The place is a hole in a wall along west side of Central Ave and is pretty much a hole in a wall. It has plenty of dessert offers (and most of them have pictures), so if you aren't familiar with Mexican desserts, you can still get by by picking something out of the photos without knowing much Spanish! The day I went I actually wanted Mango con Creme...but I supposed it came across as just Mango (and they just added chili and all the dusts for me). That said...everything was still fresh..and I guessed..saved me from all the additional calories! I would like to go back to this place to try other things though. It looked like everyone was enjoying Mexican desserts and some savory snacks (like elote/nachose) there. Totally unassuming place..but a good hole in a wall without any pretentions to checkout for sure!

Not that it matters but I'm personally black white and Mexican I grew up with my Mexican side of the family and I know what real correctly cooked elote taste like and I know what kind of texture it should have I took a bite and instantly was disgusted the corn was really hard and the texture was like a hard version of the circle peanut butter candy. That's not how corn should taste or feel so I took another bite thinking maybe it was just a bad part and there is juicy corn elsewhere but it was the same thing. So I got up and asked if I could just get something of the same price because it was not good and I was told "that's the Mexican way" we can't exchange but I can see if my manager will refund, yes I look black from first glance but that shouldn't change anything because I'm Mexican as well and actually speak Spanish and grew up around real authentic Mexican food. I came back today to try them out again because the ambiance is very nice and I figured maybe the fruit will be good even though I wanted to follow my gut and never go back‍I was looking around trying to see what I was going to try and the employee that gave me the elote came out telling me the manager said I can no longer shop there! So yeah we need more real life reviews on here so now I'm leaving this here next time they'll think about being rude to someone who never did anything rude in the first place. The place feels clean, though spartan and there has always been a nice crowd. The menu is primarily in Spanish but with enough English to help. We actually got a chuckle because the cashier told us our number of 54. We noticed all of the numbers were being read out in Spanish. So we're waiting, "cincuenta y dos... cincuenta y tres... fifty-four". When I went to get our food, I asked if they were told to say our number in English! Anyway, we've had their paletas before and they continue to be good. My wife's tres-leches was a bit too full of cake and not enough frozen cream but still really enjoyable. Especially since I just took hers and ordered her something different. My primary food was actually mango with chile and lemon juice. A bit pricey, but not unreasonable; especially for the amount of food. So if you're looking for some snacks, especially paletas, check them out.
