Spoiled avocado on a freshly made torta de Jamon.
    Lety Z.

I've always been a loyal customer to this location but starting today I don't think I'll be purchasing anything from here anymore. I got myself a torta de jamon on my break today and I didn't realize that the avocado they added on my torta was spoiled, it's so black you can't even tell it's avocado anymore. I'm so upset that they did that to me because the torta was fresh, I watched as she was making, I just failed to pay attention to what she was adding on it. I honestly always get good service from them, I wasn't expecting this at all.

I had an amazing banana split withorth my kids on a beautiful Sunday afternoon walk through town.

The first time we stopped in, I noticed this ice cream shop was not what I expected. The paletas are not the traditional flavors the guys with the carts push around. This is a more exciting kind of paleta. Most of them have chunks of fruit in them and some flavors are not what you're used to. I opted for the yogurt when I saw people walking by with a cup full of a white liquid and fruit inside. This is straight up Mexican yogurt. A little sour, liquidy, and addicting. You get your choice of any or all of the toppings: peanuts, granola, Oreos, coconut and raisins. They're pretty brand new and don't really have any signs up with the full menu but so far, from what I can tell, their selection includes paletas, some very creative flavors of ice cream (Mangoneadas= mango ice cream with Tajin and chile), Mexican yogurt, cueritos, and elotes. It seems they are planning on opening a second location in Berwyn soon. The only thing that sucks is that it is located in a small strip mall and since it has quickly become very popular, parking is difficult.

Good prices. Great selection of authentic desserts and snacks. It gets extremely busy when it gets warm out but it's worth it.

Nice ice cream place...but better brush up on your Spanish lol

Not a bad place...prices were good !! I got a 2 scoop and whipped cream for 3bucks and change. There aren't any signs to tell you what the flavors are, so you're forced to try to understand the girls spanglish description of what's what..lol that was kinda annoying but could be easily remedied if they wanted. Nice people, nice prices, and good variety of flavors n toppings to choose from.

    Durring christmas timw !

But recently my commute had me getting off the bus right in front of their storefront, and on a hot, sunny, stressful workday, I couldn't resist stopping in again. It was a completely different place from before. Bright colors, neatly written chalkboard menus and signs, paletas and ice creams as well as other offerings. I haven't strayed yet from their ice cream (it's been pretty satisfactory) and all their flavors are pretty tasty. They have some typical flavors as well as some not so typical ones. The last time one of the staff suggested I try the Chongos Zamoranos, which I ended up getting a whole scoop of. She graciously also repeated the name for me a gazillion times so I could google it later. It was really good! And a flavor I haven't seen anywhere else. Prices are fair, for less than $4.00 you can get two scoops in a waffle cone. Perfect summer treats here! Or winter too if you like ice cream as much as I do!

At…read more10:38 p.m., we were finally next to order when the staff had the customer in front of us tell us they were closed and that they would be the last order taken. There were also about 15 people behind us who had been waiting just as patiently. We understand that the employees appeared to be elderly, and we appreciate anyone who is willing to work. However, it's clear they need more staffing or better organization to handle the demand. Waiting over two hours only to be turned away right before our turn was incredibly unfair and unprofessional. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of communication. There was no apology or announcement to everyone waiting in line. Instead, the customer in front of us was asked to tell us that we could "come back tomorrow at 10 a.m." if we wanted. After investing two hours of our evening, that was frustrating and dismissive. As we were leaving, we noticed the people behind us were also upset and questioning the staff at the window. Rather than addressing the situation, the staff turned off the lights and closed the metal gate, leaving everyone outside without any explanation. It's unfortunate because we were looking forward to trying the ice cream after awaiting their opening this year, but the poor organization and lack of respect for customers' time completely overshadowed the experience. We will no longer be returning.
