felt that it was necessary to share my experience, so maybe this can help them improve their customer service. I was super excited to check this spot out... but the experience was super disappointing. The customer service was awful. I made reservations a week ahead, when we got there they said we don't have a table for you cause they "couldn't" find out reservation. I even showed them the confirmation but they still would not accommodate. They placed us in the bar section of the restaurant with uncomfortable seating and blasting loud music. Not how I wanted to enjoy my dinner. The hostess had a total attitude and didn't make us feel welcomed at all. We even asked to speak to the manager but they would not come out to speak with us, which I don't understand why .. I wish I could say the food was good, but that wasn't the case. My friend's steak was super salty, and my shrimp ravioli was under cooked. The shrimp was raw and the pasta was chewy. Super disappointed, would not recommend. There's soooo many better options out there to eat also half the price of what this place charges. read more

My friends surf and turf came out cold. The whole table of men was served before the only woman at the table. Love the plates. The ravioli was very salty. The brownie dessert was so bad. This was easily our favorite meal of the trip. Save it for the last night of your trip, a meal to remember in PV! The atmosphere is chic - very trendy and it's all mostly white with some pops of black. Fun interior that wasn't overly done, still felt inviting while super trendy. Music wasn't blasting loud, you could easily hear everyone at the table. Everyone loved their meals. Although they change their menu, here were our most memorable dishes: -QMT (quiero mi tuna, "I want my tuna") starter, cubes of ahi tuna with delicious sauce that really complimented the fish - Duck main course - local fish (white fish, i think cabrilla?) main - beet rissotto - looks a bit intense with the color of the beets, but delicious! They were accommodating. Our hotel was releasing baby sea turtles at 6:30 (the time of our original reservation) but they let us push back our reservation to 7:30pm to allow us to experience releasing turtles, as long as we finished up by 9pm for the next reservation which we did. HIGHLY reccomend! Re: pricing, it's definitely more than the prices you're paying around town, but for the quality of the food.. for 2 starters, 3 mains and 3 drinks it was only $100 USD.. you'd easily pay $250+ for the same meal in California LA/SF, etc. read more

Just had the most amazing dinner and dessert. I highly suggest you follow- cucumber martini to start- followed by Mar y Mar and QMT with martini with a twist. Then ordered creme brûlée with Nutella ice cream for dessert. You will melt over this food, no doubt. Will likely come back tomorrow for the chefs menu. Like Nike says, Just do it. For real. Possibly the worst restaurant I've been to in a while. They brought out premade appetizers in seconds (one of which was a tetala -- so the fried dish that is meant to be crispy was a mushy mess). The ravioli ended up being an oversalted mess of a seafood platter in the most unappetizing sauce that is just difficult to describe other than slightly revolting. At one point, mid-chew of an overly fishy/chewy piece of shrimp that would break apart (at least that what I think it was), I just ended up spitting it into the plate. Service came back with the wrong bottle of wine. Just stay away. read more

I love that a 5+ foot tall chalkboard is brought to your table so that your server can explain all of the dishes in detail. Our drinks, a virgin passionfruit marg and a red berry marg, had amazing flavor. We both had sopa de nada, a cauliflower soup that was so much more than any cauliflower soup we have ever had before. The bread was fantastic and soft. Compliments of the chef, we were given an excellent tuna tartare with interesting sauce pairings. For our entrees we each got pasta dishes, which were exquisite and extremely filling. I was underwhelmed by the oreo tiramisu that I had for dessert, in part because it was frozen on one side, but the flavor was good. We started off the night at La Leche in an extremely pleasant manner. Everything was immactuactle from service to aesthetic. This being said, something happened that truly shook us. We were approached by our server with a bottle and two glasses that were ready for pour. We asked if it was part of the set menu that we had purchased, in which he assured us numerous times it was. When the bill came we saw that they had charged us for the drinks we did not order. The drinks the had given to us for "free" were almost twice the cost of our set meal. After two back and forth arguments, the waiter only removed one drink and charged us full for the other drink. He argued that he had told us about this cost in the beginning of the dinner which did not happen, or we would have not agreed to the price. This was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. All in all: good food, but watch out for people preying on you for that extra tip. Very upset at how such a wonderful dinner was ruined by this event. read more
