For years they have typically served a drive-thru, and a walk-up window. Coffee & service both good. When the drive-thru line gets long, I park and use the walk-up coz duh, I have legs and don't wanna wait an extra 15 minutes. Two visits back I noticed the walk-up window was closed, and since the drive-thru line was looong, we left. No sale. Last time, as I drove up, I saw a long drive-thru line, but also a person being serve at the walk-up. So I parked my car, but as I approached the walk-up window, it was closed again. I knocked on it. A woman opened the window, and said "this window is closed, we're short-handed today", and then just closed the window in my face. No apology. Didn't invite me to get into the drive-thru line. No sale. Again. To the owner: my money is as green as the people sitting in their cars @ the drive-thru. So either hire more help, or teach your employees how to manage more than one window at a time...and some manners. read more

A must visit when in alpine. It's a little shop but they are always busy. They have drive up or walk up options. It's in the shell parking lot. I love all their seasonal drinks. I was in the neck of the woods in Alpine, CA, when a serious mocha craving hit..specifically one made with chocolate malt. That's when I stumbled across this little hidden gem, Caffè Adesso. It's a tiny spot with quirky coffee names that I actually found pretty unique. The mocha I tried was bold, rich, and absolutely amazing. Honestly, Starbucks and the rest don't even come close. I absolutely love this place! They're always so sweet and give me the perfect drink. My sister in law said it was the best Americano she's ever had. I get their white chocolate mocha Frappuccino with caramel drizzle and I LITERALLY finish every last drop. And their prices are reasonable! My husband and I have been wanting to try Caffe Adesso ever since Mud mentioned it on a broadcast before a Padres game and I am so glad we did. The drive thru line was understandably long but it moved fairly quickly. I got an iced peppermint almond mocha and my husband got the Christmas cold brew and we also grabbed a couple wrapped croissants. Our dogs were in the car with us and when we got our drinks and food they offered our girls treats. They also informed us that the car behind us paid for our drinks (not sure how that happened but we were happy!) My in-laws live right up the street and out of the 21 days we were on vacation... we probably went 17 mornings for coffee. It was SOO GOOD. The line can get pretty long in the morning, but let me tell you, it's worth the wait! They had their Christmas menu and the Egg nog latte and pumpkin chai were amazing. Love, love, love the caramel frappé and the caramel macchiato here! The convenience of the drive-through makes it even better. I tried their lemon loaf, and it was yummy and moist. There's usually a long line, but it moves pretty fast, so it's definitely worth the wait. read more

So the search was on to find the coffee establishment in Alpine. Not going to lie. We could of gone to any coffee shop closer to home and got decent coffee but this coffee place is particularly special. It's owned by the family of San Diego's own Padre pitcher Joe Musgrove. At the time, the Padres team were about to play the third game in a best three out of five series against our dreaded rivals L.A. Dodgers. The series was tied 1 to 1. My family decided it would be good karma to get some coffee here. So driving out to Alpine. We reached the small wooden built drive thru coffee house. Something similar to a nice wooden shed. It's a drive thru establishment but there is also a walk up window to order. We decided to get out of the car and order from the walk up window. The menu had a nice variety of hot and cold coffee drinks. A menu that rivals any other good coffee house. They also had nice assortment of baked goods. At the time there were two nice young ladies taking orders. Overall, a solid choice for coffee type drinks and baked goods. A way better choice than your typical Starbucks. The drinks are exceptional and the baked goods that we ordered were delicious. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Cafe Adesso is great. Drive up and get your coffee here. read more

I got a gift card for this coffee stand about 2 years ago and finally managed to go. I ordered off their seasonal/special menu in the drive through. Be prepared that you will have to wait as the employees are very friendly and enjoy themselves, but that often means they won't move with any real expediency to make your order. Still its an amazing cup of coffee that comes in all kinds of flavors and tastes ranging from excellent simple cold brew to sweet mexican mochas. I stopped off during my drive to get gas and there was this cute little shack that was serving coffee. Now we all know that those little shacks are all the new rage, coffee to go and you never really know what you're going to get. I had a dirty chai and I had to go and find it on Yelp so I could book market to make this a permanent part of my drive. It's a combination of how friendly and cheerful and helpful the girl was that was working there alongside very lovely dirty chai latte was a breath of fresh air after driving for eight hours. Totally a MEH++. They have a great location but unsure where the beans come from. I went with a house blend and I would characterize it as "not wanting to offend". No real robust flavors or bitterness. Kind of a let's not rock the boat. As a drive through, it's hard to do strong varietals and I'm glad there here. read more
