I was craving for some deli style sandwiches that's not too heavy on condiments, has meat and veggies, and not too much carb and this place has given me exactly what I wanted. It was an UberEats delivery, but the service was fast at prepping and sent it out and when I received the sandwich it was actually still little warm. The sandwich bread was perfect chewiness, and surprisingly the lettuce and mayo inside didn't make it so soggy after a while. I like how they don't overdo the sauce so that it's not spilling out of the sandwich as I'm eating and makes a mess, but also it doesn't overpower and meat and veggies. It was a lighthearted meal to eat yet very filling, I didn't feel guilty after eating such a packed sandwich at all. It's location is NOT CLEAN compared to other locations. When we stood in line a little cockroach was roaming the salad counter space. Really yuck...I had to get one of the kids menu and ask my guy to go kill it so it doesn't end up walking into the salad...I was wanting a salad option. Two weeks ago, I got a caesar salad with everything (dressing, croutons and cheese) and found the dressing too salty at the Town and Country location with friendly staffs! Today, I ordered the same salad but without dressing and croutons. Attached is the picture and the container is probably 75% full. I'm wondering why it's not full? Do they allocate 25% for the croutons? How much are a few pieces of lettuces? Perhaps I should just pick up packaged salad from Randalls or Kroger from now on. Disappointing. read more

It was a BIG miss for this location. A young man took my order: - chicken Ceasars salad with the chicken hot and an extra side of dressing and croutons - Cafe sampler (two sides Ceasars salad and chicken friand) A lady brought my order up and I checked it and the chicken in my salad was cold. I told the lady that I wanted the chicken hot and she says "we don't do that here as of 2 years ago". I said what do you mean, you do serve the chicken hot. She said "ok I can do it but its going to take a long time"..she then says "you shouldve told us you wanted the chicken hot when you ordered".. and told her I did order my chicken hot She took the chicken Ceasar salad back to fix it.. shortly after the young man that took my order comes up with the exact same order..cold chicken and everything.. l told him I already got my order just need the chicken Ceasars salad with the chicken heated up. Luckily, it didn't take too long to warm up my chicken (which I don't understand, they literally have a drawer full of premeasaured hot chicken for salads for dine in orders, so not sure why I couldn't get that on my salad) After I got home, turns out I didn't get my extra croutons and The chicken friand was dry like itd  been sitting under a heat lamp all day. This location is ok. They've got the standard la Madeleine bites. This location has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes I get an alright sandwich, others my croissant has been stale. My recent visit was 4/6/22 in the AM. It was another miss. Ordering to go. It took a moment for anyone to say anything. And when they did it was a young man saying "yeah, hold on" then walked away to get someone. Uuhh the young lady working the counter really needs to work on her attitude/pep. Very dry, just staring at me & my coworker. Couldn't really tell if she was ready for us or talking to another person standing off to the side. No one is saying do back flips, but goodness. A simple hi, hello or good morning goes a long way. I ordered a lemon blueberry pastry & my coworker had croissant w/ egg & sausage. It took some time for it to come out. The Country French breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Scrambled eggs were perfect. Potato Galette was surprisingly delicious. Flavors of shallots and olive oil? Not sure how it was made, but it was so good. They gave me 6 big delicious strips of bacon. The croissant was made with so much butter, it did not need any more butter. Instead of coffee, I ordered hot chocolate. Cold morning. I must say that I don't think I've ever had a better hot chocolate anywhere. Not sure why, but I haven't been to a La Madeleine in years. Major language barrier. One of the machines to pay wasn't working, so had to go to the "to-go" line which we were in first and they sent us down to another register. Took too long and then they didn't make it correct the first time. Manager said that cook probably didn't understand our request. What a waste / especially in this economy/ having to throw out food .. They should have listened the first time. They now provide bread in a small bag if you want extra. But the size of la Madeleine doesn't stop it from being cute with its quaint French decor. But cuteness aside, it's the food that matters. The Country French Breakfast (with 2 eggs to order, with a Potato Galette, bacon or sausage and a freshly-baked butter croissant) was a filling plate! My work hosted a private lunch here the other day in their central private room, complete with salad, sandwiches, chips, and sweet nibbles. All of the food was presented nicely in a self-serve/grab-and-go fashion. We had a group of 12 and the room was perfect for that - anything over 15 people and this particular room would have been a bit tight. Oh la la... My dad became obsessed with his time in France so we have been searching out french pastries looking for croissants. Dad ordered a few plain croissants, tomato soup and a strawberry napolean. I ordered the caramel creme brulee, lemon tart and fruit tart. This was over a course of 2 weeks. Dad (who's very picky) enjoyed the croissants and tomato soup. He isn't into sweets but lived in France and wanted to be nostalgic with the napolean. The caramel creme brulee is so delicious. Yummy! And the lemon tart was the right amount of lemon. Very good. The fruit tart was tasty as well. I've been to la madeleine a few times before for after dinner desserts but it's been a few years. I would love to leave a good review but the wonderful manager is not here any longer moved over to Town and Country location. Noticed the difference this morning and the last time from customer service at the front. The little girl is probably wonderful at putting things in a bag but having problem with the Scanner and even though I asked for a moment to enlarge it the picture, I was encouraged to leave the registrar and go to Elizabeth to finish my order. I've been coming to La Madeleine for my pasta fix for years now. They have several locations around town. It is an up-and-down sometimes in terms of service but the food is always good. I like the quality of their pasta and how the establishment is set up. You can grab a tray and go through the line to order. As you go through the line, you can pick from their wide selections of soup, pastries, and other goodies. We chose a creme brulee cheesecake and a quiche. We also went with their shrimp pesto pasta with a side of bread. You are given a number card and they will bring the food over to you. This place is more self-served. Silverware are off to the side and you can help yourself to their complimentary bread. I remember coming here a while ago with a party in one of their private room. It wasn't the best service but the place has since improved. Not bad for some quick pasta fix. read more

Earlier in the day I had a dental procedure, and the only thing I wanted was soup. With all the Vietnamese options nearby, you'd think I'd go for pho... But I did not feel like chewing. Then I though, "A nice bowl of tomato soup would be perfect." I used to really love la Madeline's tomato soup, until I looked at the stats. My goodness this stuff is, or was, rich. I wasn't really concerned with fat grams on this visit, so it was OK. The soup was perfect, and I even managed a few bite of tomato soup soaked bread. Yum. Had some red wine by the glass too. That help ease some of the pain. Thuy had a salad with some chicken on it. It was OK. Food I'd give three stars. It really is just OK. I added a star for ambiance and a very friendly staff.
