Made an appointment for 2:30 on a Saturday we got there about 5 minutes early and you would think we were trying to step things. I am assuming the owner (older Asian woman) asked what we doing here, told her we were the 2:30 appointment, her rude deminor told my wife pick a color and wait. I am standing there and she told me to sit down she will be with me when she is ready. Now mind you there is no one in the shop, so we left never to return. After we left the nail salon and went to have lunch the owner called my wife, she didn't answer because we were eating. Then she sent a text saying we should not be giving bad reviews and that I (the husband ) should not be saying anything. This is why I think the business has no one in it. I love this place for waxing! I have had my eyebrows done at many different locations and this is by far the best I have come across. The lady that does the waxing is super fast and they always come out perfect. I have had a mani/pedi done on a couple of different occasions and they did a good job. Ming (husband) and Lan (wife) are terrific! I got a full face waxing, manicure and pedicure. I got right in, Lan did my face wax and manicure and Ming did my pedicure. Fast and good brow shape. Also good price: $8 cash or $10 card. But I had to tweeze several strays when I got home. The ends and anything higher or lower than right against the shape was not removed. This review is for waxing only. I normally get my eyebrows waxed by my hair stylist but noticed over the weekend that they were desperately in need of a mid-style waxing. I didn't want to go through the trouble of making an appointment with my stylist just for a brow wax so I decided to walk into LA Nails and Waxing to get them cleaned up. When I entered the salon I was greeted in a friendly manner and asked what service I needed to have done. I was then taken directly back to the waxing room which was comfortable and private. The woman who was doing the waxing discussed my desired brow shape with me before going to work on my brows. She worked meticulously on them until they came out absolutely perfect. The waxing service was $8 + tip. I am strongly considering making this my regular waxing go-to rather than having my stylist continue to wax my brows after this experience. read more

I can't vouch for the nail service BUT the waxing is absolutely on point. The lady who waxes is extremely fast and very skilled. $8 for eyebrows every time and it takes under 10 minutes. My grandma is a regular at this location. She used to come here every 2 weeks and she loved the owners. The woman had just had a baby and my grandma always asked them about it. They're very personable people, and always very nice to her. My grandma was in a wheelchair and they were pretty accommodating to her. Unfortunately, I don't think she gets her nails done here anymore. She can't exactly move from a wheel chair to a car back to a wheel chair anymore without losing the ability to breathe (she has an oxygen tank she has to have 100% of the time), she's too weak to go anywhere anymore. It's too bad, she really loves this salon. Now, because she always talks about this salon I went here myself to have my nails done. She talks so highly of them you would think they do her acrylics with pure 100% gold and she leaves richer than when she came in. Like, She LOVES this place. So I go to the salon, didn't have to wait too long. I have had to wait long times in the past though, when I brought my grandma up here. Most of the time it's only the owners working. So I ask for an acrylic manicure only. I don't know what it was, if they were having a bad day or something, but they weren't as cheery as they normally were every other time I came in. The wife started on my nails. Now I always ask for round tips and short nails when I come in. That's just my preference, it's what I ALWAYS ask for at any nail salon. When I told her round tips, and showed her how short I wanted them, she said that would be ugly and told me to get them done longer. I said ok?? I guess you can do them a bit longer but I still want them rounded. She sighed. So she does my nails up to the acrylics, which she did half of, and the husband took over. He was very nice, he always is. I didn't mind that they switched and she took a lunch while he did the rest, but other people might. So he finished off the job and painted them and I paid and left. I did just want to mention that the woman had a bad attitude while doing my nails, and wasn't acting like her usual self. Maybe because she didn't recognize me from coming in with my grandma? But if she did think I was a new customer I don't get why she would be kind of rude to me. I didn't return for a fill in because I also did not love the way my nails were done. They were ok but not my favorite. At the time I had a salon that I preferred but this one was just closer. Aside from all that, they do have a nice little salon. Never had a pedi or wax there, but my mom has and she says they always do a good job especially on waxing. They do have a public bathroom. They don't have very much of a waiting area.. just chairs lined up by the front door. From what I remember they had a good range of gel polishes but not too many regular polishes. Really would've liked if they had a polish wheel they could show me, because the color on the bottle isn't always the same as the application. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Minh's wife did my full set and left three different times while doing my nails. While doing my nails she was on her phone most of the time. I felt uncomfortable with how rude she was so I questioned about paying for what I already had and then leaving to go to another nail place. She began yelling at me and tried to stop me from leaving. Even when she was doing my nails she was not listening to me when I told her what I wanted. I did not get the length or shape that I wanted. The facility is ran down compared to other nail salons around the area. The prices are cheap though so I suppose you get what you paid for and apparently I paid for rude,hasty and impatient service. I left very unpleased. I suggest trying a salon like v nails which is a little pricier but has MUCH BETTER NAIL TECHNICIANS despite the poor reviews and things I have been told about this nail salon I still gave it a try and I COMPLETELY REGRET IT read more
