Really like this place. Have been wanting an ice cream shop in town for ages. They have a massive variety of popsicles and scoopable ice cream flavors. We have tried several now and they are all very good. Everything tastes fresh and like it is made with quality ingredients. The agua frescas are really good too- the strawberry one is really unique it's creamy instead of just like a strawberry puree. The prices here are really good too. Would much rather come here than Coldstone or Dairy Queen. read more

I have lived in Alpine for over 15 years now, and one thing this town has been missing, was an ice cream shop. When I walked in to Michoacana, the first thing I noticed was that the store looked very clean. I noticed a large variety of ice cream flavors, and an overwhelming number of sundaes and other goodies. In all honesty, I am not a huge ice cream eater, but my daughter got a sundae with churros in it. It was delicious! The ice cream tasted good, the size of the sundae was perfect, and the churros were soft and still warm. You could definitely tell that they were freshly made. As for pricing, considering it is 2025 and food prices are sky high, the sundae was reasonably priced. I will definitely return to Michoacana the next time my family has a craving for ice cream. read more

Fantastic ice cream with delicious flavors! The shop is clean and brightly colored with many treats to choose from including aqua fresca's, , ice cream, sorbet, popsicles and even elote! Everything is delicious and the staff couldn't be nicer. They were either handing out samples, taking orders or cleaning I never saw anyone stop moving that worked there! You can tell when a business owner puts their whole heart into their product. La Michoacana Alpine has a variety of amazing homemade ice creams (the tiramisu one is heavenly ), their agua frescas are made fresh and authentically Mexican. It's honestly hard to drive through Alpine and not stop by here for a snack or sweet treat on the daily. I strongly recommend this spot to everyone! read more

We paid $30 for a large horchata( packaged powder not fresh), tostilocos which they only put hot sauce and topping but no juices like Clamato but has fresh ingredients like fruit and veggies, and a small ice cream. Pricy in my opinion, and the staff wasn't very friendly. I was standing waiting to order ice cream and they would come over wipe the window and walk away and then proceeded to take someone else's order. My husband was paying and had to tell them I was still waiting and they still took their time to get to me even though there were 5 of them. They have a huge ice cream selection though. But again, it's like $5 for a small ice cream cup. And the tostilocos are super dry I like mine saucy. They also have no prices listed on the screen so if I knew the tostilocos would be $13 I would have never gotten them. Same for the horchata, it's just over cinnamon and I have those packets at home. It's a nice thing to have in alpine though because they'll get plenty of business! But I'd rather make it at home for the price. And I'd rather go to alpine Froyo for the ice cream price. read more
