Vibes were very nice here. Staff at different restaurants and bars were so nice. Drinks were definitely watery and not super appetizing. Restaurants were out of most of their food options. Probably wouldn't go back but the view was nice.

Its a really pretty place. Nice to go with kids because it has an open space and almost always have family events and music......but food was, ok...hot dog was bland and the pizza was under cooked. Drinks are EXPENSIVE and have more juice than alcohol.

    Pinchos !

This spot is perfect for a beautiful island like Puerto Rico ! Located in the amazing area of Condado and even better facing directly towards the beautiful ocean! We recently took a trip to Puerto Rico with some friends and we wanted to try some of the best places on the island. Luckily we stayed close by and we were able to find this gem! The awesome part is that whatever you are in the mood for ( as far a food goes ) this is the perfect spot! They have little shops set up throughout the market like Greek, Mexican, bars, Hispanic food ... anything! The service was amazing! We noticed that they had a lot of youth working but they were so professional and knowledgeable and overall amazing people! The service was also very fast and convenient! They even have a way to text you directly when your food is ready that way you can go and take a seat anywhere you'd like and wait for your food! The food was absolutely delicious! Some of the best pinchos I've had :) ! Now the only reason I'm giving only 4 stars is the fact that a lot of the menus are not dated. So many of the menu items are no longer served or have been replaced with other things that aren't on the menu. But overall ... amazing food, environment, view, and service!

Scallops, shrimp, ceviche and a yummy crab cake from the seafood stand.

Still 5 stars. Just updating bc I loved this place so much and to acknowledge the many typos in my first review. Maybe that glass of wine was too good! Go to La Marqueta for a chilled out, beautiful time before they become too popular :)

Perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and a beer. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend eating here while visiting San Juan.

Absolutely beautiful food market to grab a bite and a drink. The view alone is a reason to go but the food is just as delicious. The man who sells the wings and ceviche was so welcoming and informative as we were tourist visiting San Juan. He gave us local suggestion while serving our food and all with a smile on his face.

When in Puerto Rico, this place is a must!!! They open at 12 pm. Be sure to enjoy the view and food. They have a wide variety of options from Asían to Italian to Seafood etc. I live the vibe!

The food and the vibes at this place were so good that we came back the next night! There are little kiosk where you can order DELICIOUSLY fresh sushi, a taqueria, a seafood place, and waitresses that will bring drinks. It's covered but open air. I definitely plan on going back with coworkers in the next couple weeks.

    Wine overcharge!

CHECK YOUR BILL! In splitting the cost of our meal, none of us realized we had been charged $45 a bottle for a wine that was quoted by Kristal as priced at $25 (3 of the 6 of us heard her on two separate occasions...the initial bottle, and then again before we ordered the 2nd and 3rd, which we took to go because we thought it was a good value). We realized our mistake upon returning to our hotel and called to speak with someone. We had to leave a detailed message as we received a recording. NO ONE ever returned our call. Tonight, after dining at STK (great place, BTW!), we walked by La Marqueta and crossed paths with Kristal --who clearly was aware of the issue and that we had noticed her error. She became defensive and said we had all misheard her. Kristal went on to insinuate that it was OUR fault for not checking the bill more closely. True. But, we were left to wonder how many other times this happens? Lesson learned....diners BEWARE!

This is a beautiful place to try a few different food items or just to grab a drink. The view was beautiful! There was a server for drinks but food you do have to go up to each individual counter and order which is not a problem. There is plenty of space if you have a larger party as well. Definitely would recommend and will come back to try more of the food options.

Great open air market with several cuisine options. Dog-friendly. Family-friendly. Great views. Asian. Italian. Mediterranean. Vegan. Puerto Rico. Indian. Seafood. 2 bars. Plenty of seating. Will def be back.

Cool market with stalls for Italian, Indian, Puerto Rican, seafood, Mexican, and vegetarian.

Sweet hangout with food stalls and two bars in the middle. Do not miss I if you are staying nearby since the food is better here than in the hotel. Recommend the lobster roll and the Puerto Rican pork plate.

They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

La Concha is probably a 3.5 star experience overall, and I have a hunch it varies a bit depending…read moreon which room or staff members you get. We booked an "ocean view" room, which was really more of a nice 45-degree angle looking down the length of the beach. Still enjoyable, just something to keep in mind when booking. Some reviews mentioned dirty rooms, but our experience on the 8th floor was the complete opposite. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and housekeeping returned it to that same condition every day. Honestly, it was probably the best housekeeping service I can remember at a hotel. On the other hand, we had the same A/C issues others have mentioned. The room simply wouldn't get cool enough the first two nights, but the engineering team fixed it when we finally inquired. The room itself worked really well for a family. The pullout sofa was surprisingly nice, the shower was very spacious, having the toilet behind its own separate door made getting everyone ready much easier, and the room key is a wristband, so it's easy to keep with you all the time. Unlike some of the other places we visited, it's also removable if you'd rather not wear it. The only other area I'd mention that could be improved is the front desk and concierge. There were a few times they seemed unmanned when we walked through the lobby, and while everyone was friendly, we didn't get the sense they had enough firsthand knowledge of the area to tailor recommendations to different interests, ages, or travel styles. The hotel definitely has a nightlife vibe. Every evening the lobby filled with people heading out in club attire, and the casino is a nice little bonus if that's your thing. The lobby itself is large, clean, and often had a good balance of customers being served and available space for others. The pools were nice, though I'd like to see the third pool reopened before maybe considering it a four-star stay. The beach is pleasant, with plenty of room to relax in the sun, but be warned that the hotel advises against swimming, and multiple locals elsewhere told us the same thing because of the currents. Plenty of people were wading well out or swimming close to shore, but I'd be nervous if I had kids venturing out very far or swimming alone. If swimming is your goal, there are safer beaches just a short Uber, taxi ride, or even a reasonable walk away. (I think the closest one recommended to us was about a half mile to the west.) The location is another big plus. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, Old San Juan is just a quick Uber away, and the sushi bar in the hotel was surprisingly affordable and much better than I expected for hotel sushi. Overall, I'd probably stay here again if visiting that area. It has a great location, comfortable rooms, excellent housekeeping, and enough amenities to keep most people happy. Just go in expecting a lively atmosphere, and hopefully get a room with an A/C unit that's already behaving itself.

