A casual, no-frills Mexican restaurant with friendly and quick service and a large menu that includes allll the meat options. Came here for $2 taco tuesday (usually small tacos are $3 each) and it did not disappoint! The taco fillings were fresh and piled on--really more like a medium sized taco. The cabeza and lengua tacos were perfectly tender and flavorful. The cueritos (pork skin) was new to me and a little too soft for my liking but my partner really liked them. Bakery items were $1.50 each which seems like a steal for how fresh and tasty they were (we got the coconut (white) concha, gallina, and flan cake). Definitely a good space for groups too.

Ten years ago, I would have stated this was a must-go for traditional Mex. They still do have all the off cuts (buche/cabeza/true birria--goat/cueritos--pork skin), and as a market with a carniceria they should. Everything is still well-prepared and delicious. But even before Jan 2021 they had become ridiculously expensive. Now, it's just absolutely insane. You're better off with their lunch menu--should you visit--but it's only weekdays. They must be aware there are other Mex restos in town that are serving the traditional cuts for far less dinero, right? I miss the old days, going back to their original store farther East on Sprague in the 2000s. I'm afraid it's a sad adios to the once amazing La Mich for our family...

VERY NICE INSIDE! The look from the outside makes this place look like a rough operation... till you walk inside. I was greeted immediately, seated promptly, and served the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The prices are good, the portions are great, and the place is very nice & clean inside! I can't wait to go back!!!

Ordered the tortilla soup, as it had some quite raving reviews from my friend, and I was not disappointed. The tortilla chips were nice and crunchy, the cheese melted deliciously in the soup broth, and the broth itself was so good. I asked for onions and cilantro, not sure if they usually come with the dish but it doesn't hurt to make sure, because they definitely were essential to the soup. The chicken and avocado in the soup were both delicious, with the flavors of the broth adding just the right amount of spice to the chicken and the avocados adding a difference in texture to the tortilla chips that was so very much appreciated. I may have been something of a tricky customer with all my requests for more things but honestly it was so worth it. Ask for extra limes too, they cost $0.95 but are super worth it. Adding the lime juice and a good bit of hot sauce made this soup absolute perfection. This place is also so authentically Mexican, with the servers and I assume chefs all speaking Spanish and being overall accommodating to all our requests.

While getting my audi serviced at the dealership, I saw this authentic little beauty from the dealership, and had to check it out. This is the BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT I've experienced in washington, hands down! The lengua was done to perfection, everything had an amazing flavor, bringing memories of growing up. With their oven warmed chips they serve their home salsa which is delicious, along with a side of beans, and a cilantro avocado onion sauce that is amazing. This will be a regular stop for us... without a doubt...

Our server was very busy, handling both the bar and restaurant areas. We all started with appetizers, which we shared. Fried green beans were good, kind of spendy. The onion rings were great and the tarter they came with was nice. The mozzarella sticks were good, the marinara was cold and chunky. For meals, two of us went with their Irish Stew, salad, and absolutely delicious cornbread. Our other friend tried their Burnt End sandwich. She said it was really good. What I really wanted was BBQ turkey, which is on their online menu but not on the menu in the restaurant. It was a good experience and we'll definitely give them another try in the future.

The Mad Cow Reviewer…read more Well, color me udderly impressed! I wandered into McKracken's Irish Pub in Spokane Valley after a long day chewing cud and was greeted with the warmest "moo" of hospitality I've felt in ages. The owner clearly knows how to make everyone--two-legged or four-hooved--feel right at home. Let's start with the Guinness--cold, creamy, and poured with care. It's enough to make a bull tear up with joy (and that's saying something). The Irish stew? Hearty, rich, and packed with flavor. The cornbread is the real surprise--soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for soaking up the last bits of stew. Whoever's in that kitchen deserves a medal--or at least a salt lick of appreciation. They've got WiFi, so you can update your herd on your dining adventures, and the regulars add to that cozy, small-town pub vibe. Karaoke on Fridays is a real treat too--nothing like hearing a few pints in patrons belt out "Don't Stop Believin'" while I hum along in low, soulful moos. All in all, McKracken's is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in, loosen your bell, and stay awhile. Great food, cold beer, friendly faces--what more could a mad cow ask for? -- The Mad Cow Reviewer

UPDATE: 6/5/2026 some obese not male person was threatening…read moreme because my dogs were barking inside my vehicle. She got her man mad and he stood up several times to tell me he was going to knock me out. I spent $80 there, bought several people drinks then the bartender kicked ME out 5 minutes to closing because other people were being aggressive towards me even after I told her that people are threatening me over an hour before and she did flup all then blamed me for the whole thing. She said she's been working there for 1 year but I've never seen her once. I'm not going back I went there the other night with my gf. I walked up to the bar to order a pbr. There was one guy in front of me who was served a pint of beer. After he walked off with his beer, both the bartenders there told me it would be just a minute and walked off into the side by the cooler. They did nothing and talked for a few minutes then walked around aimlessly for a few more while I just stood there waiting to order right after another person was served. I got tired of waiting so I left. You couldn't pay me to go back to that shithole. Been going there off and on for over 20 years now. It has slowly and consistently declined ever since my first few visits. No more live music, no more karaoke, no more private patio, nothing. The bartenders are the worst I've ever seen. I'm not going to pay someone or tip them for horrible service. I'd rather see that place go out of business and replaced with a parking lot. Owner hates weed, everyone in there is sad af, no music is ever playing. It's just depressing.
