It seems the restauranteurs spend more money on aesthetic than gastronomy. I think it's also important to note that service was top notch. Everyone was extremely kind and professional.

I don't know what happened to this place, but the last 2 times I've ordered food from them I noticed a dramatical change in their standards. The Alamanara salad is not what it used to be. Now, it is basically 95 % green lettuce and a scarce amount of tomatoes and cucumbers, a very tiny portion of Feta cheese and one thin slice of a black olive. All this with almost undectable amount of dressing. I've talked to the manager the first time and it was fixed. But the second time was to go so I sent them a message through facebook. 1.5 hours later I received a call from the owner asking me to tell the cashier next time I order food from them. I am sorry there will be no next time. They lost a customer. It used to be a good place. I do not recommend it now. You pay way to much for the food quality and portions. It is not worth it. There is a ton of other good places in the same area with same prices and higher standards.

You can see the food being prepared in front of you. Just a great addition to the community, let's start off with why everybody goes. The ambience is next level from pho stars on the ceiling to water running around the restaurant to a bridge. You have to walk over to cobblestone Street to Lyons head facing the staircase. Everything is on Point, the dishes are copper or some kind of metals they're very rustic Make sure your whole party is there to be seated and you do have a time limit on your seating There were five of us so we split the platter the appetizer platter as well as the kebab platter. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing Persian meals I've had. The first thing that stood out to me was that when we walked in, I found it interesting that I didn't see a single Persian customer dining there. After trying the food, I understood why. The prices are outrageous. Charging $23 for a single koobideh kabob that is half of the size of other restaurants is hard to justify(also with no rice no tomato), especially considering the quality. The koobideh had a strange smell that honestly reminded us of the frozen koobideh kabobs we bought from Costco and those actually tasted better. Our waiter told us, "If you're Persian, don't think Leila like authentic Persian food. This place is more Americanized." We've eaten Persian food all over the U.S., and we've never had this experience. This isn't "Americanized" Persian food it simply wasn't good and lacked the flavor and the smell or quality that Persian cuisine is known for. And let's talk about the tahdig. Tahdig is famous for being the most delicious, crispy rice. At this restaurant, it seemed to mean dry rice instead. It was nothing like the golden, crunchy tahdig Persian cuisine is known for. The only positive thing I can say is that the restaurant is beautiful. The décor and ambiance are lovely. Unfortunately, the food didn't come close to matching the setting. We left disappointed, especially considering the prices. If you want to experience how incredible Persian food really is, please try another Persian restaurant not this one.

Two phone calls & having it suggested that we present ourselves & register, then expect a wait. My choice was one of the Argentinean restaurant on Blvd Ag Caliente, wife wanted to dine at a a place in Plaza Chapultepec. We left our names @ the Chapu resaurant and were told a table may be available in approx 40+ min, or longer. Wife suggested we walk up Ave Sonora & we strolled over to the Argentine restaurant in that direction. Wife asked if we wanted a drink. We made our way to Word Bar, which was empty. After a frisk & bag review, complete w/ a punk, tough-guy stairdown we were in & out of est. & left. Crossed the street to a 2nd, empty bar. There I asked for a Glenfiddich neat w/ bartender. He tells me to ask the waiter/security/doorman. Given copies of a plain, no-frills menu while I waited, I asked for a Scotch only to be told food needed to be ordered! Really?? We were looking for a special Valentine's meal & were being insisted to order food @ an empty, no-anything special bar?? Again we declined, walked away. Walked to the back of the lot to the restaurant Tabule, thinking only of reviewing a menu & returning to see about our standby status. At Tabule hostess shared that everything was booked & no tables were available; led into the lower branch which had approx 10 tables w/ partners or small groups of diners as the young lady went for the scan page for us to input & review the menu. Menu was intriguing, seemed even to have great possibilities. As we walked out, I said to the young lady that there seemed to be room in the dining room. She said again, all tables were reserved but that she could ask. A few min later the hostess returned and shared there was 1 table available on the 2nd floor. We enter the 2nd fl & there is a- six peeps table, 3 couples @ tables, & 5 or 6 empty tables! Really?? In Tabule, food was delicious, sufficient ++, relaxed & timed service were all impeccable. Patrons are guided through a mostly ala carte menu (until the meat dish) ranging fr appetizers, salads, pastas to the meats/ seafood/ fowl. Pictures of plates & portions are below. Dishes of note: both appetizers-- bbq baby back ribs & mango & in special chef's chile/bar-b-que sauce (salsa) & the grilled on oak shrimp & baby octopus in butter... ummm!! Next we shared a cesar salad, which was creamy but overly salted. The wife ordered grilled marinated, salmon w/ fresh, handmade pasta & I had baked raviolli stuffed w/ veal & portabello. Both dishes had excellent & subtle seasonings w/ portions large enough for us to bring home leftovers, along w/ two ribs. We were asked about ordering dessert & took the challenge, sharing the date/ nut tart w/ chocolate sauce bathed in ice cream!! It had an absolutely delicate & mild flavorings, along with the mild sweetness of the ice cream. Our pre-Valentine's Day dinner had great, fresh, & tasty flavors/ subtle spiciness and portions were fantastic! Add to this the pleasant setting w/ moderated popular music & our server Hector who had a professional, knowledgeable & great/ funny/ playful disposition & we left totally content & satisfied. We'd had a delightful & special dinner. Another blessing was that for our meal that included a large glass of wine, a Glenlivet scotch, neat, a beer, water & tip and still only totaled under $110. Recommendations: none for menu, but do consider making advance reservations.