This was my third time staying here, and I would absolutely come back again…read more The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. One thing I really appreciate is that they text throughout the day to check if you need anything. It's a small touch that makes the stay feel more personal. I also love that the hotel has a designated beach area for guests. It includes chairs, umbrellas, towels, and bottled water. Just look for the guy in the bright orange shirt under the tree--he'll take care of you! The pool is on the smaller side, but it's clean and relaxing. The gym is also very clean and well maintained. During my last stay, they even surprised me with balloons and a birthday card, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made my birthday extra special. The only reason I'm giving constructive feedback is because this visit had a couple of minor issues that I hadn't experienced during my previous stays. First, my room felt a bit humid, and almost every metal fixture showed noticeable rust. The bathroom accessories, the balcony railing, and other metal details throughout the room were heavily rusted. I understand it's a beachfront property and salt air can be tough on metal, but it made the room look older and less well maintained than it actually is. Second, my room was located near the ice machine, and it was incredibly loud. At first, I honestly thought there was construction happening above us. The machine runs frequently, and every time it did, it actually caused a slight vibration in the room. It didn't personally bother me enough to complain, but I can definitely see how lighter sleepers or guests staying nearby would find it disruptive. It's something the hotel should look into. I never ended up using the food or drink vouchers because there are so many great restaurants and bars within walking distance, so I preferred exploring the neighborhood instead. Overall, after three stays, I've never had a negative experience with any employee or staff member. The service has always been consistently excellent. The only inconveniences I've encountered were during this most recent visit--the rusty metal fixtures and the noisy ice machine. Even with those issues, I'd still happily stay here again.

As…read moreMarriott Rewards members, we wanted to stay at a Marriott property, and we also wanted to be close to Isla Verde, where I stayed the last time I was in San Juan. We considered the San Juan Marriott Resort and the Courtyard by Marriott, but we felt the AC Hotel was in a better location for us. After visiting all three major Marriott properties during our trip, the AC is the quietest. If that is important to you, then it is worth considering. It was important to us, and we were happy that it was not overrun with guests, especially in the rooftop pool area. When our car service dropped us off around 10:00 p.m., there was no wait to check in. We walked straight to the front desk and got our room keys. The front desk staff were very friendly throughout our entire stay, and we appreciated that. When we checked in, I was a little surprised by the mandatory 45 dollar daily resort credit, called a destination fee, that was added to our bill each day. We were required to pay it, then spend it in the hotel at various locations, breakfast excluded. If we did not use the credit each day, it was lost. We felt this was an unnecessary burden, which limited our ability to support local businesses and reduced our options. Our room on the eighth floor was very spacious, and it had a living room, a bedroom, and a balcony with chairs. The room was great, but the thermostat had strict limits, so we were never able to adjust the air conditioning to our preferred temperature. It always felt warm in the room, which I assume was due to energy conservation controls. We had a partial ocean view, which was better than most partial views I have had at other hotels. The view was great for photos and videos, especially during sunset. You could also hear the waves crashing on the beach, even though the hotel is not located directly on the water. There are a lot of roosters roaming around the area near the property, so we got the unofficial 5:00 a.m. wake-up call from them. It was a little disruptive at first, but after a day or two, we were able to tune them out. I want to give a sincere shout out to the housekeeping service. It was outstanding. Every day, our housekeeper came before noon and left the room looking like we had just checked in. It was some of the best housekeeping I have experienced at a Marriott property, and it really added to our stay. We tipped well, because they truly deserved it. The rooftop pool was another highlight. It was usually busy, but never overwhelming. We went several times, and we always found a chair or a couch to relax on. The staff at the food and beverage counter were friendly and efficient, but there were no poolside servers. Most mornings, we ate breakfast at Sobao, which is located at the front of the hotel, and you enter from outside. The food was delicious, and the dining room was always full and lively. The service was great, but they have two different lines depending on what you want to order, which was a little confusing. Unfortunately, we did have one experience that was disappointing. On Thursday, April 30, we tried to have dinner at La Bodeguita, the main on site restaurant. It was 8:30 p.m., and even though there were open tables, we were told we had to sit at the bar. The bartender gave us water and menus, then never returned to take our order. We saw him waiting on tables, checking his phone, and standing around, but he never came back. We were dressed for fine dining, so we didn't understand what the issue was. After almost twenty minutes, we left and went up to the rooftop restaurant, Bar C Lona. It was crowded, and there was only one bartender serving everyone, but she was friendly and working hard. The food was great, and we were glad the evening turned around after the issue at La Bodeguita. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the location of the hotel, the room layout, the housekeeping, the front desk staff, the rooftop pool, and Sobao. We were less happy with the poor service at La Bodeguita, the mandatory destination fee, the rooster wake up calls, and the thermostat restrictions. We would not rule out another stay at the AC Hotel Condado, because the pros outweighed the cons, but next time we will probably try either the San Juan Marriott Resort or the Courtyard by Marriott Miramar, mainly for their direct beach access. This review is meant to provide honest feedback about our experience, both to help future guests and to highlight areas where the hotel could improve.
