We've done take out a couple of times, so I do like their food, but today was the first time I ate at site having a dinner date with my mom =). It is a small place with seating for about 15-20. You have an option of ordering at a kiosk or with the cashier. There was no line so the young man greeted us and after a few minutes of perusing the menu on my mom's behalf, we ordered. He was very friendly, clarifying a couple of questions we did have. It is fast-casual dining. Place your order and find a seat. If you're dining in, they do bring the food to you. My mom ordered the chicken kabob plate rice. Comes with rice, pita, and a side (she chose a salad). A grilled tomato was added. The portions are very generous. The side salad itself could be a meal if you add a protein to it. She liked the seasoning of the chicken and the fluffiness of the rice. I was drawn to a burger today and opted for the Shah Burger, a cheeseburger topped with gyro meat and the fixin's. The juiciness of the burger paired well with the thin slices of gyro. The only downfall was the bun could not hold up and things fell apart about halfway through. So there I was eating a burger with a fork and knife. The fries were crisp and super hot, seasoned with salt and paprika. They do "gyro fries" so I'm thinking next visit. A standout addition is their sauces which are self-serve. There is Garlic, Tzatziki, Mango Chili, and my super favorite is the the Sumac Chipotle. Great dipping with the fries or any protein. So good, you could dip your pet goldfish in it...just kidding...wanted to see if you made it this far. Come to the Kabob Shack!

This place makes some terrific food. I had the Gryro Pita Sandwich with fries for lunch for only $10.50. The gyro sandwich came generously filled with tender and tasty gyro meat. The pita bread was well toasted on the hot griddle and the sandwich came with a delicious tzatziki sauce. The sauce is made in house. It also came with fresh lettuce and red onions. The French fries came well fried to a crisp texture and were very well seasoned with house zesty seasoning. Very good fries. The service was very good. The gents working the counter was not only very friendly but very efficient and helpful. They offer a good amount of inside seating and a few tables outside. They offer good combo specials.

Fast & friendly service & good portions for the price! Ordered the kids chopped chicken over yellow rice - my son is picky and ate most of his plate! Chicken was tasty and rice was flavorful! Both Falafel and gyro plates were really good too and appreciate the self service sauces with no limit! All sauces were yummy especially the garlic sauce! Will definitely be back!

Definitely recommend Kabob Shack in Eastlake. Tried it for the first time when I was craving a gyro sandwich, also got the chicken rice plate and it was very filling. Sauces are really good. Service was great, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Check em out.

Yummy, hit the spot big time!

Food was AMAZING! Ordered the grilled steak pita sandwich, chicken tandoori, Moussa's famous chicken rice plate and some sides. Highly recommend trying this place. They have great BOGO specials and the food is so tasty! If you like the Kebab shop, you'll be in heaven as this place had a larger variety of food, as good or better and the chicken and steak is so tender and juicy.

Met my friend here for lunch. I did the gyro pita wrap and my friend did the chicken plate. Both were so good and portioned well. Located in a strip plaza with private parking lot. Self serve soda fountain. Also, self serve sauces which I like cos I'm a saucy girl. Friendly customer service.

Tried this tiny spot on Eastlake because I was hungry with my family. It was small but cute . I took my food to go. Service was ok, staff were friendly. I got a gyro value meal with fries. I would like to say I am someone who doesn't mind a bit of salt in my food, but this value meal had quite a bit. I may just stick with a salad next time.

My Overall Grade: B+ This is a good place for scratching that itch for a Mediterranean dish; I wouldn't mind returning to try more of the items on their menu. For another mediterranean spot that I think you should also try see the end of this review. I ordered 3 items To-Go: a rice plate, gyro wrap, and Shah burger. Each plate looked tasty, was flavorful and hit the spot. I did not get to try the burger but I was told it was pretty good. The chicken plate with rice and side salad was for another relative and they thought the seasoning on the chicken was a little salty but that's based on her taste. The gyro wrap that I ate was yummy and very filling, but this one was a tad salty, so I wouldn't order it for someone with hypertension. There is a self-serve sauce station by the front door with 4 different sauces (the most important being tzaziki sauce) which you can take home in tiny, plastic containers. -END- As an alternative you can also try a place called Shawarma Guys, which I would give an overall grade: "A". I love Mediterranean food; I wish I could try them all!