It's expensive if you compare it to the surrounding restaurants, but it's worth it. Food is delicious and service is amazing. The portions are usually generous and I've never been disappointed with anything. They also have a lot of delicious signature drinks which I've had a time or two. The only downer of this otherwise wonderful place, is the parking. I would recommend you try and find something on the street, BUT if you're coming here on a weekend night, then just use the valet parking, trust me you'll save a lot of time by doing this.

I got the flatbread wrap as a pita sandwich this time with chicken tika since it's what the guy behind the counter recommended. The pita was fluffy, slightly toasted, and flavorful. There's 4 sauces you can have with your meal but you don't really need it since there so much flavor to the pita (or plate if you order one). There's last time I was here, I ordered the flatbread tortilla wrap and that was delicious as well. It's much larger than the pita sandwich for $1 more. There is no bathroom here but I am told that you can go to Handel's to use theirs. I would removed 1/2 a star for that but the food is tasty enough to overlook it. There is a television on one side of the wall and 80s rock music playing in the background (great track if you ask me). They offer catering as well.

As a result, the restaurant was not crowded, but they were out of several menu items. The restaurant is spacious and very color coordinated. The armrests on the chairs are at a slightly odd height for me but very aesthetic. This restaurant is family-run by a father and son duo. The father was cooking while his son was on the front end of things. The service was super friendly and I really appreciated that he explained the menu thoroughly to us. They were out of beef kabob and chicken shawarma (my go-to). I opted for the liver plate with fries, and also tried a bite of beef shawarma. We were also served a complimentary lentil soup as an appetizer. The soup was DELICIOUS. Soft and warm and comforting, with vermicelli bits in it. It was incredibly flavorful and soothing, something I would crave on cold days, sick days, any days really. I will definitely be finding recipes and attempting to make this myself. Middle Eastern places always have the most delicious, freshly fried fries, 10/10 no notes especially with ketchup (sue me, I'm basic XD). My grilled liver hit the spot. I think my one critique would be that because the pieces were quite large, some parts were quite tough. The roast onions and tomatoes had a good smoky char, and the portions were generous. After I polished off my first cube, the son swung by and set a grilled jalapeño down in front of me, saying that his father recommended parting it with the liver. It's personal touches like this that make me really love a local, family owned place! And his father was definitely right about the jalapeño. That and the pickled cabbage were the perfect complement for the rich, earthy liver. Prices were fair and portions were huge. The service was standout here as well. I would LOVE to come back and try their lamb dishes, and I definitely anticipate updating to a 5 star review then.