GYRO SHAH FRIES and gyro RICE PLATES

Came here after a workout after hearing great things from friends. We ordered the Beef Shah Fries and the Gyro Rice plate with a side of rice. It came out quickly and was delicious. The rice was buttery and soft, the meat was tender and the sauces were flavorful. We asked for more white sauce since the dispenser was out and the cashier handed up a full cup! My only note would be to have the gyro cut into bite size pieces since they were quite large. The resultant itself is a bit small but there's enough seats if you wanted to dine in! Would come back again!!

    Good to the neighborhood!

First off, the rice has so much flavor and it's moist. It's the perfect balance of spice. I loved that it wasn't just plain basmati rice. I really enjoyed the lamb. You could tell it was shaved off the trompo and had a nice balance of spice and season. The meat was thinly sliced and had crispy pieces but still tender. The chicken has a very heavy citrus flavor and a little spicy. It was grilled to perfect but my preference was it was a little too citrusy. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean salad but they need to do a better job draining the water. The dressing is a lemony vinaigrette. I don't like that hummus isn't included but my sister did get tzatziki because of the lamb. Overall it's a great spot to try. We had food delivered and were completely satisfied. Definitely check it out!

I usually get a plate with wagyu beef and chicken so I can try a little of each, and it's super filling. If you're looking for a lighter meal, it can easily be shared between two people, or stretched into lunch and dinner for one. The garlic paste is strong, so I'd order it on the side if you don't want something too garlicky (I'm the same way). Ordering and getting your food is quick and easy, and the falafel is great too -- not dry at all. Consistent, tasty, and perfect for a quick pickup meal in South Park.

I loved it so much that I went back TWICE during the same week AND before flying home, I bought two döners to take on the plane with us! Fast forward to this trip: we landed in San Diego, dropped off our luggage at the hotel & headed straight to The Kebob Shop before doing literally anything else. That is how obsessed I am with their wraps!!! Everything is ridiculously fresh, flavorful & satisfying. The döner is customizable, perfectly seasoned, savory & packed with flavor. The sauces are addictive - my favorite is the OG (original garlic) & hubby's is the cilantro-jalapeno (which has a good amount of heat). If The Kebob Shop existed near me, I would be there at least once a week. San Diego has a lot of amazing food but this place has officially become part of our travel tradition! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

FAST CASUAL MEDITERRANEAN THAT IS GOOD!…read more I was in San Diego and after my workout in little Italy I asked a few locals where I should go that is somewhat heathy, they all said I should go to this place. I love a good middle eastern/Mediterranean spot! So I went and I wasn't disappointed. The Kebab Shop is a small fast casual place that does middle eastern type of food, they have a lot of wraps and gyro type of things on their menu but the also have plates that come with a salad, rice, a protein, and a pita. That's what I decided to get, but I will say the wraps looked amazing. I ordered the Mediterranean plate. It came with a Greek salad, saffron rice, 1 protein and a half of pita. For the proteins I decided I wanted the beef/lamb mix, the stuff that you see in gyros a lot, and I added a extra kofta for $6. Maybe a little steep but it was made fresh and was good. The restaurant also had a bar full of their sauces so you could add what you wanted to your meal to make it perfect! The meat was hot and well seasoned and juicy, especially the kofta. I would probably just get two pieces of this next time. The Lamb beef mix was good but nothing amazing. The salad was awesome with feta cheese on it and cucumbers and a great Greek dressing. The rice was well seasoned and had great saffron flavor. The bad? Well the amount of rice they gave you was surprising. There was so much rice. So much, and the amount of pita they gave you. You got half of a pita but really a need a full pita. Overall I would come and eat here again. It was a little expensive but I did get a lot of food. Overall it's a win!!
